Pascal, Pon and Elderpaw are open for plotting! I have vague ideas of what to do with Pascal and Pon but if anyone wants to start something with Elderpaw, feel free

icarus fell , interesting concept for sure. that's the sort of little design I'd like to get if I ever got a tattoo. or perhaps something that resembles a painting- it's hard to choose.

Saltstorm , oh no! recover soon :)

Kitty McJams , out of curiosity since you may have hinted it at one point.. will there be any sort of ritual or task for loners/outside cats to join the clan? and, unrelated but is it possible for cats who were not clan born to have a connection with StarClan?

    Pascal \\ tom \\ loner \\ 26 moons \\ scent - dust, spearmint

dark navy with brown ring on tail, paws, and around eyes. white on jaw. light amber/pink eyes. short, lean build, long head. long haired

The cold ground felt harsh against Pascal's paw pads despite the ever rising sun. A chilly breeze ruffled his dark coat, and the tom wiggled his whiskers in annoyance. He pondered for a moment what made him even leave the house so long ago, and how he'd even managed to survive this long. Hunting was one thing, but he couldn't help but start feeling... on edge ever since the two cats began to follow the thawing river to their side. The loner opened his mouth- only greeted with stronger unfamiliar cat scent that made his skin prickled and his ears pin back.

He instinctively froze, and attempted to call out to the adventurous kit in front of him- his heart beginning to pound in his ears the longer the strong scent permeated into his senses. He was beginning to sense that none of this had been a smart idea.. and his brain slowly started it's rapid descent into worry. What if they died? Met other animals? Pon was so young, he'd be so guilty if something were to happen to her...

    "Pon- We...we shouldn't be here."

He mewed softly and with a strong French accent, nerves allowing it to show through against all his struggles to keep it out.

    Pon \\ she cat \\ loner \\ 4 1/2 moons \\ scent - wind, strong flowers

white with black tortoiseshell pattern. large light grey patch on left side. sun yellow eyes. long tail, stocky build. short haired

Pon's head was flicking around so fast, it was a wonder she wasn't dizzy. The young she-kit 's long tail trailed behind her in the wind as she bounded along the riverbank- unhindered by the unfamiliarity of the area. Her yellow orbs were wide when small ears honed in on the shuffling of creatures in the underbrush, though her loud pouncing scared anything within her radius. Her short legs burned with fatigue of their journey from their warm home, but she adamantly ignored it. Look at the sun, the flowers, even the river with it's fresh water! There was no doubt she was destined to live this wild life, and not the warm and secure one left behind. Just as she let out a jubilant mrrow of satisfaction, a hushed and nervous mew caught her attention.

"Oh c'mon, what do you think'll happen? That's probably just new forest scent.."

She put simply, giving him a bemused look while her paws kept pacing in place. Pascal had been a good friend so far, but he really wasn't the most courageous cat. She needed to find a band of big, strong cats- oh what she could accomplish them!

Elderpaw \\ non binary \\ warrior apprentice \\ 9 moons \\ leopard \\ mentor- Jaggedtail \\ scent - licorice, menthol

black with speckles of dusty brown. ginger tail, right side + chest. dull green/amber eyes. short tail, long legs. tall ears, round head. skinny build.

Elderpaw sat in the shade of the apprentice's den, allowing some of the fresh breeze to ruffle their speckled coat. They let out a low sigh, even closing their eyes slightly to fully bask in the pleasant weather. Although many cats were eager to shed their thick leaf-bare coats and see the sun once more, Elderpaw couldn't help but miss the eery peace and chill that could reach right to your bones. It made the apprentice feel alive, as terrible as it sometimes could be. After a moment, they pinpointed a shuffling from the inside of the den and glanced at the bundle of fur through the bracken. They huffed a little to themselves- it was practically sunhigh, yet Rabbitpaw was snoozing away.

    "Morning,"

They mewed with a steady tone before looking out into the clearing again as if to scope out what needed to be done for the day.

    Pascal \\ tom \\ loner \\ 26 moons \\ scent - dust, spearmint

dark navy with brown ring on tail and paws. white on jaw. light amber/pink eyes. short, lean build, long head.

    - waiting for interaction, walking by the river. previous post above -

    Pon \\ she cat \\ loner \\ 4 1/2 moons \\ scent - wind, strong flowers

white with black tortoiseshell pattern. large light grey patch on left side. sun yellow eyes. long tail, stocky build.

