"Don't call me sir. It's too formal. Just Joesph is fine." He looked at the wings. "I hope you don't mind if I hide those wings of yours. Where we're going, they're not... Accepted."

"We're going to the surface. To earth. And since we only have to hide your wings from humans, a small bit of darkness can hide them. I swear, those humans are practically blind." With a wave of his hand, wisps of shadow flew up into Caroline's wings from the ground. A tingling sensation gave way to numbness. "There we go." He proceeded to rub his palm on his two horns and wings.

"Well, see, the thing is, I'm a banished. In fact, I really shouldn't be here right now, but hell's rules over me are... Looser. And now that you're with me, you're gonna have to go to the surface." He had intentionally avoided using the word 'Slave'. Oh, how he hated the word. "Any other questions?"

Joseph's eyebrows raise, surprised at Caroline's sudden regret. He chuckles slightly. "Ya know, if I ask you if you have any questions, you shouldn't be afraid to ask them. My mother was a demon, and my father an angel. When I was born, neither Hell nor Heaven wanted me, so they put me on the surface."

Joseph looked up into the sky, lost in thought. After a few moments, he responded. "My parents were executed the moment I was discovered. I don't remember them much... Well, at all, really, but I'm sure they wanted me like any other parent would." He grinned mischievously at Caroline. "As for the surface, the humans are fun to toy with. You'll see when you get there."

Joseph shrugged. "Don't be sorry, it wasn't your fault." He smiled as he heard Caroline's next set of words. "Well, yeah. They seem like cool people. Didn't let the rules stop them from being together... I want to be like them someday. Even if I don't know exactly what they were like." Joseph turned around, looking up. "Anything else, or are you ready to head off?"

Joseph pondered her request for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, but fair warning... I can't have you running. It'll put me in a lot of trouble. So if you try, you're gonna get punished." Small shadows flicker between his fingers as releases Caroline from her bonds. "Ready now?"

Joseph looked at her wrists and frowned for the first time since he'd bought Caroline. "Idiots." He mumbled to himself, then turned back around. "I'll fix you up when we get to the surface, okay?" At that, he walked forward.

Joseph didn't respond to her admittance. He walked towards a particularly dark corner, pressed his hand against the wall, and simply vanished.

Darkness washes over Caroline's vision, until she can see nor feel nor see nor hear nor smell anything. Soon, she finds herself waking up on a cold floor, Joseph standing and watching her. They seem to be in an alleyway. "Welcome to what humans call New York. Act like you're an everyday person, just walking. Don't talk to anyone. Don't attract attention. Follow me and don't get lost."

"Just be quiet and walk. Stay close to me." Joseph began walking forward, then looked back to Caroline.

Joseph sighed then walked into the mass of people. He lifted his wings, which were invisible to humans, as a beacon for Caroline to follow.

"Dang, that sucks. Well, when we get out of here, you guys can hang out with me until you get your memories back."

Entropy stumbled through the forest. Unfortunately, shadows provided no warmth. He was weak, cold and tired. Finally, he fell to unconsciousness at the mouth of a cave that a certain Tempest may or may not have been hiding in.

Eventually, Joseph walks up the steps leading to the door of a building. He looks at Caroline and waves for her to come up as well.

After a few moments, Entropy begins to stir slightly. Soon, he sits up wildly, eyes alert. "GAH!" He looks around, panicked.

"Yes. There's are many small houses inside this big building. I live in one of them. Let's go." He opened the door and stepped into the building, making his way to the elevators. "Now, be sure not to make very much noise. Plenty of other people live in this building, too." He presses the button.

"Calm down. This is called an elevator. As you can see, it brings you up and down. I, no, we live on a floor that's pretty high up." Eventually, the elevator stops with a ding, and the doors slide open. "This way." He leads Caroline to his home.
