we could have a teensy bit of magic, like mythical creatures and possibly some people evolving with limited powers like elevated sight or something (but not like harry potter level if you know what i mean)
and so maybe the government is currently corrupted after an apocalyptic era -- we could say its like 30-40 years after a devastating earthquake/other natural disaster/slightly unnatural disaster? so people are all scrambling to build wealth and get power and all that and the current king is narcissistic and evil and greedy and etc etc. and lots of rebel groups are established, like 'anti-king crew' and 'pro-goodness' and all that (they obv have better names lmao)
so there could be like, 2-3 main rebel groups and maybe our characters each belong to a different (or same doesnt matter) and join together to fight the king's forces or something? allsoooo maybe one or both of them have developing primal superpowers (ability to alter physical world but only with like 3% of its actual potential or something). and AHH fun tell me what you think, i don't want to go too far with this if you don't like it lol
