I realized that (I think) we've all been in another FT roleplay together. I think it was one that I started actually.

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic *This won't go away because I tried to fix the gif problem but the text won't go here so this is irrelevant* She knew that the guild was going against the one that attacked the night that her best friend went missing. She just didn't expect him to be among them.
She was towards the back of the guild hall when the fighting began and everyone began running out, so by the time she had gotten outside, the rest of Fairy Tail was engaged in their own individual battles. Her gaze flickered quickly back and forth so that she could spot where sh coueld be of help to others but her eyes stopped on the male she hadn't seen for 6 years.
He had definitely matured, his hair had grown longer and his facial features have become more defined. Despite all of this, she recognized him instantly. However, by the way he was staring at her with confusion clearly showing in his eyes, all she had asked was, "Why don't you recognize me?"
'I mean, we've been best friends since we were little kids, so he should recognize me even if it has been 6 years.' she thought in disappointment, the battles around her now merely white noise as she is focused on her previously missing friend who is still showing no signs of recognition towards her. "How will you recognize me?" she muttered quietly, mainly asking herself that question.
A loud crash to her left snapped her back into focus as she remembered that the only reason that Kogi was standing before her was because the dark guild was attacking. It took her by surprise when he began to concentrate his magic around his hands, seemingly ready to attack her in a split second if she wasn't focused.
This isn't the reunion she expected; Kogi now being a member of a dark guild who is ready to kill her. Her expectation has been constructed through daydreams throughout the years where she and her friends in the guild would be on a mission and she would see him wandering around a town with both of his hands holding ice cream cones just as he always did when the two went out into down when they were children. She would run up to him, crash into him and hug him as hard as she could, causing the ice creams to fall to the floor and he would whine about his ice cream before he recognized her and joined the guild along with her, never to disappear again.
However, life doesn't go the way you expect it to, and this is the furthest from what she could have ever thought of. 'What do I do? I don't want to hurt him, but I also can't let him hurt Fairy Tail. I have a responsibility to protect my family.' The only way she thought of keeping him at bay while refraining from attacking was to simply speak with him. "Kogi." she whispered softly, taking a small step towards him with her hands in the air, showing that she did not want to be hostile. "Kogi, it's me, Kaiya. You remember right? You have to." She took another small step towards the man as she witnessed his magic fade away with no other movement being made. "What are you doing? What happened? I've been trying to find you..." she paused, her words caught in her throat for a moment, "I've tried for so long. I don't want to reunite like this." Silence only came from her old friend, causing the emotional pain that she felt at the moment worsen. "Please say something." -

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic Not my best but I tried
Kaiya could clearly see the internal struggle in his face as she stepped towards him, so she paused and listened to him stutter a bit before they were interrupted.
A figure dawning a cloak suddenly appeared behind Kogi, and it didn't take an expert to detect the fear in Kogi's face. The stranger had grabbed her friend harshly, causing Kaiya to grit her teeth, and prepare to use her magic if things went farther South.
'Something is wrong.' she thought to herself, the tears falling down the male's face confirming her suspicion. Her old friend was being emotionally tormented but all she could do was watch right now. That is, until the newcomer spoke to where she could hear. "My, what do we have here?...A fateful reunion?" were heard. 'How would he know?' Kaiya wondered, especially since she does not remember meeting someone with that voice in the past. 'Lucky guess?' she assumed.
The moment Kogi let out a sound of pain, Kaiya reacted and summoned her magic beneath the two before her. She had created a landmine below them so that if the man tried to escape with Kogi, an explosion would be set off, just enough to immobilize them instead of kill them.
"Release him!" she yelled in an intimidating tone. When the man let go, she would dispel her magic just long enough for Kogi to move away and then set it in place again. She was about to order the man again when he took her by surprise. "Pity. I would have loved to stay and chat Kaiya Mays."
'What?!' Kaiya instantly lost her focus, causing her magic to fade away from below the two she had trapped. 'How does he know who I am?!' Kaiya became lost in thought trying to figure out how this person would know her name but she was brought back to reality when she heard Kogi straining to speak. Her eyes focused on the spot in front of her, where Kogi and the stranger were quickly disappearing into thin air. 'Crap! Teleportation magic!' she realized before she sprinted forward quickly and reached out to try and stop their escape. The only thing she caught in her outstretched hand was the dust left flying in the air.
Within a few moments, the dark guild had retreated, leaving the shocked female speechless before she fell to her knees in front of the guild hall, the place that made her happy. He was here. He was in front of her. But now he is gone and she doesn't know if she will ever see her best friend again. She couldn't just go to the dark guild and get him because after 6 whole years, Fairy Tail has yet to figure out where they are based.
