[font=times new roman][color=white]Angelpaw seems like a sweetheart, but tbh I don't believe I know him well enough to say much else. Perhaps Escudo and him could have a thread?
[Color=transparent]#escudo
[font=times new roman][color=white]Quite unaware of whatever was going on with Vasily, the maned wolf padded up to his almost friend. He classified Vasily as this, because he would consider all of the other animals in the Bureau as aquantices, expect for perhaps Nikki who was also in this in between variety. Escudo may be understood as nice enough, but the truth was it was highly difficult for him to form relationships with other people, where he could express a bond with them. Where he could feel like he could call them a friend. Some might call it paranoid, but he wasn't willing to let too many close to him.
And even though the youngster couldn't exactly be considered to know the flame point well, and he had no idea of what was going on, he had an odd sense that maybe something might be wrong. Probably because he was so perceptive of people's feelings, the male explained to himself. That had to be it.
Yet, Escudo didn't offer any words of consolence or ask if the feline was alright. Instead he plonked himself down beside Vasily, a respectable distance maintained, with a noncommittal greeting of "Hey."
(I'M assuming this is an open thread rather than an one shot but I can butt out if needed and delete this post.)

[font=times new roman][color=white]All Escudo was left with was the uncomfortable feeling that he may have met Vasily before, or someone that reminded the canid of him. It was a jiggling sense of deja-vu vulnerability that after how his name had rattled in his head he was unwilling to ignore this time. It was weird and unexplainable, and he didn't like it. Vasily himself seemed fine to hang around with, but the feeling of not all the dots adding up that he was left with once the flame point was gone annoyed him to no end. Worst of all had been that feeling when the older male had started shuffling his paws.
It took longer than usual to fall asleep, but when he did he dreamed of the stars.
--------
This time, Escudo was out 'hunting' or more accurately on a walk, or even more accurately on a mission to avoid everyone. The wolf avoided the border, and yet also the camp, ending up in the middle of the territory where he wasn't sure if there was avoid so high or low chance of anyone coming around.
One might ask why he was doing this. Well, the answer was the pounding head ache, his knotted stomach, and a tingling under his skin that all heralded a coming seizure. It probably wouldn't occur until another half a hour, if the maned wolf's predictions were correct and yet he was out here. Some might say this was stupid, that S this was just a thing that happened he shouldn't try and hide it. Everyone knew he had epilepsy anyway.
But Escudo hated people seeing him in such a vulnerable state. Seeing him as weak. He wasn't weak, and yet he didn't know how to control this better than to try and let people forget about it. It wasn't like he was always falling down in camp and freaking the shit out of everybody all the time. It was his plan to make people realize that even if he had this, it didn't matter.
Mostly though because he hated others to see his vulnerabilities, call it vanity but he wasn't ready to let people see that side of him.

I love it.
I just remembered a love plot I had for Escudo's (insert word for the person someone is reincarnated from here)
It'd be really weird now, because all the motives would be mixed up.
[Color=transparent]#escudo
[font=times new roman][color=white]Escudo would probably freak out if he found out Nikki was pregnant. Not because he liked her or anything, but she was younger than himself and he still considered himself to be a kid. Sure, it happened, but Nikki? That girl was the walking personification of innocence in the maned wolf's mind. Except when it came to gross stuff like slugs, then she ranked right with him on those stereotypical boyish things.
Anyway, he was glad to see her back in her old body. Escudo had mostly disliked the munchkin body as it made him feel like he had to be super careful, whereas her winged melanistic body was much more hardy. Not that he cared that much, of course.
But it was her question that mostly grabbed the canid's attention. What should she do? Having no idea what was going on, he merely assumed she was bored. So he would graciously be her saviour in her time of need.
"I say you have a conversation with me and thoroughly enjoy yourself." He answered with a smirk.
[Color=transparent]#escudo
[font=times new roman][color=white]Escudo was the first to appear, the Cabinet Member carefully remembering the feline's scent for later reference. Although he knew about Windclan, this was the first time the youngster was actually coming into contact with one of their members. In that sense, he wasn't the most experienced guy around.
"Ho." The maned wolf answered, padding up. "Do you need me to get Lorem or Mockingbird?"

