"No, it's just a little ways outside" She explained, her leafy green eyes searching him for any signs of calling on or launching an attack.
-
"I use the herbs in this clearing for my clan..." She explained, seeing the interest in his amber eyes. She looked up from her paws to meet his gaze, "This isn't Clan territory, is it?"
-
"Nice catch!" Erresi smiled, panting. I should've gotten closer before bolting, what a workout... She thought to herself.
-
Brindlecloud looked confused, "Aren't warriors supposed to stay in their territory? Won't your clan need you for something?" She asked him.
-
"I'm sure you would've found a way," Erresi gave her clanmate a friendly nod.
-
She chuckled back, "I think they can manage without me for a few minutes," She said, smiling. "And plus, I have a known reason to leave... Most clans will question a warrior leaving on his own," She stated rather generally, but referred vaguely to the golden tom standing in front of her.
-
"Hunting's always better with someone else," The golden she-dog agreed.
-
"Outside your territory, all by yourself? What are you really doing here, surely you're not just exploring..." She questionned him slyly. A mischievous glint in her eyes.
-
"Yes, good idea!" She said happily, wagging her tail. She enjoyed border patrols.
-
"So your territory has no prey? Your grin is telling me otherwise..." She put on a goofy smile herself, her leafy-colored eyes looking deep into his amber ones.
-
Erresi bounded along behind her, wagging her tail happily.
-
"Are we just patrolling this border, then bringing the rabbit back to camp?" She turned to Frost.
-
"You struck me as more of a warrior type. You're not a medicine cat, are you?" She asked, even though she was sure she already knew the answer.
-
Brindlecloud laughed and gave him a friendly shove, "Sure, your medicine cat and their flying hedgehog?" She laughed.
-
She chuckled and shook her head, "I believe you're changing the subject... I told you why I'm here, is your reason really that dark and sinister that you can't tell me?" She looked back up to him from her white paws.
-
Brindlecloud nodded in comprehension, "Yeah, it's always nice to just get away from it all sometimes," she sighed, remembering how hectic clan life was all the time.
-
"So..." She bought time to think of what to say. The only thing she could come up with was: "So do you have a family back in RiverClan?" She looked down at her paws at the awkward question.
-
Thrushfeather padded out of the warrior's den, his muscular shoulders rippling under his long, dark pelt. He sat in the clearing and watched the fading sun, his favourite thing to do. He was actually an unusually friendly tom, despite his appearance. He looked over his shoulder, then around camp, wondering if anyone was thinking thesame thing as he was: The sunset is extraordinary tonight.

"Aw, I'm sorry. My father died in a dog attack, my mother stayed in the Clan for a little while before moving on, a little while after I was apprenticed." She told him. She knew it wasn't nearly as bad, but she thought she'd share her own story.
