Spotkit:
'i wish i could have seen it' thought Spotkit enviously. just because she went outside when Dapplefur was sleeping! come on, she was doing a favor not waking her up so early. besides, no hawk or eagle in its right mind would be up that early.
((well, When Zephyrlight is sick or something, then Hawkfeather can mentor fawnkit, if thats okay.))
Featherstar:
seeing that the whole clan was awake, Feahterstar decided to start the ceremony. she jumped up onto the plateau and called her clan. "All cats old enough to catch your own prey, join beneath the Plateau for a clan meeting!" She yowled loud enough for the whole clan to hear
Dapplefur:
Dapplefur heard the leaders yowl and ushered her kits outside, including Spotkit. "you four are to stand near the nursery, okay? good. Oh, Come here you two." She meowed. Dapplefur pulled the Applekit and Fawnkit towards her, giving them a quick wash.
Greyear:
"thats good to hear." purred greyear. When greyear heard Featherstars call, he dragged himself out of his nest and headed out the door. "come on Zephyrlight, don't want to miss the apprentice ceremony."
Featherstar:
She looked down at the two young kits and started the ceremony.
"as you all may know, Fawnkit and Applekit are six moons old and are ready to be apprenticed."
Featherstar looked at Fawnkit
"Fawnkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Fawnpaw. Your mentor will be Zephyrlight . I hope Zephyrlight will pass down all he knows on to you."
Featherstar:
Featherstar purred slightly at Fawnpaw's enthusiasm. She then looked at Applekit.
"Applekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Applepaw. I will be your mentor."
Then Featherstar jumped off the plateau and went to Applepaw to touch noses.
Featherstar:
"come on you two, were going to patrol the borders with Hawkfeather. Then we can show you around the rest of our territory." Featherstar said to the new apprentices. she was glad that they both liked the mentors they got.
Dapplefur:
"well, now that the ceremony is over, all of you should go in the nursery and leave your poor mother in peace." she told the kits. they all went inside the nursery quickly. Dapplefur then padded up to Greyear and got into a really boring conversation that you probably wouldn't want to hear.

Featherstar:
Along with her new apprentice, Zephyrlight and his apprentice, and Hawkfeather, they went out of camp and started patrolling. "how do you like the outside of camp guys?" Featherstar asked the apprentices,"big, huh?"
Soot:
Soot had been dozing when a butterfly landed on his nose. He sneezed and woke up immediately. 'What if the clan cats went by already' he thought worriedly. he smelled the boundary line. didn't seem fresh... still stale, so they must have not come yet. Relaxing, Soot sat back down and forced himself to stay awake. 'i wonder what they do to housecats like me?' he wondered
Featherstar:
"come on everyone. stop bickering and lets get on with the patrol. if were lucky, we can catch some prey."
Featherstar told everyone. she may not be leading the patrol, but she still was leader.
Dapplefur:
After finishing her conversation with Greyear, she went back to the nursery to see her kits. they were all napping. "Hey Greyear! im going out for a bit, kay? Could you watch the kits for me?" Dapplefur asked Greyear. "sure thing Dapplefur. i won't let anyone lay a claw on them until you get back" He replied.
with that settled, she went out of camp. she saw the patrol group not far off and went the other way. 'maybe i will go down to the plains later today, after i check on my kits again." she thought
Spotkit:
Spotkit had just woken up from napping to see through the entrance of the nursery Greyear outside of it dozing. 'if only Greyear wasn't there, then i could go outside and play' she thought 'i know! patchkit, he will have an idea." Spotkit went over to Patchkit and nudged him with her paw."Patchkit, get up! I need to tell you something." still sleepy, Patchkit got up.
"what is it, Spotkit." he yawned
"i need know how i can sneak past Greyear to play outside"Spotkit told him. immediately Patchkit perked up."Sneaking past cats, breaking rules? You've come to the right person. Yellowkit, BlackKit, wake up!" Patchkit nudged each of them with his nose. yellowkit got up, but BlackKit was still sleeping. Patchkit head-butted BlackKit and he Yowled with surprise. "agh! im awake!" BlackKit said
"good, now that were all awake, Patchkit can tell you how we are going to sneak around Greyear to play outside." Spotkit said to all of them. Then they all huddled together to hear what Patchkit had to say.
((that's fine. i can't role play until around 3:00-4:00 depending on homework. plus i don't know if we are in different time zones, which can be a problem.))
Featherstar:((we are kinda in the mountain area, coming to the plains as a update where the patrol was))
Featherstar purred slightly as Fawnpaw stalked the vole and brought it back."Very good Fawnpaw. you managed to catch a vole without any training yet! you can eat it if your hungry. only hunting patrols have to bring back prey."
