Palefur padded into camp and dashed in fluid leaps to the gorse bush. As he stumbled through the prickly branches, he was swept by a feeling of utter exhaustion. Falling into his sleeping hollow, Palefur instantly fell into the anthracite abyss of sleep.

[shadow=black,left]CLIFFCLAN[/shadow]
Are you looking for a new clan to join? Do you like your current clan but want to participate in even more roleplay? Do you want to prove yourself to be a loyal warrior? Do you try to seek peace instead of war? Do you like picturesque mountain views? If you answered yes to any of these questions, CliffClan is right for you. Positions are open for warriors, apprentices, queens, kits, and elders. Even if you just wish to pay our territory a visit, we will welcome you (though we have ways of dealing with prey stealers). May your warrior ancestors go with you.

Boulderstar padded out of the cleft in the mountainside where he made his den. His golden fur shimmered in the early morning sunlight as he ambled towards the moonstream which flowed out of the crevice where he slept. He lapped the cool, refreshing water as his amber eyes scanned the pine-enclosed camp. "Good morning!" Firtooth mewed as she made her way out of the warrior's den, her stone gray pelt freshly groomed. Firtooth was Boulderstar's deputy and more importantly mate, meaning they had a very close relationship.
-
Maarifa lay outside his den as per norm, staring out on the harsh sun-scorched savanna. In the distance, he spotted a herd of wildebeest clambering across the endless expanse of plain in their annual migration. He panted in the sweltering heat as he gazed across the grassland.
-
Boulderstar waved his tail in farewell to Firtooth then spotted Softkit cowering behind Flamesoul. "You can come out, little one." the massive tom mewed, his deep voice resonating throughout the clearing with an amused edge. "I won't claw you."
-
"Well it's very nice to meet you, young kit. Do you plan on staying in CliffClan?" he queried. This little bundle of fur would make a great addition to the clan, but he didn't want to force the small kit to do something he didn't want to.
-
"It would be great for you to stay." the leader mewed warmly. He had always had an affection towards newcomers, which some people thought was his greatest weakness as a leader. For CliffClan, though, this was a massive advantage.
-
OOC: I got got one from donating, one from the Amusement Park, and the rest I bought with freshkill.
IC: "I am Boulderstar, leader of CliffClan." the large tom mewed, a humorous glint in his amber eyes.
-
Maarifa's tongue lolled out as he panted in the blistering heat of the noonday sun, laying half-asleep outside his small den. Beams of light shimmered through the leaves of an acacia and Maarifa could smell impala. Stale, he thought disappointingly. There was another scent on the breeze, though. He couldn't place it but he knew something was wrong.

Aspenkit's amber eyes flashed open and the golden tabby tomkit stifled a yawn. Milky sunlight filtered through the gnarled roots of an aged oak tree and for a moment Aspenkit wondered where he was. When he spotted Astrid still asleep by him he remembered. He had snuck out of the nursery last sunrise to go on an adventure and had stumbled into this strange hollow. Tottering into the clearing on his crooked paw, Aspenkit realized the cats that were here when he arrived were gone, replaced with a new set of unfamiliar faces. Shuffling onward, he slipped and fell splayed into the mud. Dumb paw! he thought before rising up. Continuing to teeter, he finally arrived, plastered with cold mud, at a group of strange cats. "Hello?" he mewed, unsure whether any cat would reply.
-
"My name is Aspenkit." the young kit greeted as cheerfully as he could before his paw gave out from under him again, splashing him into the chilly mud.
-
When Aspenkit rose to his paws again, he was expecting the other cats to sneer at his crippled paw like cats usually did. Instead, these cats seemed to take no notice.
-
When no further replies came, Aspenkit gave his golden chest fur a few licks of embarrassment. He felt as though these new cats were staring at him coldly, thinking, "What's wrong with you, stupid kit? Can't put one paw in front of another?"
-
OOC: RP buddy for Aspenkit?
IC: Aspenkit decided instead of waiting for these cats' scoffs he would look for a new cat to talk to. He felt bored with Astrid still asleep, and he didn't make this long journey just to sit around in a constant state of ennui. Shuffling uncomfortably across the clearing on his crooked forepaw, the golden tabby searched for another cat to speak with.
-
OOC: Okay, Bloodspill Loves PEWDIEPIE&CRY.
IC: Aspenkit tottered unsteadily across the hollow on his crooked paw until he spotted Chessa nestled in the roots of an oak. "Hello." the golden brown tabby mewed, "My name is Aspenkit."
-
"Why are you here?" the tom asked Chessa, curious rather than demanding. Thankfully, this new cat seemed not yet to have noticed his crippled paw.
-
Noticing Lilith's apparent glumness, Maarifa padded over. "Are you okay?" he asked, his eyes clouded with worry.
-
"I meant this clearing," Aspenkit meowed, slight embarrassment crossing his amber gaze.
-
"I escaped from my nursery to get here!" he mewed cheerfully before his forepaw gave out from under him and he landed splayed, yet again, in the cold mud.