The fear in Kogi's eyes at the presence of the man who somehow knew her name returned to her thoughts. 'What has happened to him? What did they do to him?' she wondered. The girl was looking down at the floor, still on her knees, when she felt a hand rest on her shoulder. Kaiya didn't have to look at the person to know that it was her mother who found her sitting there in despair and disbelief. When the dark guild had attacked Magnolia 6 years ago, Kaiya and her parents found their house at the end of the battle between the guilds obliterated. All that was left was a few bricks and the foundation of the house. They were unable to salvage anything before the family was forced to evacuate the city. They all joined Fairy Tail to search for the son of their close family friends, who were killed right before their eyes.
"He was here." Kaiya whispered softly, unsure if her mother was able to hear her. "Kogi was here. They have him."

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic Kaiya's mother did hear what she whispered but said nothing in return. The only thing that she did was help her distressed daughter up off of the ground and take her inside the damaged guild hall. Kaiya didn't look at anyone around her as she walked slowly towards her table in the back of the guild hall where she was prior to the attack. Everyone else in the guild was conversing with each other about how their fights went while getting their injuries patched up. Kaiya was the only one without a scratch on her.
'Maybe if I attacked the man as soon as he grabbed Kogi, I could have saved him.' she told herself as she sat down, looking at everyone else who had actually engaged in battle. She felt useless. She could have done something but she didn't. Her best friend needed her but she stood there doing nothing to help him. While Kaiya was laying her head down on the table, going over what had just happened, her mother had gone to find her husband to tell him what has happened. The two parents glanced over to their daughter, witnessing her depressing state that overtook her usual bubbly and enthusiastic one.
As Kaiya was recalling earlier events, 3 main questions circulated around her head nonstop: 'Who was that man and how did he know me?', 'Why doesn't Kogi seem to remember me?', and 'What happened to him that made him look so scared?' She was determined to figure out these answers and get her friend back somehow.
While she was trying to figure out where to start her new mission of saving Kogi, a tap on her shoulder brought her brown eyes to one of her first friends when she had joined the guild, Vera. Vera knew who Kogi was and that Kaiya has been trying for 6 years to find him. The two have gone on countless missions together while also looking for the male along the way. Vera tucked a strand of her short white hair behind her ear before sighing and sitting next to her friend.
"I overheard your parents talking." she said softly before continuing. "So he's part of Myosotis, huh? I hate to say this but I don't think he'll want to join us if he's with them."
Kaiya shook her head and gave her friend some additional information on what she had seen. "He was but he seemed so scared. He looked like he didn't know who I am and once another member came up to him, he tensed and started to cry." She rested her head in her hands and sighed. "I don't know what to do. We don't know where they're located."
Vera suggested that the two go visit what was left of the guild library and research the dark guild known as Myosotis. They may not find much, but there may be something useful to them. Kaiya thought it was a good idea and followed quietly behind her friend as they walked to the door that led to the large guild library. The two entered and found that the area was unscathed, with the exception of the far right corner where one of the crash mages in the guild was fighting. A little while passed before the pair finally managed to find a book that contained the topic of upcoming dark guilds in recent years. Kaiya began to flip through the pages until she found the guild name that she was looking for and any information that was provided with it. The book was published only 2 years after the attack where Kogi went missing, meaning that there was information about that attack included.
=Myosotis=
A fairly new dark guild that has been attacking different areas around Fiore, most of those attacks in regions containing light guilds. The most notable attack was on Fairy Tail in the year XXXX, 2 years prior to the creation of this book. The guild launched a surprise attack upon Magnolia, the city that houses the infamous guild known as Fairy Tail. The entire city was set into turmoil as the members of Myosotis began getting impatient and unsatisfied with the amount of damage that they had done thus far. Members began to kill civilians while taking others as hostages, leading to the evacuation of remaining citizens just before the 2 guilds had their majorly destructive confrontation.
The reported (but unconfirmed) guild master with the alias "Datura", was heard talking to a group of members about using hostages for a plan that included the erasing of memories of those captured. The actual plan is not known as the civilian who reported this incident had fled the scene in fear of being caught.
(information continues on the next page)
Kaiya slammed the book closed as she took all of this new information in. She quickly prayed that the civilian who had provided that information was okay, as she was extremely grateful for the risk that they had taken. "Kogi was most likely taken as a hostage." she relayed to Vera, who was standing behind her and worrying about what had caused Kaiya to slam the book. She overlooked the name of the unconfirmed guild master because as the book said it was an unconfirmed statement that may have no meaning to anything. A guild master wouldn't partake in a fight most of the time anyways, so she ruled out that possibility of the cloaked figure's identity from earlier.
One of her questions had been answered, that being why Kogi did not remember her, but the other two were still in the air, which left Kaiya unsatisfied.

