aurlo nodded, understanding completely. he himself had moved plenty of times, only to come back because he did not like the particular place. ari noticed the muscles rippling underneath the other's reddish brown coat, and quickly averted his gaze. clearing his throat, he tried to think of something to do. You wanna go explore the tunnels? he inquired, a serious question. exploring sounded childish, but it might just be fun.

Ah, come on Jake. I think you can do better than just "Hey." whelp, there was aurlo's usual sarcasm and charming smirk. he was a bit cocky at times, but it was all an act to cover his depressed self up. he didn't like showing his true emotions. or seeming weak. as a waitress asked him what he would like to drink, he replied with, Diet coke. because sadly, he wasn't legal just yet. -

aurlo grinned, which was very unlike him. he then bounded over towards the tunnels, crashing through the undergrowth. he knew jacob could keep the pace, because the reddish wolf was larger and had longer legs than himself. finally stopping at the tunnels, he checked behind him to make sure jake was ready. -

aurlo did as he was told, opening his pale golden eyes to find none other than jake. his eyes met the other wolf's gaze, refusing to break it. something tugged in aurlo's chest, but he simply ignored the emotion. Jacob.. he grunted out, feeling weak for not being able to get up just yet. he probably seemed like the world's largest wimp. -

So, Jake. Have any little crushes lately? aurlo's smirk deepened. he called them "little crushes" only because jake was about two months younger than he himself. so of course, ari had to pick on his age. when they got their drinks back, aurlo put straws in both of the cups out of habit, before blowing the straw wrapper at jake's face. -

Ari. that nickname had only ever been used by his sister. but the way it rolled off jake's tongue.. aurlo liked it. he winced as his wounds were cleaned, and he managed to pick himself up. the wolf was very tough, and shrugged the cuts off like they were nothing. I'm okay. Thanks.. he sighed. why did jake have to see him like this? he stumbled slightly, with an annoyed grunt. maybe he did need to let the other male bandage his wounds... -

ari swiftly caught it, grinning. Make. Me. two simple little words. his eyebrow quirked up in a challenging way and his smirk quickly returned. the waitress came by and smiled at them. So, how long have you two been together? she asked, and ari choked a bit on his coke. Ah.. We're uh.. he stuttered, obviously mortified by the question. his eyes had enlarged and his cheeks reddened the slightest bit. -

aurlo grunted, following obediently. if jacob was the alpha, then aurlo was definitely the beta. second in command. his tail flicked back and forth, and he watched the fellow canine's movements very carefully. why had he been so shocked when aurlo first opened his eyes? hmm. Who's room? Mine, or yours? the wolf questioned, trying to keep up. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:400px;]
aurlo slipped in first, amazed by the lit tunnels. and they were just getting started. You ain't gonna split up on me, right? he asked, completely serious. ari wasn't scared of much, but getting lost definitely made that list. -

the waitress gave them both a knowing look before walking off. ari rubbed the back of his neck with his hand, face returning to its normal color. What a weird question.. he trailed off. it wasn't, really. they did sort of look like a couple. but aurlo doubted that would ever happen. there's no way jake liked him like that. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:400px;]
ari nodded, and into the castle they went. it was simple, being the third room on the left. aurlo nosed it open, looking around at his room. there was a queen sized bed, a desk with weapons laid out, a radio, and a closet. it was rather clean in his room. medical supplies were in a box in one corner, and blankets and pillows were in another one. ari flopped down on his bed after dragging the medical supplies over. he had no medical knowledge. Uh, you can sleep in here until you get a room.. I mean, if you'd like. ari lowered his ears, a bit embarrassed. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:400px;]
You look a bit red.. Are you hot? he asked, then realized his question. I mean temperature wise because clearly, you are, you know, attractive... he trailed off and immediately shut his mouth. the young adult began to pretend to stir his drink, avoiding eye contact for a moment before looking back up at him. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:400px;]
ari nodded, staying a good distance away from the other. he began to get cold in the tunnel, and shivered a bit. the torches should have kept the tunnel warm and cozy, but that was not at all the case. aurlo made a turn, and the tunnel opened into a large cavern, with a small creek. Wow.. he grunted. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:400px;]
You can take the bed. he offered, rough voice softening the slightest bit. he winced at the burning of the fresh cuts, and lowered his ears slightly. Thanks, by the way. his gratitude was genuine, which was very rare for him. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:400px;]
ari coughed, and then looked up at the slightly younger adult. Whoa whoa hotshot, did you just tell me no? he was back to being normal, with a small smirk on his full lips. he couldn't help but look down at jake's lips, but quickly switched his gaze back to jake's own. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:400px;]
aurlo was tired of never expressing emotions. he was also tired of his grey colored wolf body. and so he had shifted, becoming a tad big smaller but keeping his muscular form. his eyes shifted from pale gold to dark chocolate, and his fur became less rough and more fluffy. not to mention his fur was now a mixture of different brown hues, with the exception of both black and white. as for his personality? he was going to actually be himself instead of covering up all the time. he wore a small grin on his maw, and content with himself, he flopped over and laid there. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:400px;]
Okay, I'll make a new rule. Every time you tell me no, you gotta kiss me. Got it? his eyes were challenging, a small smirk on his full salmon colored lips. aurlo was rather lowkey and smooth about things, especially if he wanted something. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:400px;]
I thought you would try to keep up, at least. he playfully teased, offering a grin to the other wolf. Ain't this nice? he grunted, looking around at the large cavern they had found. the waters were crystal clear, and little diamonds surrounded certain places. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:400px;]
the wolf noticed her,his ears flicking slightly. South..? he questioned, rather confused by the very familiar scent. that had to be southernjezebel. it had to be. he just knew it. with a grunt, he flopped down beside her. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0;font-size:8pt; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:400px;]
Last time I checked, I'm older. And fine, you'll never get kisses. he challenged stubbornly, sipping his diet coke before letting out a small cough. it was rather fizzy. as the waitress came over again to ask what they wanted to eat, ari immediately knew what he wanted. I'll have the largest steak available, rare, with seasoned curly fries and a loaded baked potato. he said smoothly, then looked over at jake with a small grin.
