★ ★ ★Emma’s frown curled into a smile at the first words, before returning to their original state as she watched the rest of the scene unfold. Oh… Well, she should have figured her manager wouldn’t be keen on letting Serena hang out with her, right? Yeah. Dammit, she probably should have found some better time to ask her out… Still, she forced a smile when taking the slip of paper. ”Right… See you later, then! Good luck with your show!” She sighed as she watched her leave, biting down softly on her lip once the door was closed. She really screwed that one up, didn’t she?

She wasn’t going to give up, through. Even if most of this encounter was a colossal failure, Emma had still gotten this girl’s number, something that usually only happens in her wildest dreams. So, despite how mortified she felt at that current moment, she rushed back to her friends and demanded they return the next night. They were shocked, but excited, and more importantly eager to oblige. “Did you meet someone? Was he cute! Oo, you met him backstage? He’ll definitely be here tomorrow then!” They even offered the trip as ‘their treat’, which was a relief, considering she had already blew through her budget for the week.

SORRY TO BE HEAVY, BUT HEAVY IS THE COST

★ ★ ★ Emma winced a bit when Serena made her way over to her. Well, not specifically because of that. She was ecstatic to know that she came out to see her, but her friend's reactions were enough to cause anyone to cringe. Their mouths were practically agape when they realized just which sexy dancer Emma had made the acquaintance of. She didn't let it get to her too much though- not when Serena came all this way just to see her. "Oh, hey! Did I really forget to tell you my name? Classic Emma. It's-". Both her and her friends were hitting themselves over that one. What kind of idiot introduces her like that? "Corey. Emma Corey. It's real nice to meet you..." She smiled a goofy, awe-struck smile, before pouting when she saw her little brother. "If he needs any help with his homework I can probably do a little bit! At least, tonight I can. I finished up all my homework before coming. And I love kids! I used to have three little sisters myself." She hardly noticed the past tense she used, but her friends picked up on it easy. Still, they stayed quiet, desperate to see how far Emma could get with someone (a girl, no less!) without any help.

SORRY TO BE HEAVY, BUT HEAVY IS THE COST

★ ★ ★ "Don't worry, little man: you are so not my type." She joked with a little laugh, scrunching up the younger boy's hair before he ran off. She rolled her eyes once he was gone. Sure, she'd grown up with all sisters, but she still knew how boyish boys could be at times. "I'd be happy to help him! I totally get why you'd want the extra help, considering how much of a prick your boss is." Emma huffed, before nodding at the next question. "Yep. That's Lucy, Kim, Max, and Alexis." She pointed at each girl as their name was called. "No offence, Emma's like super cool and stuff... But why are you talking to her? Like, instead of all these people?" One of her friends blinked. They figured Emma had done something to... Charm Serena, perhaps? They didn't know how, or why (wasn't emma straight?), but that's the only conclusion they could come to.

SORRY TO BE HEAVY BUT HEAVY IS THE COST

★ ★ ★ Emma's friends seemed shocked at Serena's statement, mouths glued shut at this point. They had no idea what to even say at this point, and were just kinda feeling awkward at this point. So wordlessly they excused themselves, leaving Emma, Serena, and Jacob alone. "Yeah, it's really no problem. I doubt his homework is much harder than my work anyways- really, it shouldn't take that long." The girl chuckled, smiling sweetly at the pair. That sweet smile turned into more of a flustered grin when the dancer grabbed her hand, causing her face to flush a bit as she was dragged through the seemingly endless sea of people. "Mhm, got it" The wink only caused the pink on her cheeks to change to a deep red, before turning to Jacob. "So, whatcha need help with?"

SORRY TO BE HEAVY, BUT HEAVY IS THE COST

★ ★ ★ Ugh, Katri was right- she had forgotten who she was dealing with. As nice or gentle as she seemed during conversation, she was still The Queen, who had tortured, back-and-regular-stabbed, and even murdered many people. What made her any different? Nothing. Nothing separated her from all those other lives Katri had ruined. How had Cindy gotten so caught up in her weird little fantasy? She was usually so much better than this! She wasn't top of her class for nothing! But with Katri... There was something just so off about her. Whenever Cindy was (lucky) unfortunate enough to look into Katri's eyes, she couldn't bring herself to see some evil criminal mastermind. All she could see was some stupid, cute teenager.

"Thank you. I have... A lot of people that absolutely do not need to know where I live." She gave a sigh of relief when she heard that Katri wouldn't share any of the information she had gathered on her. The way she said it caused her cheeks to flush a slight pink. As if I'd share you with anyone. If it had come from literally anyone else she would have slapped them (because she wasn't hers to share)... But the way Katri said it made her melt. On the inside, at least- she wouldn't let Katri know the affect she had on her.

At least, that was her plan until Katri asked her that particular question. Once she heard it her expression turned softer than she meant, trying to think of some sort of answer. She maybe could have thought of something if she had been given more time to think (as if she hadn't been wondering the exact same thing for two weeks), but being put on the spot like this wasn't helping her come up with an answer. If she had her wits about her, she would have told her some gruesome lie, that the police knew all about her fake and real identities. But it was too hard to stay sane with those cute, curious eyes studying her face like it was her period five forensics exam! Besides, she supposed Katri had a right to an answer, considering how weird her actions probably seemed. "Real talk? I honestly don't know. I mean, just imagine what turning you in could mean for me? I'd be a fucking god among men. Not that I have some kinda crazy god complex or anything like that-"

As she spoke, her hands were unconsciously moving along with her words- a clear sign of nervousness. "It'd just be nice to have that kinda power. Maybe I could get my dad a promotion, or be able to pay my sister's way through college, or something like that."She paused, trying to remember what point she spent so long trying to get at. "But I didn't tell anyone your name. And I won't. I guess... It's because you trusted me with it? I feel wrong selling someone out. Not that you've ever known that feeling." She sneered the last bit, eyes narrowing. "You'd probably sell my ass out if I told you the guy lookin' for me. I bet you'd do it in a heartbeat." Cindy sighed, now looking Katri in the eye. Though the warmth that could previously be found within the blue orbs were gone, they weren't entirely filled with rage. Rather, there was a small bit of terror within them. It seemed even talking about that mysterious stranger put her on edge.