    - waiting by the river with Pascal. open for interaction. previous post above -

Elderpaw \\ non binary \\ warrior apprentice \\ 9 moons \\ mentor- Jaggedtail \\ scent- licorice, menthol

black with speckles of dusty brown. ginger tail, right side + chest. dull green/amber eyes. short tail, long legs. tall ears, round head. skinny build.

Elderpaw flinched at Rabbitpaw's energetic response and tucked their ginger tail tighter to their body before speaking reluctantly.

"How should I know? Looks like Jaggedtail's got other ideas anyways."

The young cat said seriously, a bit of sarcasm making it's way into their voice. Although Elderpaw was a bit perturbed as their eyes spotted the ginger coat of their mentor heading toward the mender's den, but they could easily join one of their patrols if she was busy for the day.

Elderpaw hummed a farewell as they watched the fluffy apprentice bound away with their mentor, and found themselves giving a curious hazel look at Breezepaw, who seemed to be more interested with watching his brother and mother than their conversation. They didn't mind- small chat was annoying anyways. So, Instead of answering, Elderpaw began to lick at their flank before sitting up to head toward their mentor.

a prophecy would be great! and i really like the idea of a rogue group / clan conflict of sorts.

Kitty McJams , what if on top of your idea for cats joining the clan the cat in question also had to be evaluated by the diviner to see what their cat is (leopard, tiger, lion) and if they fail / diviner does not sense a spirit, they can't join? or something along the lines, I was just trying to think of a way the guardian spirits could be incorporated

Kitty McJams , just a thought, I'm glad you like it!

...what if that rogue group was started by a cat that was turned away from the clan and holds that against them even though they were willing to be loyal? that'd certainly be a reason for the group to detest the clan :0

that'd be a great way to have Redcreek more involved and have a little bit of conflict within the clan! on top of the rogue thing, what if there is a little bit of tension with the loners who are joining around this time too since they're worried about rogue spies?

as for love triangles, I really want Pascal (or even Elderpaw to an extent) get caught up in something like that to get him out of his shell a little. so if anyone's interested there, let me know!

PoisonGelatin , I'm really open to anything :)) Pascal will most likely join the clan as a caregiver and he'll be a little bit alienated so maybe one of your characters could be someone who reassures him in that situation and they gain a relationship that way?

If you meant they as in Elderpaw (and were mixing names), Jaggedtail is their mentor so that's a start. I'd have to think of a way the two would break the ice though, as they both have a similar personality and won't be keen about starting a conversation

REDCREEK , that sounds about right to me! I would just find it really interesting if he could connect to his kit like that. really though it's up to jezzemay~

turtleleaf. , I'd certainly be interested in making a rogue of that's for sure where everyone's decided that's where the plot should head. would the positions for the group be similar to a clan's? the details would have to be worked out first

PoisonGelatin , I'm truly flattered, thank you :0 :) I like your character's too so I'll be sure to get Pascal involved with them. we'll have to see where the plot goes !

alright I like where that's going.. so maybe that dare of sorts is what rewards a cat with the nickname lion and the spot as ruler. since rogues are normally vicious (soft cats don't usually break the warrior code, afterall), the dare could just be a fight to the death with the current leader? that'd certainly scare them all a good amount, and shows a test of strength. sort of like a wolf pack in that sense. it's possible Jana was a special case, where the cats sensed that she would become very powerful. Even better- what if she was the one who started the tradition of the fights and passing down of her nickname? perhaps she was the first one to challenge the previous leader and win whereas before the position was simply passed on to a cat of choice?

and therefore, maybe the name if the group could also be associated with the word 'lion'. on top of being a threat to the clan, that too could also be a reason for the groups to hate each other since SpiritClan has a deep respect for the lion too.

ooo sneaky~ although I really like the idea of them needing to work together, and protecting territory makes the most sense. I see a lot of potential with having the cats meet (maybe some secret clan cat x rogue kits, or a rogue joins the clan etc) and a prophecy for it all would top it off. what if Jana also uses this opportunity to gain more info about the clan, though pretends as if the alliance is trustworthy?

what cat should receive this message? should it be the kit Redcreek is overlooking? Or Sunheart (the diviner) ?

I was actually interested in getting Pascal acquainted with mending (although we talked about that and it's full enough as is) / divining since I think it'd be entertaining to see how the clan would react to an ex loner having those abilities. plus he's the opposite of who you'd expect.

that's only if no one else has an interest as well or it wouldn't work for the plot, as i wouldn't want to steal the position of course. there's time to work out these details ^^
