Spirit is a female gray wolf that looks like the picture above. She is muscular and lean and has long legs. She is small for her size, but makes up for it in strength and ability. Her eyes are a pale blue color, surrounded by a smoky grey. Silvery-grey fur lines her eyes and trails down onto her snout, and carries over behind her ears and against her body, too. The color finally fades away at the end of her tail, her underside, and her paws. The tip of her tail is white, her paws are white, and her belly is white. The tip of her ears are lined with brown, and they turn out, making them look bigger.
Personality: Spirit is feisty and has an attitude. She is convinced that she can live on her own, and any offered help to her is quickly turned down. She is a loner through and through, and she developed this after being left alone by her mother when she was young. She is strong-willed and she jumps to conclusions, not giving the other party a chance to speak before she acts. At the sound of loud noises or thunder, she will run away from the noise, meaning that she has the capability to cover a lot of ground during a thunderstorm. She runs away from her problems and fears and doesn't face them, which is sure to cause her some trouble in the future.
---Likes: running, hunting, rain
--- Dislikes: thunderstorms, loud noises, meeting new wolves
---Strengths: running, hunting, tracking, fighting, scaring wolves/people away
---Weaknesses: planning, thinking before she speaks, resisting the urge to fight upon meeting someone new, making new friends, being patient
History: Spirit was born in the forest in the winter by her mother, Kiya. She was born with two brothers in her litter, and had an older brother from a different litter. His name was Sky. A week after their birth, her two brothers died of the cold. Sky and Kiya worked as hard as they could to keep Spirit alive. Sky, being old enough to hunt, brought food to Kiya, who was getting weaker and weaker every day. Eventually, she abandoned them, her mind clouded over with grief from the loss of her two pups earlier. Spirit was just one moon old, and Sky was eight moons. He became her father-figure until she was eight moons old. He died in an effort to save her from a burning tree that was falling over after it got struck by lightning. This was how her fear of thunderstorms developed. She is now living as a loner, and using what her brother had taught her to take care of herself.
Roleplay Sample:
"Look," Sky whispered, nodding his head forward.
"What am I looking at?" Spirit whispered back. It was her first hunting session, and she was determined to make her brother proud. She had seen him hunt before. He was so graceful and strong. She wanted to be just like him.
"There's a young moose. It looks sick, or dying. You see it?" He nudged her face his directions so she could look through the undergrowth. She saw it. It was larger than anything she had ever seen before, with thick, brown fur and large hooves. It was bleeding from the side, and the smell it gave off made her hungry.
"Yeah, yeah, I see it." She was trembling with excitement. "So, are you gonna go catch it?"
Sky breathed out a laugh. "No, silly, we're going to catch it. Okay?"
Spirit's excitement quickly turned to fear and anxiousness. The moose was huge compared to her, and she had no idea how she was going to pull this off, even with her brother by her side. "O-okay," she squeaked.
"Don't be nervous," Sky said, nuzzling into her side affectionately. "You'll do great."
The pair crept up to the moose, side by side, and when Sky nodded his head, they flung themselves at it, snarling and clawing and killing it quickly. The moose gave up little fight; it was weak and tired. Before the siblings began to eat, they pulled large chunks off of it and buried them deep in the snow to save for later. Spirit's mouth was watering, and she was having trouble resisting the urge to dig right in. Finally, at Sky's approval, the two began to eat until they were stuffed. They hadn't eaten in days, and the moose had come right on time.
"I bet it was a gift from Kiya," Sky said after they had finished. They were resting side by side under a tree.
Spirit didn't reply. Instead, she curled up next to her brother and shut her eyes tight. Kiya, she thought. I may not have said it, but this gift can't be from you. You abandoned us and left us alone. I will not thank you for this moose, or for any good time in my life. And with that, she fell asleep.
Comments: I would like to get Spirit engaged in some type of wolf roleplay. This is my first character ever, and I don't have much experience, but I am excited to get started. I think it would be cool to have her run into a wolf pack and join, despite the fact that she is a loner. I would like her to make some friends, and at some point in the future, find a mate and have pups. If you are interested, please reply to this and let me know! Thanks!