Yellowkit:
Yellowkit watched worriedly from just outside the nursery. BlackKit and Spotkit were beside her. Patchkit approached Greyear who woke up when he scented them. "You kits should be in the nursery. im not supposed to let you out until Dapplefur gets back." Greyear told them
"but we need to go to the dirtplace greyear. especially spotkit. we didn't want the nursery to smell bed when Dapplefur got back so we were just headed to the dirtplace when you woke up." Patchkit told Greyear in his sweetest kit voice. Yellowkit wanted to go back inside, but she also didn't want to be left alone. "well, i suppose you can go in the dirtplace, just come back after." Greyear said after a moments pause and settled back down to sleep. "thanks Greyear!" Patchkit mewed to Greyear. Greyear twitched his ear to show that he heard. Patchkit looked back at all three of them and beckoned them to follow. 'i hope Patchkit knows what he's doing. we could get hurt, or even worse, Dapplefur found out!"
They went to the dirtplace and was about to go back out and play when Spotkit Stopped them.
"i want to sneak out of camp and play out there. if we go somewhere thats sheltered, then we won't get hurt by hawks." Spotkit showed them a way out through the dirtplace and started up it. Patchkit followed shortly after. "well, as long as we stay hidden" blackKit said as he too climed up. yellowkit, seeing that she was alone quickly scrambled after them"wait for me!" she meowed
featherstar:
Featherstar scented a cat that was not not from Flightclan. probably a rouge.
Featherstar looked at all of them and beckoned them to follow. 'so much for Hawkfeather leading the patrol' Featherstar thought as they all went toward the rouge scent. Fawnpaw had brought her vole Featherstar noticed, probably so the hawks wouldn't carry it off. Right above the rouge she waited until it saw her. when it did she looked straight into the tom's eyes. "what are you doing on Flightclan territory?" she said dangerously calm.
featherstar:
Hissing in exasperation as the rouge ran away towards camp she started chasing the rouge when Applepaw called her. looking at her apprentice she said "oh, many things, but not in front of them or else they might get ideas. but right now, a rouge is entering out camp thats needs dealing with. Hawkfeather, you and Zephyrlight, along with Fawnpaw will continue the patrol while me and Applepaw go attack the rouge." she turned back towards Applepaw "ready to get your first battle lesson?" an excited gleam in her eyes. Featherstar then raced back to camp to stop the rouge.
Dapplefur:
while walking, she saw a hawk overhead and a small mouse on the ground. she hid so the hawk wouldn't see her. Then after a while, the hawk dived and killed the mouse. Dapplefur attacked the hawk and they tussled for a bit before Dapplefur got the killing bite. panting, she picked up the mouse and the hawk and headed back towards the clan.
Featherstar:
Featherstar was looming over the rouge when she heard Hawkfeather's remark. "if you don't mind, Hawkfeather, i will handle this with Applepaw."She turned back to the rouge."he must have a good reason from stealing our hard earned prey. let him speak, then i will decide his fate. and don't you dare lay a paw on my apprentice rouge or my claws will be the last thing you ever see" Featherstar hissed. 'this is just what i need, another problem in this clan.' Featherstar thought angrily. Even with the help from starclan, things happen that she never expects.
Dapplefur:
Dapplefur just got back to camp when she saw Hawkfeather blocking the way. "move you big furball." she told him through the prey as she shoved her way past him. Dapplefur started heading toward the freshkill pile when she saw a strange cat with all their prey in his mouth. "Who is this, and why does he have all our prey? where are my kits, did he take my kits?! he'd better not have layed a claw on my kits!" Dapplefur hissed, prey at her paws and claws extended.
Spotkit:
they were just about to leave the area around camp when blackKit stopped. "guy's somethings going on down there, and Dapplefur's back! we should go back down so we don't get in trouble." BlackKit said.
Spotkit was taken aback. he was more interested in camp then exploring! "yeah, i hear it too. ooo, it sounds like a battles gonna take place! i can not miss that." patchKit said then went back down. BlackKit followed and yellowkit half fell half slid down. 'fine, i'll go with them, but i will be back out here' she thought as she went back down. They all huddled near the dirtplace entrance to see what was going on.
Featherstar:
Featherstar too, held the tom down. "Fawnpaw and Applepaw, i think its best if you stay to the side on this one." she told the apprentices, then turned her head back to the tom. "give me one good reason why i shouldn't rip you to shreds right now and end your miserable life." Featherstar hissed in the rouges ear.
