Magnus trailed behind her. After watching her peculiar movements for a minute or two he spoke up. "Watcha doin'?" he asked curiously.
"Well..." began the Liepard who stepped infront of Wisp. "I want you to track them for me."
"What!? Why should I!?" growled Wisp.
"I'm your superior. Now hurry up before they get too far away."

Magnus did as he was told and hopped on her back. "I don't want to sound timid or anything but there are humans up in that area. What if they try to capture us?"
Wisp didn't budge. Superior or not; nobody ordered him around. He launched a Hyper Beam at the Liepard.
She dodged with both speed and grace. Always going down the difficult path. She released a powerful Thunder Wave, subduing him. "I said go." she ordered in a serious tone.
Reluctantly Wisp got up and did as he was told. "I won't forget this..."
The Liepard's smirk came back. I know you won't.

Magnus held on. Also if rumors are true then there's a legendary pokemon I have to worry about. He shook the thoughts out of his head.
Wisp trotted down the trail of the scolipede. His previous injuries prevented him from moving at full speed. He began sniffing the ground to follow the trail as it began to snow. I better get payed overtime for this...

"Hmm..." Magnus turned his attention to another bush. With a Leaf Blade he sliced some of the riper berries off. He was beginning to get full, but it didn't stop him from stuffing down another berry.
Wisp managed to crawl over a log as he continued. The snow was starting to overtake him. Only his head and tail were visible now as he trekked on.

"Well looks like we're finally here in New Bark Town." exclaimed Royce. He took some cautious steps off the plane that transported him here from Hoenn and began to look around. "This place reminds of Verdanturf Town." To any other person it looked like he was talking to himself. However if one looked closely enough they could make out the faint silhouette of a pokemon.
A Duskull became briefly visible. "Dusk!" he emmited in approval. The pokemon soon returned to his transparent state.
Royce smiled. His Duskull, Salem, was still nervous about going to a new region. In a swift motion Royce pulled out a town map from his jacket pocket. "Seems they have a pokemon lab nearby. Guess we can try to get more information there." he said with confidence in his voice.

Royce's eyes opened. The morning rays streamed down from above and onto his face. His Bisharp was standing only a few feet away, watching the area diligently. "I'm awake." he announced as he began to stretch his arms. "We're to go explore the uncharted areas today but let's eat breakfast first."
The Bisharp gave a slight nod and in one swift motion chopped down a few berries from the nearby bush.
Great...these again. Royce started eating a couple of berries. He was careful not to let the sour taste show on his face.

Royce walked back to the table where his pokemon were napping. In his bag were the entire stock of potions the store currently had as well as a few antidotes. He looked over his sleeping pokemon, Magnus and Galaxy. All tuckered out from a hard day of work I suppose.

The pokemon lab was within Royce's sight. "Well there it is. Professor Elm's infamous pokemon lab." he announced with eagerness in his voice. The closer he got to the lab the quicker his pace got. Arriving at the entrance Royce noticed that he had accidentally left his Duskull behind. He whipped around, spotting the minute outline of his Duskull as it floated closer. "C'mon Salem; you have to pick up the pace!" he complained.
The Duskull reappeared only to roll his single scarlet eye at him.
Royce ignored him, instead he turned his attention toward the lab's entrance. Radiating confidence he stepped inside.

The grovyle stuffed another berry in his mouth and swallowed this one whole. "I usually only find small amounts of food. When I find a plentiful supply of food like this I can become a bottomless pit." He picked up another berry and continued to gorge himself.
A breeze blew and sent a chill down Wisp's spine. A breeze? He instinctively sniffed the air. It smelled like he was downwind of the scolipede and grovyle. I found them. They were still far away, but at least they happened to be stationary. Also there happened to be a food source up there as well. Berries?

Royce seemed almost oblivious to their greeting. There was a look of awe over his face as he scanned over the lab's equipment. "Wow." he muttered silently.
The Duskull floated over to his trainer, giving a slight tug to his hair.
This was more than enough to snap Royce out of his trance. "Oh...um hi." he said sheepishly.

It took Royce awhile to get back into the zone, but sure enough his persona came back."Oh! The names Royce and I came here from Hoenn, Mossdeep City to be exact. Our local professor, Professor Birch, recommended that I come here. I just needed a pokedex and a few pokeballs before I officially started my journey." he responded.
The Duskull tugged on his trainer's hair once more.
Royce inclined his head toward the Duskull. "This guy here, his name is Salem."
In response the Duskull floated up onto his trainer's head; his scarlet eye focused on Ame and Wile.

Royce took the pokedex and pokeballs in hand and placed them within the confines of his jacket. "Thanks." he replied. His eagerness started to build up, causing him to bounce on his heels. He turned his attention to Salem and Ame. "Well I'd hate to break this little competition but we have places to be. C'mon Salem." he instructed.
The Duskull slowly but surely began to float backwards, his eye remained locked on Ame. It was clear he had no intention of ending this soon.
"I don't have time for your childish antics..." sighed Royce who stepped outside and took off with renewed energy.
This managed to do the trick. Salem broke eye contact and floated outside the building. He turned his head in both directions. "Dusk!" he shouted, managing to spot his trainer. Salem floated away in extreme haste.

Royce stood up with renewed strength, albeit a sour taste that lingered in his mouth. "Well let's go Void." he instructed walking out of the clearing.
The Bisharp loyally followed behind his trainer's feet.
The trees grew thicker has they made their way deeper into the jungle. Royce swatted some leaves aside before speaking."Wait...I have an idea. Leave a slash on the trees so we know how to get back just in case."
Doing as he was told the Bisharp started leaving large gashes in the trees, rocks, and other objects as they continued.
