As he attempted to rake Swiftyspirit's belly, Palefur realized that reinforcements for Firestar were pouring in. This battle isn't over yet, he thought.

As Palefur slid out from under Swiftyspirit, he snarled in fury. Partly because he had missed, but mainly because there were so many mousebrains attending the battle.

Palefur glanced around, searching for more crowfood-eaters. He still couldn't understand what made these horribly mousebrained cats fight for such a horrible leader.

Palefur dropped a cobweb beside Northwinds. He may have been a mousebrain but he didn't deserve to die.