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic *Timeskip to the day after the attack and where she saw Kogi again*
It was around noon that Kaiya had walked into the guild hall, already half repaired courtesy of a time arc mage from Sabertooth. She walked in and gave a weak smile towards the man, who would seemingly leave in a little while. Her parents had arrived hours before she had, leaving her to revisit the memories of yesterday alone in her room, where she could scream in frustration freely.
As she walked further into the guild hall, Kaiya looked around for Vera, who was sitting at the bar. She went to go sit down next to her friend, who was sipping on a lemonade. She fell onto the barstool with a large sigh, causing Vera to look over and ask if she had any idea of what to do next. "Nope. I'm still in disbelief. He was here right? I'm not crazy?" she asked.
Vera shrugged because she had not seen anyone with the description she was given previously but she believed that Kaiya was right about what had happened.
Suddenly, the guild master, a woman in her mid-30's known as Lina stood above everybody on the second floor and quieted the guild quickly with a firm "Silence." Everyone looked up to her (both literally and figuratively) and listened to what she had to say. "We have received a message early this morning from an unknown sender. It is addressed to the entire guild however, they also wrote a name next to the Guild. Kaiya, please come here."
Kaiya was silent as everyone looked towards her in curiosity. She had a feeling in her gut that was telling her that this was not going to be a good thing and that she should just stay where she is, but she also had a feeling that it was somehow connected to her best friend that she had been searching for for so long. Slowly, she stole a sip of Vera's lemonade, pushed back the barstool, and began walking upstairs next to Lina. She looked over to the woman's hand and saw that indeed, her name was next to the words "Fairy Tail" in bold letters. The guild master looked to Kaiya, also with the suspicion that this had to do with the girl's friend.
When Kaiya and her parents had joined the guild, she had no problem telling everyone about her mission to find her friend, and everyone supported her. Of course, by now, everyone had to have known what happened yesterday so not only is the entire guild prepared to take down the dark guild that has been a threat for 6 years, but they are also gladly prepared to help Kaiya reunite with Kogi.
Lina silently handed the unopened letter to Kaiya, implying that she should be the one to read it aloud to the guild. Kaiya stared at the white envelope for a few moments before taking a deep breath and opening it. She began to read the letter calmly; "Fairy Tail, so it seems that you are still alive and kicking, huh? The attack yesterday was just a long time no see gift from all of us. Apparently in the past few years, your mages have gotten much stronger. A few of my mages felt overwhelmed, so I must say well done. However, it seems that you have also taken in a few members of my interest as well. I'd like to send my greetings to Kaiya Mays," said female began clutching the paper tightly as she continued to read on, "You may not know me, but boy do I know you. Your name was all the boy screamed when we found him, and I must say that it was hard to make him stop. But now he is a new person who doesn't need you or your friends. However, if you do want to see both him and possibly me once more before we obliterate your puny guild," Now, the tension in the guild hall was even more prevalent due to the threat against the guild, but Kaiya just barely managed to continue reading with her teeth grit together, "meet us at Huna Forest in 3 days time. You may bring a few friends, but be warned, we don't exactly plan on playing nice. Yours, Datura (Myosotis Guild Master)"
Kaiya had torn the letter by how hard she was clutching it as she read the last word on the page. Her gaze remained on the pieces she held in the air while Lina cleared her throat and said "Well, let's choose a group and get ready to go." -

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic *Timeskip to when the Fairy Tail group is approaching the rendezvous point* I don't really know what to say yet, so Lina is going to initiate their interaction
The tension that was present between the group of mages grew as they began to get closer to where they would encounter the Myosotis mages. There were 4 mages going to this confrontation, including Kaiya. Joining her was Vera, an S-class Earth mage named Jin (HA ITS NOT 4 LETTERS) and the Guild Master herself.
"Now, when we see them, stay where you are. We need to stay civil for as long as possible. These are dangerous mages and we don't know what they are planning." Lina stated as the group was around the corner from their destination. "What about that kid that Kaiya wants to help?" Jin asks. "We will deal with him as he is a hostile. We are not sure if he is truly on their side so we have to wait it out." The calm guild master answered. "Meaning that if it comes to it, we will attack him if he attacks us." she said, directing her words towards the quiet brunette walking behind her.
When the 4 had arrived at the spot, they discovered that they had been beaten there. In fact, the group from Myosotis (I didn't have to look at it that time) was standing in a line, facing the direction that the Fairies had come from, as if they knew that they had arrived. As promised, Kogi was present in this meeting. Kaiya subtly pointed out to her guildmates who he was, so they knew who to look out for. Vera saw the emotional pain that was showing in her friend's eyes as she stared at the boy across from them. She grabbed Kaiya's hand quietly to show that she had support behind her.
Lina cleared her throat as she walked forward and stood in front of the three other mages who were accompanying her. "I am Lina Kingley, Guild Master of Fairy Tail. I do not tolerate any threats towards my guild and I would advise you to stand down with whatever you are planning right now. Besides, who won the past 2 times we've faced each other?" she said in her authoritative tone. 'By now, they should know that we are not easy to beat. They wouldn't offer to talk with us without having a reason behind it, but just what is it?'
