    Carefully and quietly came a rather small German Shepherd puppy, her big, round, liquid gold orbs bright. This was Skelanous and she was on the move for trouble or at least something to do. She flicked an ear, which just went back up. "I'm Skelanous!" She spoke, a smile forming which revealed her small but sharpened canines.

    INTRODUCTION;;
    Clash! The taxi jolts back suddenly as luggage falls from place, but the driver simply hands you the bags. His face holds an unpleasant, impatient expression as he waits for you to step outside.This man came off rude and unkindly, but he was the seldom taxi driver for this place, very close to it in fact.This is the father of this place.Anyway we've been saying the word "place" quite a lot. So what is this place exactly? Well at first glance, the building before you seems like a castle. You know, with the classic royal family.


    I know you're just dying to go inside, but why were you here? Were you the next prince or princess?Nah, it's not a castle; it's a school and it's also your new home. You begin to walk up the concrete steps to the building but your greeted by a familiar face, oh look someones here to take your luggage. He seems to be real gentlemen, but he certainly doesn't talk much. As you continue on your way to the entrance you take a quick glance around; a large forest surrounds the building and it seems to go on and on behind the academy. Suddenly, a large sound erupts from the large ancient complex, sounds which strangely make you feel welcome. The man opens up the door, and leads you in. Suddenly, you remember why he was so familiar; he's the person who gave you that strange.. symbol on the back of your neck. He was also the same person who picked you up from your last school. Before you can even get down the hallway, a girl about your age appears, as your gaze is immediately drawn to the mark covering her throat, shoulder, and seems to go to her back and downwards. Suddenly, your attention turns to her hands. She begins to snap, causing a strange blue flame to appear in one hand and a burning orange flame in the other. They cut on and off, but she clasps both hands together and creating a larger flame before it dies down. Once you get closer, you notice a wide, friendly smile planted onto her face.


    "Hello! Welcome to the House of Night.." She offers out a hand, and hesitantly, you shake it. The girl let out a laugh. "I suppose you saw that little scene... don't worry, I won't burn you." She looks around, seeing as almost everyone began to return back to their dorm. "The ride wasn't to bad, was it? I don't know what Daniel's problem is... He scares a lot of people.. Don't know what creeps people out the most; his fangs, which really need some help, or his silence..." You smile at this. You think you may grow to like this girl.Then it dawns on you...did she just say fangs? The girl must have seen your confusion and shock as she stares at you for a moment. "You don't know what you are? Hell, this school is for people like us!" You still seem confused when she gives a small sigh. "Hon, your a (insert vampire, werewolf, or hybrid here ). You know, fangs? Wolves? If your lucky, you might be a mix of both... I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Noell Katherine Mikkaelson and as the leader of the Dark Daughters, I am supposed to welcome the new students.."


    "There are three things you can be; a vampire, a werewolf, or a hybrid. Hybrids are pretty rare, and there are also different hybrids; there is the hybrid who can shift into a wolf. This hybrid still has the abilities of a vampire, and are a bit stronger, faster, and bigger than both a vampire and werewolf. On a full moon, this hybrid will face the want for blood that a vampire carries and they can't control themselves on a full moon, like a werewolf. Then, there's your regular hybrid, the one with the abilities of a vampire and werewolf. However, they don't shift." Noell explained with a frown. It may have seemed interesting for a moment, but it still ended up boring the hell out of the two of you. "Anyway, here's your keys and schedule, and the map to the school." And with that, the girl walked off, vanishing just like that.

    'RELIGION' & INFO OF THE ACADEMY;;
    - the vampires are not destroyed by the sunlight, but it does hurt to some. because of this, all classes are held at night.
    - the vampires, werewolves, and hybrids are all marked with a different symbol near the back of their neck. very rarely will their be a student or three with markings that seem to go from their throat, neck, shoulder, back, and waist. there are usually one of each species with this marking in particular.
    - the vampires at the academy need to drink small quantities of human blood, but they don't go attacking random humans for it. they get this blood from the very few humans at the academy who volunteer to donate blood. because the volunteering humans take small amounts of blood from themselves, the vampire students are not to drink directly from the human, as this may lead to a strong bond called 'imprinting'. when the bond is broken, it causes pain to both the vampire and human. this also applies to hybrids.
    - the 'god' of the supernatural students is Nyx. in order to communicate with Nyx, the three students with the rare marking will cast a circle, using the elements; air, fire, water, earth, and spirit.
    - cats are in a way, worshiped, so many roam around the large building. almost every student will find their cat. the cat would choose you instead of you choosing it.
    - as stated before, there are six students, one from each species, chosen to be a Dark Daughter and a Dark Son.

    - no arguing ooc; if you have a problem with someone, try to solve it because everyone should be capable of doing so.
    - semi-advanced/advanced only, please.
    - try not to chat/plot on this thread or the rp thread. if needed, i will supply both threads.
    - i can't tell you not to steal my idea, because i really just based this off of the house of night series ( kind of ), but don't steal anything in this thread. for example, this thread has werewolves & hybrids, which the series didn't have. i chose to do this, not you, so please, do not steal anything in this thread.
    - keep the 'love scenes' off the roleplay thread. honestly, take it to pm or just use fade.
    - i guess you can cuss.. just keep it to a minimum.