[font=times new roman][color=white]William is super-duper cute and him and Escudo need a thread
[Color=transparent]#escudo
[font=times new roman][color=white]When Escudo went under this time, he already knew it was going to be different. This hadn't come on as it usually did, and so what would happen between now, where he had lost awareness of the fact that he was falling and probably about to land a nasty bruise on his cranium, and when he would wake with doubtlessly a couple people worrying over too of him was going to be different.
Did that mean he was in same real danger of brain damage this time? Hell, Escudo didn't know. But the unexpected familiar burst of energy in his mind that signaled a seizure was beginning was enough to freak him out more than his aura usually did.
He'd been happily eating away a bit of fresh kill when his aura started, but that didn't both him at the time because usually his aura began a few hours in advance. Despite the mild headache and the faintest tingling sensation under his skin, Escudo had leisurely finished his meal and lumbered to his feet. Maybe he would talk to someone for a little bit before going out 'hunting', but he hadn't gotten that far. He'd taken a few steps towards the exit of the camp before, bang, he was down.
Outwardly, his forelegs were beginning to jerk and anyone familiar with his condition knew that usually movement was not typically a part of his so called episodes. The movement would begin to travel down the body, but Escudo wasn't aware of this. No he was left inside his mind, scared and unable to reach out.
That's when he raised a paw to scratch a dragon curve into the wall. There were many like this in his cabin as he did this when he was bored, but this was totally wrong. The wall was made of a drab wallpaper on plaster instead of the familiar wooden boards inside his cabin. His paw was ginger, a feline's paw, and it slowly faded into cream. A flame points paw.
The scene changed, this time he was in a room where bones lay scattered about the place. He was so small, as he picked up a little bone in order to study it. These bones, the male realized, were not of any living creature that he knew of. They were yellowed with ages, and some had hairline cracks in them where they would have been damaged from one thing or another.
Now he was curled up in a ball on a window ledge, looking out at a forest. Afternoon sun was warming his body. Despite the fear Escudo was feeling in the back of his mind somehow here he felt at peace. A bird flew out of the trees, as if startled by something, perhaps a botched attempt at hunting by a Trainee. He felt the edges of his mouth quirk up in a condescending smirk, he would have dine so much better...
He had a stick in his mouth, as he dragged the piece of wood against the ground, creating a maze in the dirt. This was something as well that the canid did when he was bored, but this memory was not one he recalled. He didn't know this maze, and he didn't recognise the brown dirt. The earth here, at the Bureau, was redder in hue.
Now he was elevated above a crowd of people, faceless and unrecognizable. Not even sizes or pelt colours stayed in his mind. Someone was singing, a kit by the sounds of it. Female. She had a nice enough voice for someone of her age, but it wasn't anything special yet. "I'm going around not in circles but in spirographs" The young voice sang.
Escudo wanted to shut out, shut it all out. These weren't his memories, they didn't belong to him. He was someone else entirely right now. As memories of silly, useless, events flashed across his mind he felt like his physical was rocking slowly to itself somewhere forgotten and overwhelmed by what he was seeing. No people seemed to penetrate these snapshots moments, it was only himself.
The canid screamed, a sound of the rage of a animal cornered and choosing to fight because there was no way left to flee. And that was when it stopped, and he opened his eyes to see the overcast sky above. The sky he had eaten his meal under in what seemed an age ago now. He drew in a shaky breath, not convinced that this was over yet.
(Yoooo part one of a few threads where Escudo remembers)
[Color=transparent]#escudo
[font=times new roman][color=white]Ears flattened as he whipped around at the sound of someone greeting him. What? Escudo didn't feel any better to see that it was Vasily, and yet he forced himself to try and get his ears back up in a relaxed position and his face into a normal friendly kind of look instead of that flash of irrational anger that someone had come along right now.
Vasily looked casual, but Escudo was anything but. Which sucked for him, because he wanted to get dealing with Vasily over and done with as quickly as possible and he was probably only piquing the flame points curiosity. He had time, the maned wolf was guessing, to hold a quick conversation long enough to make an excuse to part ways again, but there were no guarantees. The male probably wouldn't even care about him wanting privacy to do his seizure thing, but he wasn't even ready to mention that.
"Uh, Vasily." He said, totally failing at the acting thing. "What, er, what are you doing here?"

[font=times new roman][color=white]Can Escudo and Bri have a thread?
Anyone want a thread with a skittish/cagey Escudo in the light of his latest development? He'll most likely be rude fyi
[Color=transparent]#escudo
[font=times new roman][color=white]Her small jump surprised the male. She wasn't usually this... skittish... That was the first clue for Escudo that something might be wrong. However he brushed this mild feeling of unease off for now. Unfortunately his intuition had kind of been 50-50 recently so right now he didn't trust it enough to act upon it. Maybe she'd just been talking to herself and was surprised someone had answered.
"Hello." He replied, raising an imaginary eyebrow. He found the cheetah mildly amusing, but this was also directed go Vasily. Whom he found intriguing and mildly uncomfortably familiar.
[Color=transparent]#escudo
[font=times new roman][color=white]Can you make it? I'm a bit tied up with making threads for another character right now.
[Color=transparent]#escudo
[font=times new roman][color=white]It's totally fine, I hope you feel better soon uwu
[Color=transparent]#escudo
[font=times new roman][color=white]Escudo wouldn't say he knew that many people, but he'd seen plenty round. Brightlingsea included, however saskia had not posted in his thread as the flashing lights would set off the canine's epilepsy. He wasn't naturally the most social creature, but with his promotion he felt the need to have at least said to hi to everyone at a minimum of once.
So the maned fox padded up, the simple greeting of "Ho." announcing his arrival.
[Color=transparent]#escudo
[font=times new roman][color=white]Escudo, Saskia decided, would have an age crisis and desperately cling onto his Peter Pan Halloween costume made by Louis. Or perhaps not, however that would be amusing.
Anyway, he was glad that it was Felix who asked if Nikki was alright and not himself. That way he was only obliged to deal with her feelings second or third. He was the type not to pry because he didn't want to have to deal with other people's problems. That could be selfish of him, but he would only be more mindful when someone was close to him. Which wasn't to say he didn't care about Nikki, but she wasn't yet a close friend and he wasn't really about to initiate that kind of thing yet.
"M'fine" He shrugged.

Please don't worry about saying you don't like him, I'm just curious to see what you guys think.
also, if you reply you get to see what Escudo (not myself, as all the characters here are wonderful) thinks of your character