-
So when are we planning on starting? We do have enough mages right?
-

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic Kaiya looked over to her guild master, wondering what Datura meant by "that". She and the two other mages with Lina all waited and said nothing, wondering what she would say about whatever he wanted.
Lina's eyebrows furrowed at the mysterious guild master's words. 'How would he know about 'that'?! We made sure that no one ever knew about it!' "Why in Earthland would I give 'that' to you? I'm not stupid! A dark guild would never have a good use for it, nonetheless your guild!" Lina was appalled at the fact that the Myosotis guild master had asked that of her. However, she quickly realized the mistake she had made, looking left and right to her guild mates who were looking at her in confusion. 'Shit! I just practically announced that I have it! How do I fix this?' "Um...I mean, if it was real anyways..." Lina's demeanor visibly dampened as she recognized her slip up. Hopefully Myosotis wouldn't notice. "If it was real and I did have it, what would you give me...us?" She asked, trying to reconcile for her mistake.
While Lina was mentally screaming at herself for being so dumb and letting 'that' slip, Kaiya continued to stare at Kogi, whose face showed little emotion, confusing her. He stared straight forward, hands behind his back like an obedient subordinate, but she could have sworn that drops of blood were dripping from the hands he was hiding behind him. 'Is he okay?' She wondered. She instinctively took a step forward as she used to do whenever her friend injured himself, but paused once Vera called out her name, curious as to what she was doing.
Kaiya quickly moved back to where she was originally, standing straight with an embarrassed blush present on her face. These actions would definitely influence the enemy's view of her, especially when it came to Kogi and his wellbeing. 'See him as a hostile! He's not your best friend right now! Just stand quietly next to Lina and listen to her orders.' Kaiya knew that she had to tone it down on caring so much for Kogi right now, but it was the hardest thing to do at this moment, especially because she was just reunited with the boy she hadn't been able to find in years and now he's on the enemy team. -
Alright, good luck!
-

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic 'What!?' Kaiya was taken back by Datura's terms. 'They're keeping Kogi with them?' She was anxious as to what Lina would say. On one hand, everyone knew how important Kogi was in Kaiya's eyes and the guild promised that they would help her however they could, but on the other, the whole guild would be in jeopardy if Lina refused.
The brunette looked at the opposing guild master, whose cloak had shifted a bit so that the light showed the bottom half of his face. He was smiling. It wasn't a kind smile that asked for a truce between the two guilds, but one that showed sinister satisfaction, as if he already expected how she would react.
'Obviously he has something against me too.' she noticed, taking note at how the man had his body slightly turned towards her instead of her guild master. Instead of giving the man the satisfaction of seeing her try to fight back and betraying her guild, she went to Lina, gently tapped her shoulder, and once she got her attention, nodded without a word.
Lina wouldn't say it aloud at the moment, but she found Kaiya's quick decision to be admirable. Kaiya was sticking to her promise as a Fairy Tail mage and keeping her family safe from harm. However, the decision was ultimately Lina's to make. Lina made the mistake of confirming 'that' being in her possession, but that didn't mean that she would give it up. Generations of Guild Masters from Fairy Tail have been guarded 'it' without a problem, and she certainly did not want to be the one who messed up. But still, even if the guild had won the previous battles against Myosotis, that didn't mean that they would definitely win again.
Before the group had left the guild to meet with the members of Myosotis, Vera and Kaiya had reported to the Guild Master about what they had discovered from the book in the library. Finding this as an important thing to know about and potentially research, Lina proceeded to read the article aloud to the rest of the guild. As the 4 mages are at the meeting, the rest of the guild is supposed to be trying their best to research more about the guild they are going up against using whatever resource they can find.
Some members even went to the trouble of trying to find the mage who heard the information about erasing memories, just in case there was any undisclosed information. Whatever has been found will be expressed at the return of the Guild Master.
So of course, Lina wasn't being so arrogant as to think that Fairy Tail had a definite win on their hands when she stated the fact that they had won the past 2 times, she was merely trying to lower the confidence of the Myosotis members, who had been the ones to initiate battle in the past, even if just a bit.
Despite Kaiya's decision to risk the thing that she didn't even know about just to protect her guild, Lina cleared her throat once more to give her own answer to Datura.
Her mages stood behind her, expecting a peaceful separation as they would go back to the guild and get whatever 'that' was, but they were surprised when their Guild Master held her hands behind her back, as if she was strolling along thinking about life and then gave them the signal that they should be prepared to be on the offensive. This small signal went unnoticed by the other 4 who were standing in front of them all, Hachi and Mana not fully focused as they are quietly speaking to each other, uninterested in the deal at the moment.