Featherstar really didn't want to hurt this starved cat. he was just starved and that was making him reckless. plus, though no one knew, she heard what happened to this cats mom and was traumatized by it. 'kill me for thinking this, but if this cat is willing, i might let him be part of my clan. he has a fighting spirit that would be handy in battles. he might have even made a good leader if it was his destiny." she thought.
((time update: it's almost the afternoon. A lot sure did happen this morning!))
Featherstar:
Featherstar looked at the rouge, lying on the ground."what would you say if I offered you a position in the clan?" Featherstar asked the tom. She hoped he would say yes to her offer. All cats deserve second chances in life.
Featherstar:
Featherstar knew that her clanmates were not happy. they obviously did not trust the tom. Featherstar looked at Hawkfeather. "well, seeing how you don't trust this rouge, Hawkfeather can be in charge of watching him. at night, we will also make sure to have a warrior guarding the camp, along with me." Featherstar turned back to the rouge. "he can see how it is here, and, if he likes it, he can join as a actual member. if he runs away, or decides he does not want to join fully, we will chase him off if he ever comes on again."
Spotkit:
Spotkit, seeing that the trouble was over ran out of the dirt place over to the rouge. "hi, whats your name? im Spotkit. i do hope you stay, its really fun here. we all look out for each other and---" Spotkit started then Dapplefur saw her and came over looking furious. "what were you doing outside of the nursery? you know your not allowed to be out here! you three head back to the nursery right now!" Dapplefur had seen her littermates and they all went back to the nursery. Spotkit looked defiant. "well, i had to use the dirtplace because i didn't want the nursery to smell bad when you came back!" Spotkit trudged back towards the nursery, then ran back to the rouge. "maybe i can tell you more about the clan life later" she whispered then went to the nursery.
Featherstar:
Featherstar turned to zephyrlight and the two apprentices. "we need to finish the border patrol sometime today. Applepaw, i understand if you can't go this time."
Soot:
having sat at the border for ages, he decided that they were not coming. Soot went back to his den and settled in for a nap.
Featherstar:
"Zephyrlight, if Applepaw wants to come, she can. i say she doesn't have to serious injuries. If Applepaw gets tired out, we can sit for a while and i will take her back while you finish the patrol. Applepaw, be honest if you get tired out." Featherstar told them. "come on, lets go." Featherstar headed out of the camp
Dapplefur:
Dapplefur sighed as she watched Spotkit trudge to the nursery. 'Spotkit is so determined. i hope that doesn't get her into trouble one day.' she thought. Dapplefur looked over to see Ace leaving his leftovers at the freshkill pile. 'thats disgusting! cats eat from that you good for nothing rouge! dogs eat better than you!' Dapplefur thought it, but never said. "Hey Hawkfeather, do you know where he's going to sleep? i can only hope it won't be near the nursery." She asked Hawkfeather.
((time update: its after the patrol and their just coming back. sun is on its way down))
Featherstar: padding into camp she looked at the others behind her. "Applepaw i'm impressed at your endurance, but you were still injured." Featherstar said then addressed the apprentices. "i want both of you to get something to eat and relax for the rest of the day. you have a lot of training tommorow." Featherstar then went to under the plateau and watched her clan.
Soot:
Soot looked up to see the sun slowly setting in the distance. Panicky, he went to the boundary line and scented that they passed. 'mouse-dung! now i have to wait another day!' he thought anrgily. He hunted a little and caught a bird that was too stupid to realize he was there until he pounced on it. Soot went back to his den and ate.
Spotkit:
Inside the nursery, Spotkits littermates were playing warriors and yellowkit was the mouse because she was so jumpy. Spotkit sat out and was listening to the warriors conversation. 'so thats where the tom will be sleeping! tonight i will sneak out and tell him more about our clan. and as long as i'm back in here before Dapplefur wakes up, i should be fine!' Spotkit thought happily. there was always some way to get around punishments. what they don't know can't hurt them, right? Spotkit then joined in the game to pass the time.
Dapplefur:
Seething about the kit comment, Dapplefur went over to Hakfeather. "Well, i guess some Rats never grow up, do they. This one has obviously never had any friends. He would get scars more than his scares!"
Dapplefur commented. Ace obviously scared cats into getting what he wanted, or at least tried to. but the results ended in him getting scared of them!
(( there are a couple of ferns in the mountains, but not too many. there's a lot more in the plains.))
Featherstar:
after watching the clan for a while, Featherstar went to her den. 'What am i going to do with Ace?' She thought. 'no one likes him, and he doesn't have a very good temper. i hope he decides to stay. with the right training, Ace could become one of our strongest warriors!' Featherstar went to go rest in her nest, she would have to guard tonight.
