Saroke's eyes widened. To name another's pup! She was silent for a moment, then finally she said, quietly enough that you had to lean in to hear "How about Xintar, meaning 'defender of the fallen'?

Saroke smiled, and a weight lifted off her chest. Sitting down and lifting her aching paw, she asked "are you comfortable, is there anything that I can do for you?" Saroke wanted to be as helpful as she could be.

Saroke flicked her ears doubtfully and rose to her paws. Heading towards Mistik, she glanced around, hoping to see a familiar face. Saroke reached Mistik's cave and called out "Mistik? Moakier wants me to get another splint... the other one sorta fell off this morning."

Ooc: should Mistik (so that healing is faster) put a guard close to her nest (for a time) so that she doesn't move?

Saroke blushed. "Sorry, it got loosened when I went to...erm, check on Moakier this morning..." holding out her paw, Saroke found herself thinking about the amulet. "I know were it is." She blurted.

Saroke nodded, ashamed at her outburst. When Mistik was done, she stood carefully and headed for Cist's den. Upon reaching the guards posted outside, Saroke smiled and said "I need to speak with Cist about the amulet." One stood, nodded and ducked inside. A few quiet words were spoken, and the guard beckoned Saroke in.

Saroke looked down, thinking about her injuries in the past. "By the end of tomorrow, granted I don't ruin the healing." She replied. Flicking her ears, she wondered if he knew the name that she had given to his son. Ready to go, she asked "is there anything else I can do for you?" She asked.

Ooc: it is almost dusk by now.

"There's nothing else to do! I can't hunt, I can't patrol!" Saroke protested in her own defense. she then flicked her tail in Moakier's face, like a mother would to a naughty pup. "Now, what can I do?"

Saroke nodded and smiled. "There, now that's better."

    4 day time skip

Saroke yawned, streching. Standing, she padded out into the main cave, where several wolves were getting ready for the day. Walking over to Vir, she perked her ears. "Mistik cleared me as 'uninjured' last night!" She said happily.

Saroke brightened at this, then frowned slightly. Who would go with her? She knew that she should bring a guard, and she wanted Vir and Moakier, but Moakier had to stay with her pups, and if Vir got hurt... Saroke shook her head to dispel the thought. Glancing at the busy cave inhabitants, Saroke wondered if she should just go alone and leave no risk of anyone else getting hurt.

Saroke smiled inwardly, but she was also worried. What if Moakier got hurt, then who would care for the pups? Hin stepped forward, breaking her thoughts. "I will go as well." He declared, sizing up Vir.

Saroke was torn between an agitated huff or a grin. Settling with an eye roll, she looked at Cist. "When do we leave?" She asked, her paws buzzing from anticipation.

Hin nearly howled in frustration. How was he supposed to warm up to Saroke with that useless heap of fur on his tail? Keeping his cool, he steadied his breathing and stood. Sliding up against Saroke's fur, and resisting to do more, he said, with a meaningful glare at Vir "I'll go when you're ready."

"Sorry" Saroke said, regretting waking him up "it's just that Vir, Hin, Moakier and I will be leaving to find the amulet at dawn tomarrow and I was wondering if we could have some traveling herbs..."

Saroke ducked her her head and whined slightly. Why did she have to cause problems?

Time skip to just before dawn.

Slipping into the dark cave full of sleeping guards, Saroke found Vir and Hin. Nudging them awake, she padded back out to the main cave where she had laid the fresh kill she'd just caught. Finally, she swung her head to gaze at the nursery, waiting untill Hin and Vir were eating before standing to get Moakier.