"You really think I am stupid don't you? I may be a young guild master compared to others, but I am not as naive as most people think." Lina spoke confidently. "There is no way to simply forget about you and your actions towards my guild. I will protect both 'it' and my family with my life, and you can expect nothing less than that."
Vera, Kaiya and Jin were all prepared for a battle any moment now, especially now that Lina had voiced her decision. Discreetly, Kaiya had set exploding seals around the Myosotis mages that would be set off if the mages made contact with them.
-

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic When they fight at this location, can we make it so that they all eventually go back to their guilds separately? I think that the two guilds should have time to prepare and Fairy Tail could take that time to relay any information that they've learned. Also, let's make this a short fight like Lina acknowledges
"...Tch...did anyone else notice how that guy talked for the guild master? He annoys me." Vera noted while the Myosotis mages were conversing among themselves in the wall of ice. "I wanna deal with him." Vera was a character who quickly determined her thoughts on other people, so when it comes to first impressions, there is no second chance with the girl. Especially when it came to enemies.
"Indeed, I did notice. Perhaps the guild master is concerned about using his voice too much to the point where we recognize it and figure out who he is." Jin quickly suggested, speaking properly as per usual. "I also noticed that Kaiya's friend is staring at us."
Kaiya quickly restated to Jin what Kogi's name was as she refocused her gaze from the conversing mages to Kogi, gazing over to their group with a face of curiosity rather than hostility. "Lina," she began, turning towards her Guild Master, "what is 'that'? You and Datura seemed very interested in whatever 'it' is."
Lina sighed and turned her gaze to her side, where Kaiya was now standing. "It is nothing you guys need to worry about." the woman reassured. 'For now at least'. "What we need to worry about right now is the oncoming war that is resulting from this meeting. We need to regroup with the guild and see if they have learned anything that could help us." The three subordinate mages nodded and made defensive stances as the ice wall around the enemy began to disappear. They all seemed calm at the moment, but things could change in an instant.
The landmine that Kaiya had placed was still behind the group, ready to be set off if they made contact with it, which is exactly what would happen as soon as they began to turn around and walk away. Lina knew this very well, and did nothing to have Kaiya get rid of it. If a small fight occurred, perhaps the Fairy Tail mages could get a quick feel of what they were going up against. However, this also came with the disadvantage of having their magics being tested as well, but if these people were the ones fighting this time, it would be better than going in blind. 'I've never seen the boy before but the girl I have while she did not use her magic. If we learn what they specialize in, we can find a mage in the guild to match their abilities.' Lina reasoned, prepared to defend herself as well.
As expected, the Datura and Kogi decided to start moving, which created an explosion that only set off one of the many unseen seals surrounding the group, meaning if another wrong step was made, another one would go off. -

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic An explosion is only supposed to occur in a few seconds. But the one that Kaiya was witnessing seemed to take years to finish. The enemy guild master was supposed to be the one who was most impacted by the blast, but time seemed to slow down when Kogi pulled back the man in an act of protection. When the boy was launched past the four mages from Fairy Tail was when time seemed to return to normal.
Kaiya cringed at the screams coming from Kogi, her heart breaking in half when it dawned on her that it was her fault that this was happening. She could do nothing but stare at the mage on the floor, screaming and bleeding profusely. 'This wasn't supposed to happen! He was farther away from it! He should have just been stunned!' She screamed in her mind, unable to use her voice. Just as when she had first seen Kogi for the first time in years, questions were flying around her head. 'Why won't he stop screaming?, Why did he protect the Guild Master if he looked so scared of him before?, What do I do now?' The brunette stood in place, a headache forming from all of the questions that she is asking herself. He was her best friend, and he had done nothing to her that would justify his injuries right now.
Kaiya's guild mates were also in shock, but had to keep their guards up because they didn't know just how the enemy would react to this, considering that Kogi was most likely a hostage in the first place. To their surprise, the 3 standing mages in front of them seemed infuriated, to the point that the one seemingly named "Mana" and Hachi proceeded to send an attack towards them. Lina noticed how Kaiya was not moving, most likely lost in her thoughts again, unaware of the ice covered projectiles coming toward them. The guild master had moved to push the unaware brunette out of the way, but in the process, her left arm, in which she was using to shield herself was hit by the projectiles. Luckily, she had managed to protect Kaiya and catch her attention.
The small amount of time that he had to react allowed Jin to create a pillar in front of himself and Vera, the shields just barely protecting the two. He heard the grunt from Lina, and quickly spotted the hole in her arm. 'They will have to pay for that'. The earth mage thought, angered by the idea of someone causing harm to not only his guild master, but his family member.