    THE CITY OUTSIDE OF 'THE WALL';;
    surrounding the school is a large wall which starts from the entrance and wraps around where the forest ends. it keeps the students inside the wall and on the property at all times. although it isn't encouraged, students may go out to the city to go do your normal teenager stuff. however, during full moons, all students are to remain inside the wall. anyone outside before the moon is full is locked out and stuck in the city unless they can manage to get over the wall.

    plot;; so, my character, malia hale, is a werewolf. she's the daughter of an alpha and next in line to become an alpha, herself. however, malia is taken by you ( an original vampire ), being held prisoner. at first, you are very cold, rude, and very hostile towards her. slowly, however, you begin to see something in her, blah, blah, blah; i think you know how it goes. anyway, all i ask is that you have your character be a male and you to be capable of posting at least six+ sentences. just post a pic of your character and jump in. don't wait for me to accept you.

    malia's liquid gold orbs fluttered open, the girl a bit groggy from her sleep. after a few moments, malia got herself together, taking in her surroundings. where was she? she was still in her pajamas, so was she at home? she went to get up, but found that she couldn't. malia was simply tied up. sighing, she rested her head against the wall. great way to spend a friday night; at a strange place, alone in a basement, and tied up. what could go wrong? grumbling, malia tapped her feet against the cold floor, her gaze hardening into a glare as she stared at the ceiling.

    appearance: ariel is a rather small feline, as she'll probably be smaller than your average cat for all of her life. she's painted a beautiful silver, yet darker stripes snake up and down her back, legs, and tail. traces of white line her chest, muzzle, and legs, as well. her fur is rather long and although she can't see, ariel always knows when her fur is messy, so she tends to keep her fur clean and presentable.
    her eyes are a lovely robin's egg blue, but at the same time, ariel is blind so she can't see out of her eyes. her sightless blue orbs are specked with cerulean and aztec blue flecks. her eyes seem to change color darken with her mood, so even though she will not be able to see an expression, the colors of her blind eyes surely will tell someone how she feels. her paw pads are a soft, raspberry pink, along with her nose. her fur is very soft, especially the fur on her neck as it can be softer than other places on her body.

    "i-uh.. i'm.. ariel."
    ari isn't big on speaking to stranger. in fact, she isn't big on speaking to anyone. when someone approaches her, the first thing she'll do is shrink back because she's so shy and she feels helpless due to her disability. when she does speak, she'll either start stuttering or she'll speak so quietly, it's real hard to hear. the only ones ariel will ever be able to speak to without stuttering or being quiet is the sibling she'd grow close to and her parents. however, her stuttering and quiet voice will fade when she grows older.


    "i j-just want to be left alone..."
    ariel likes her space; a lot. if she wants to be left alone, it's for a reason. it's very clear that she is anti-social, and most of the time, she'll be off alone, probably spending time with the pet she'll discover at a few moons. however, ari will be around, giving attempts to make friends, but it doesn't always work out. she keeps to herself most of the time and isn't one to brag about herself.


    "i'm alright..."
    when the kit is upset, it's actually pretty hard to figure it out because she tends to keep to herself. it's also hard to figure out because when she's sad, she acts the same when she's not sad; quiet, isolated, and solitary. like mentioned before, she drags her tail and keeps her head down; the way to tell she's upset is when she does this, but also, she avoids eye contact because her eyes tend to show everything.


    "i asked you to leave me alone!"
    although quiet and usually calm or kind, ariel does have a drawn line where it keeps her sane. when someone crosses that line for her, it's like unleashing a monster. ari will have a crazy look in her eyes, a dangerous look, at that. she will keep her immediately snap. her whole attitude has changed; she goes from quiet and shy to a cat who starts lashing out. if anyone ever gains the courage to look her in her sightless eyes, they will see that deep inside her, the real shy, kind, and timid she-cat is no longer home. half the reason for her anger is because she tends to bottle up her feelings and hold them inside.

The dog's attention went from the soft grey walls to the white and silver tiles on the floor. The red merle canine, also known as an australian shepherd, gave a faint growl as she was pulled into a room. A much larger room, at that. Many of the nurses and workers stood around, speaking as the limping shepherd sat down near one of the desks. Once one of the staff members attempted to approach her, a much clearer growl rose this time as she huddled under the desk.


    Noell knew this day too well. It's where she was adopted for the very first time and honestly, she came back here many times. When Noelle was a puppy, she was found wandering the parking lot of the animal shelter when she was pulled in. Surprisingly, Liberty was a happy puppy. She was adopted soon after and at first, everything was going well. One day, she had been playing with one of the kids and she gave a friendly little nip on the child's hand. That caused the parents to panic, and they took the puppy out one day and tossed her out of the window of their moving vehicle. Noelle landed on her nose, and had broken a few bones. She was alright within four months.


    She was soon adopted a year later, and this time, Noell tended to be a little hostile around other dogs. She'd start full blown fights, and would have to be torn away. One night, the female got into a fight with four other dogs, the dogs belonging to the neighbors. Of course, they started it, but Noell finished it, leaving multiple wounds on two dogs, blinding another, and nearly killing the last. She had even bit her owner. A judge put the dog on Death Row, but the animal shelter, yet again, saved her from death. Finally, she was adopted again, but was being abused, once again, and escaped. However, when running from her previous owner, Noell was hit by a car. She was rescued one last time and here she was, being scheduled for another adoption. Noell had been through hell and back.
