Shaking her head due to Ukyo's question interrupting her thoughts, she finally broke her gaze from Soul, turning her eyes to the tom. She hesitated for a second before a smile made it's way onto her maw, nodding.
"Sure, if you don't mind giving me one."

    OOC:
Kiddo, should we do the tour here, or make a separate thread for it? :P

Man, she was still far behind... Spotting Oblivion in front of her, she sped up a little more. She completely rid herself of any thoughts, as they would probably just distract her. Better said than done. Maka was a thinker, always thinking about something, no matter what. Thats just the kind of cat she is. Its very hard to change that... Come on Maka, get your head in the game! She growled to herself as her roleplayer stared singing the song and imagined boys in uniforms dancing around a court with basketballs and a perfectly choreographed dance scene.

Just a little more... Come on Maka! The little Tortie shouted to herself, paws still hard at work as they pounded against the path. In fact... This path was very straight now that she thought about it...
Gah! Not again! The she-cat mentally slapped herself for thinking again. This was the problem...
Just keep going, no thinking... no thinking.... No thinking....

She knew she was really far behind now, but she wouldn't let that get her down...
Continuing to run, she noticed the others near the finish line, but shook another one of her thoughts away as one creeped up on her. Maybe if she kept going, she cold at least get third place if anything...

Maka looked up from where she rested near an old tree. Emerald optics shined as she spotted the young apprentice and heard his request. Hm, this would be good, she didn't know exactly how good these people were at fighting yet, only having joined not too long ago. The tortie heaved herself to her paws, padding slowly over to the Meerkat, greeting him with a bright smile.
"I'll train with ya. i haven't been doing a lot of it lately, so this would be good practice."

Maka looked to the Deputy as he now was next to her. She gave him a confused look, narrowing one eye slightly as she tilted her head to the side. "Thats... um, Okay?" Was all she spoke, still a bit confused about the whole thing. She looked back to the leader, shaking her head.

NOW she was starting to catch up... Maka grinned as she noticed she was passing NPC after NPC. She knew all that thinking was the thing putting her down, and now she was starting to gain more speed. This would be over in no time! She knew Wagner had taken first as she looked ahead, but didn't let that put her off. As long as she placed, she was good.

The faster she went the harder she gasped for air. Maka, like was said before, was never good at sports. And after her two days of traveling, she was still tired. As she breathed in hardly, she looked up to see Vera right in front of her... Now was her chance, just a little more...
Her roleplayer also felt bad since she wasn't really on, but what can you do? Maybe if she won she could somehow make it up to Vera. But who knew? Maybe she wouldn't even win.
She admitted, she just needed the exercise anyway.

Yush. And i have the DVD. I saw it in Barnes and Noble last year and bought it for myself. x3 Birngs me back to my childhood where i would ONLY watch Miyazaki films. I think i've seen all of his work. But sadly, hes retiring now at the age of 73.

In all truth, Maka had never been in a spar before, so she had no idea...
Hesitating to crouch down in a battle position, she let out a nervous chuckle.
"Um, maybe you could explain them to me again?"
Man, she hated not knowing something, made her feel useless... She should read a book on sparing, that would get her ahead... If there was such a thing...

And with one more pawstep, Maka passed the she-cat, excitement clawing at her chest as her breathing started to decline more, yet she didn't let it stop her, she was in the zone! The tortie had never felt so competitive in her life! The gleeful feeling rushed through her like water down a waterfall, making her run even faster. Nearly there!

[align=center]Maka nodded at Oblivion's words, making sure to remember the rules exactly as he said them... Looks like a book wasn't needed after all... Darn, would have been a good excuse to crack one open, she needed a good read right now.
Turning to the tiger, she gave her a nod.
"Okay then, you ready?" She asked, hiding fear that suddenly overcame her as she eyed the beast. Woah, how was this going to work!? Surely even a light smack from the tigress would break the she-cat's spine! The tortie swallowed hard, though showed barely any fear at all, keeping it inside. T'was a habit of her's, maybe a bad one that could get her killed one day... But she couldn't help it.