After all of the ice covered pebbles flew by, Jin lowered the pillars and proceeded to use the spell 'Rock Avalanche', launching boulders also taken from the blast towards the two mages who had just attacked them. As he did this, Jin saw Datura disappear from his peripheral vision, only to hear his threatening tone behind them. As quickly as he was behind them, he was back in front, the injured mage in his custody. Before anything else could be said or done, the Fairy Tail mages were left alone in the middle of the forest, aware of the fact that a war had just begun. -

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic Dang in that post they actually seemed like kind and caring people. It threw me off a bit.
Lina hissed at the feeling of the makeshift tourniquet being tied around her arm. Moments after the Myosotis mages teleported away, the Guild Master let go of Kaiya and held her injured arm, prepared to deal with the pain all the way back to the guild hall. However, Jin was adamant on taking care of the woman's injury. He asked Kaiya for one of her blue hair ribbons, which she handed over quickly, also worried for the well being of Lina. So after a few minutes of sitting down and readjusting the tightness of the ribbon, the four mages set off to return to the guild.
*timeskip to when they return back to the guild*
When the group arrived, they immediately went to find Gwen, the healing mage in the guild. Lina went to go fix up her arm, which was still throbbing in pain. Gwen took off the ribbon wrapped around her arm, and began to examine the wound. With just a small touch, Lina jumped in pain. Before using her magic, Gwen decided to pick out the debris that remained in her arm. Apparently, the rock and ice shattered, with a few pieces remaining inside of the injury. Using tweezers to pull them out did not help with the pain. It just caused a stinging and burning sensation that just wouldn't end. How many shattered pieces were in her arm? To her relief, Gwen had finally finished with the manual labor, now she would use her magic. Her hands hovered over the hole in Lina's arm, emitting a warm glow, as the wound slowly started to close up. The guild master let out a deep sigh of relief once she was finished being healed, although there was a bruise where the original hole was. Now that the pain was gone, Lina began to ask the guild members around her about what they had found out.
Jin travelled around the guild, warning everyone else who wasn't already talking to Lina about research about the oncoming war between guilds. He suggested that everyone prepare for orders from Lina. Meanwhile, Kaiya was sat at her usual table in the back of the guild, with her head resting in her hands, an action that is becoming more common for her. Vera was standing next to the table, watching her depressed friend. Vera knew exactly what Kaiya was thinking about. Kogi. She absolutely hated seeing her close friend this way but she also had to put her foot down and make Kaiya focus on what else is important. "You saw it yourself, Kaiya." Vera said, "He shows loyalty to that guild. It would be almost impossible to try to win his trust!" As she finished speaking, her voice began to rise, trying to get through to her friend. What else was there to really say? Kogi was clearly protective over the mages that were with him, but even so, she had to figure out how to keep her promise to Kaiya about helping Kogi. That didn't mean that she should do it now, but at one point.
The brunette closed her fists and slammed them down harshly on the table, catching the attention of a few surrounding guild members. "Don't you think I know that!? I made it worse by almost killing him!" she snapped, tears quickly streaming down her face. Her voice began to become strained, words coming out a bit shaky towards the end of her exclamation. "I didn't mean to hurt him...he was just supposed to be stunned." Now it began to be harder to breathe by how the tears just kept coming. "He wouldn't stop screaming...he sounded like he was dying...it made me feel like that..." she managed to choke out. "How would he ever trust me now?" was the last thing she was able to say before she broke down in tears completely, unable to speak at all. The white haired female beside her hated seeing her friend this upset about what she had done, but right now wasn't the time to overwhelm herself in grief. Instead, they needed to prepare for the battle that was to come. Vera slammed her hand down on the table, startling Kaiya. "Kaiya, you know I care about you and want to help with Kogi, but right now, you need to forget about him. We need to focus on protecting the guild." Kaiya sniffed and slowed down her crying to listen to what Vera had to say. "Like Lina said, he's the enemy and we need to treat him as one." If she kept crying over any harm done to Kogi, there could be an opportunity for that harm to be inflicted on someone else if not herself.
The serious look that was upon Vera's face as she spoke caused Kaiya to realize that she was right. As a Fairy Tail mage, protecting the guild was the first priority and if they were lucky, they could help Kogi. Kaiya firmly nodded, wiping her tears from her eyes as she stood up from her seat. After she had completely calmed down, the two went over to Lina, eagerly asking if there was any new information about Myosotis. With a solemn face, the woman replied by saying "Unfortunately not. All we know is that they're doing something with the memories of hostages and they're planning to use that against us." She straightened up and added "But what we are going to do is prepare for an attack. The more inexperienced mages will take the time to practice their magic some more while the rest are going to create defenses around the town and the guild."
