Bastet, a kit, walked all alone through the forest. Shadows had murdered her parents and brother. A cat called purity who came in the middle of the night and then... Now she walked alone, trusting nothing and no-one.

Capricorn remembered wandering of to play in the grass. Suddenly he was grabbed and thrown into a cage by a twoleg. It carried him into a building reeking of fear and death. He was shoved into a corner. Kittypet food splattered him. Then he passed out.

Capricorn was now a warrior. He had lived his whole life in the lab. Strangely enough he was very happy. Cats came and went, talking of the sky and grass and trees. What we're they? Pictures nagged at the back of his mind, and memories. He pushed them all away. The grey warrior yawned and cleaned himself. Every so often he would dream of him as a kit, and other cats with tees and water and wind. Then he feels a strange longing but the feeling of bliss here made him ignore them and over time they became less than a memory. It was like he had lived his whole life here.

Capricorn was taken away to have another operation done. He felt hot burning pain in his front leg, then it passed and he slept. When the cat woke up her had a shiny silver plate on his leg. "Specimen 671 is tough. He survives every time and soon or dream of machines from life will come true!" he never bothered to think about why this was happening our watt specimen 671 meant. He was just happy all the time after an operation. The cat loved it all here in a way there were no words for.