TRUTH IS LIKE A LOADED GUN

★ ★ ★ "E-eh? Like her...? As in like, dating like?" She asked, eyes widening just a bit at the sudden question. Though, perhaps it was the bluntness of the question that caught her off guard. Trying to recover, she sat herself down on the ground next to Jacob, watching and listening as he got his supplies out. "So he really is that much of a hard-butt, huh... Good thing he already hates my guts." She sighed- but she didn't regret pissing off Zari the way she had. Otherwise he would have done something horrible... There mere thought of what that 'something' was sent a shiver down her spine. "I will. Thanks for the warning... Think there's any way I could get you two away from here? Not to imply she's stuck here- maybe she really likes working here?" She shrugged. Now that she thought about it, she had rushed into a lot of dangerous and uncomfortable situations without knowing anything about Serena. For all she knew, she was some slutty dancer with zero regard for her family, or some crazed serial killer. Oops.

SORRY TO BE HEAVY BUT HEAVY IS THE COST

★ ★ ★ Emma simply blinked as the boy spoke. Geez, was that even legal? Emma doubted it. She really thought fucked up stuff like that only happened in movies, or stupid crime dramas! Not in real life. "Jesus. I'm so sorry..." She debated on offering what money she had to help the two, only to realize she barely had enough money to support herself. Perhaps someone less noble than her would have stolen food, or money to live off- but not her. And since Emma only managed to snag some silly part-time job... Money was scarce. "Yeah, we can go ahead and get started now... Whatcha need help with, buddy?

SORRY TO BE HEAVY BUT HEAVY IS THE COST

★ ★ ★ Emma glanced at the scribbles, a thoughtful look coming upon her face. It'd been quite some time since she's done work like this... But after a couple minutes, it all started to come back to her. "Oh, this is really easy once you know how to do it! Here, you start by putting the two equations on top of each other..." She trailed off when she noticed Zari, and heard what he said to Serena. It took everything she had not to scream her head off at him- thankfully he was gone as soon as he came. Otherwise... It might have gotten ugly. "God, I hate him. Is there anything I can do to help? At all? I don't have a lot of money, but I'm sure I can sneak you into my dorm or something..."

SORRY TO BE HEAVY, BUT HEAVY IS THE COST

i plan on making a second cat but i have to go relatively soon so ill post her as soon as i can!

(question: can i only have 2 cats or 2 apprentices? bc if i can have 3 cats i might also make batpaw's dad because there are like. no toms lmao)

me and my friend made a warrior cats rp discord, and i wasn't sure if i was allowed to advertise it? and if so where would i do this? lmao sorry to ask such a dumb question i just wanna make sure i don't like. do something bad. thank you in advance!!

Just a quick q, but who are Batpaw and adderpaw's mentors? :0 and do poppyheart and sandfoot have apps? Idk if you wrote it smwhere or if I just missed it ;0 thank u !! I'll respond to the rp asap but I'm in school rn so it might b a bit.

Batpaw woke up a bit after the other apprentices, choosing to get a few more winks of sleep than most cats before padding into the camp. However, once she was up, it was as if she had been awake for hours. "Good morning everyone!" The young cat meowed loudly, making her way to the freshkill pile and grabbing a bite to eat. Batpaw was so ready to start training- more ready than she's really ever been for anything. Though, she would admit, things weren't looking super good for her at the moment. It would be hard to do much of anything until she got used to the whole 'no tail no balance' thing. She'd find some way to manage, though.

    --

Adderpaw was out of the den as soon as she woke up, which was honestly pretty early. By the time Batpaw showed her head outside, Adderpaw had already eaten and was resting comfortably in the nicest spot she could find. Being up early did have its perks- two of which were first pick of the food, and first pick of the resting spots.

    --

Poppyheart didn't sleep much last night- but she never slept well, so it's not like she wasn't used to it or anything. That in mind, she dragged herself from the warriors den when she first heard the rustling of other cats outside. "Good morning." She spoke to no one in particular, just to anyone who might be able to listen.

    --

Sandfoot had been up for a while, sitting peacefully by the warriors den with a mouse in his mouth.

    ((yeet class ended early

Batpaw quickly made her way to the other cats, eyes sparkling at the fact she was about to hear her leader speak. Plus, this would be one of her first times! When she was a kit, she’d always try to sneak out of the nursery to listen in on clan meetings- but now she was allowed to be there! Wild!

    --

Sandfoot hadn’t noticed any of Tigerpaw’s staring, somehow oblivious to it as he got himself comfortable under the rock. His tail swished gently back and forth, anxious to hear who would be chosen as deputy. He didn’t really want to be chosen, so he wasn’t nervous about that. Rather, he was worried some mousebrain would be chosen… Though there wasn’t any staggering idiot infestation... Still- he worried.

    --

“I bet I’ll get assigned the best mentor! Maybe even Snowstar…” Adderpaw snickered, oddly certain something like this would happen.

    --

Poppyheart sat herself down gently under the rock, face as calm and serene as ever.