Everyone began to do as they were told, with Kaiya being in the defense team. In that team, the guild's two rune mages came along and set up a defensive barrier along the outside of the town, which would keep mages from escaping from the inside, including teleportation mages. The problem was, because no one knew when they would be attacked, the runes had to be reset every 18 hours. Each rune mage would be stationed on each side of the city with a group of mages watching over them and making sure that they were undisturbed. They also had created a defense barrier around Kardia Cathedral that would protect from all kinds of magic attacks, preventing its destruction yet again. Another group of S-class mages were ordered to quickly evacuate the city, not willing to take any more risks of hostages being taken. Finally, the mages set up traps throughout the city, including traps with Kaiya's landmines, which would create explosions leading to holes already dug deep under the ground by some of the plant and earth mages, trapping whatever unlucky mages set them off in those areas.FIXED

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic I think that maybe the reason my muse was gone is because I kind of expected you to start the battle.Around 3 days had passed since the confrontation between the two guilds. Everyone was on edge, especially the brunette bomb mage sitting next to her friend Vera, talking about how they have witnessed the more inexperienced mages in the guild improved at an impressive pace in their eyes.
*I've had this feeling that the three of them would make a good team, so I decided to make it a thing.
After setting up their defense around the city, Lina had asked all of the mages involved to spar with those who needed it. Kaiya had sparred with a 13 year old air mage named Bree, who had recently been allowed to go on missions with her twin brother. Kaiya had never really talked to the younger girl, but now she felt that they should talk more when the battle was over. She was impressed as the girl quickly came up with a plan to effectively fight against her heat based magic. As Kaiya would throw forward balls of heat towards Bree, the latter would deflect her attacks with her own gusts of wind, softening the impact. If the passionate air mage kept up with training her skills, perhaps in time, she could nullify the attacks that were aimed towards her completely.
As Kaiya and Vera were talking, one of the rune mages on the Eastern side of the city contacted the guild via the telepathy mage that was stationed in the center of the city, creating the perfect amount of distance between them, the guild, and specific areas of the city so that everyone could effectively communicate with each other. She was speaking quickly, not exactly frantic but not entirely calm either. ''Guys, I see a large crowd of people approaching the city from the East side."She spoke, causing everyone in the guild to shoot up out of their seats and hurry to their assigned sections of the city, which had been pre-planned the day of the meeting. Lina and some S-class mages who had been in the guild for a long time had stayed back at the guild to protect 'that'. If needed, Lina could telepathically contact backup to help during the battle.
Kaiya, Vera, and Jin* had reported to their station located on the West side of the city, where their focus was extremely important, just in case even more mages approached from that direction instead. Immediately after the three had arrived to their station, an explosion had been heard (approximately around the area where Kardia Catherdral was), the sound reverberating throughout the city, alerting all present mages that the battle has begun.
Kaiya took a deep breath in and closed her eyes, remembering what both Vera and Lina had told her, and promptly exhaled, her brown eyes opening to display pure determination. "Let's do this." -
alright.

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic A sizzling sound was heard right next to Kaiya minutes after the initial explosion had been heard. She quickly looked towards the direction where the sound came from, her eyes landing on a tall teenage boy with lightning sparking around him. "Are you just going to stand there?" He asked Kaiya as she was evaluating the situation. 'Lightning magic, huh?' she observed. 'This will be interesting. 2 heat based magics facing each other.' Kaiya summoned an orb of heat, that explodes on impact when thrown. By now, both Vera and Jin were a distance away fighting with a crash mage that had arrived, allowing her to attack. She threw the orb towards the man, who dodged quickly and shot electricity her way. He was fast, fitting for a lightning mage, but that added some difficulty to the battle.
Kaiya grit her teeth, trying to quickly come up with a plan to get the upper hand. If she simply threw attacks towards him, he would just move out of the way. 'Maybe if I plant some landmines, he won't notice and that can stop him.' Whenever she placed down land mines, they were just barely visible, people only knew they were there if they were staring intensely at the ground. The mage began to attack her again, causing her to move around as he continued to throw lightning at her. As she moved, appearing to be entirely defensive, she discreetly created some mines. When the brunnete had decided that she had made enough, she stood at a position where her enemy would be moving towards. As expected, he had set off one of the mines, not stepping directly on top, but activating it so that he would be stunned. As the smoke cleared, Kaiya saw that the mage was on the floor unconscious from that explosion. "Wow, for acting so confident in his abilities, he sure is frail when it comes to enduring attacks." she muttered to herself with a scoff. Behind her, Jin and Vera were still battling with the crash mage, so after putting some more (less harmful) landmines around the man just in case he woke up, she ran over to help the two.
(Meanwhile at the guild...)
Lina stood in the center of the guild hall, staring down the intruders. God, how she hated hearing that man speak. The way he spoke in small bits annoyed her, especially when he decided to call her Madam. It made her feel older than she was and she disliked it. Finally, Datura had finished his sentence, but the boy that was with him began using his magic, alerting Lina that once more, Kogi would deal with the problem. She had prepared two chains to fight against the puppet (a n g s t ) that Datura had created. The woman knew just how important this boy was to the war, especially because he was attached to Datura like a magnet, obviously showing that he served a purpose. That meant that he could not be ignored. Clearly, that wasn't going to be a problem, seeing how he has the intent of a serious battle in his eyes.
