"I don't think I've heard that one!!" Fawnleap said, bursting with laughter. She hadn't laughed this hard in years! Of course, she reall didn't have many to talk to. As a majorly solitary feline, Fawnleap was not accustomed to the fact of having someone there to laugh with her when a good laugh was needed. Finally, managing to cap her laughter and pitiful thoughts, Fawnleap stood to stretch her legs before lying back down, her reddish-brown paws under her chest.
"Did you hear about what my sister had found?" Fawnleap asked, planning to await an answer. However, a good story is NOT best left untold. "So, last moon or so, my dear sister Silvermask decided to go and explore a bit, like she tends to do. However, when she ventured into some burrow, as she said, she said she'd seen a little baby fox! Scared her half to death, it did. After coming back to camp, she told Sandpuddle, Brackenpelt, and me. We all went out to see the burrow, which was more of a plain ol' hole, and what we found wasn't what she had said. In the hole was a little dog, smaller than Brackenpelt, that has enormous ears. Poor Silvermask was near death when she saw the thing! It just stood there, yapping out of control until Sandpuddle, Brackenpelt and I 'saved' it. If you ask Silvermask now, to this very day, she would run away shrieking!" Fawnleap explained, laughing at her sister's foolishness.