Kogi had initiated an attack, which Lina had avoided easily. She was the guild master after all, she couldn't just be taken down that fast. She had instantly wrapped one of the two chains around Kogi's left leg, causing him to fall backwards and slam his head on the floor. With the other chain that she had summoned, the grappling hook at the end grabbing on to the collar of his shirt, Lina picked him up and threw him into Datura, who was still simply standing and watching. Both of them fell to the ground, allowing Lina to speak. "You're going to have to try a lot harder if you even want to see a chance at winning this war." She declared, watching the duo slowly rise from the floor. Kogi's head was now bleeding, but there was no sign of him backing down from the fight just yet. -

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic *A memory mage in the guild: Kind of like Mest/Doranbolt
Kaiya was frozen in shock at the sight of the woman in front of her. "M-Ms. Reisa" she stuttered, her voice quivering. This couldn't be real. Just a few seconds ago, she was trying to melt the ice around her with her magic but now she was looking into the eyes of her second mother, the woman who was killed before her, frantically looking for her son. "This isn't possible." she reasoned, her thoughts being torn away from the current battle and wondering how Reisa was in front of her. The twins maniacal laughter brought the brunette's attention towards them, alerting her that this phenomenon was their doing. "Well of course it's possible," the two said in unison, still holding each other's hands, "we brought this woman back from the dead." Kaiya had heard of this once before in one of the stories that an old guild master who had passed away shortly after Kaiya joined told the guild. "Historia of the Dead..." she mumbled, her eyes still widened in disbelief. Apparently, during the time of the guild with members such as Titania and Salamander, an enemy had used this magic against one of the members. It is said that the mage's father was brought back to life after so many years, being controlled by a demon. But that time it was a curse, wasn't it? The story said that the only way to bring the dead back to death (irony considering the fc) was to kill the one who had brought them back. But it's against the morals of Fairy Tail to kill someone, even if they are an enemy!
Kaiya looked back to the woman and noticed that she didn't seem to be showing any form of hostility. 'Why would they summon her then? What could they possibly use her for?' The frantic voice that she had last heard six years ago brought her attention back to reality again. "Where's Kogi? Did you find him? Is he alright?" It was as if someone stabbed her heart as she heard those questions. 'She doesn't know...that he's in a dark guild.' Kaiya remembered, unsure of what to say to Reisa. Tears began flowing down her cheeks as the woman in front of her kept waiting for an answer, hope shining in her eyes. She couldn't speak or move at all. Kogi was her enemy now and she has to fight with him, but that couldn't simply be said to his own mother. She tried as hard as she could to answer, but the emotions were too overwhelming for her. Tears began to blur her vision, the events occurring outside of her icy containment blending together as she tried to contain herself.
Vera and Jin had also managed to incapacitate their opponent after a long period of fighting. Knowing that Kaiya was in the middle of a confrontation a distance away from where they were now, they went to help her. What they expected was to see 2 people, but now they saw 5. Their teammate was now encased in glass, which both of them quickly recognized to be the work of Hachi, recognizing Mana and knowing that she was nearby. The sight of Kaiya breaking down inside of the ice created a sense of urgency, which was not present before because they knew she was capable of fighting a mage. The two were still approaching the scene quietly, trying not to alert the enemy just yet. Jin was able to levitate some nearby rocks leftover from their fight with the crash mage and launched them towards the ice wall. He had succeeded, but Kaiya had not moved. Vera knew that the woman who was looking to Kaiya had a big part in what was happening to her friend. She quickly requiped a rifle and shot the woman in the leg so that she couldn't escape. Unfortunately, that only seemed to make things worse, as Kaiya managed to scream and run towards the injured woman. Everyone around was alerted by now, so Jin and Vera ran the rest of the way to try to get to Kaiya and the enemies. Jin had targeted Mana, who he was not surprised to see again while Vera had gone to deal with the twins and Kaiya.
Kaiya knew that she had failed to keep her mind off of Kogi the second she was unable to speak. She was only causing trouble for her guild members, especially her team, who had to deal with her problems because of her primary focus on helping her best friend. She had run towards Reisa, who was also screaming due to the gunshot wound in her leg. Kaiya was trying her best to care for Kogi's mother, unsure of what else she could due at the moment.
(Meanwhile at the guild)
Lina felt a searing pain on her back as soon as Kogi had landed his attack. He had only attacked her twice, but she was certain that he didn't just want to incapacitate her, this boy was out for blood. When she had an opening, the guild master had wrapped her chains around his neck, and held him in place by holding her hands out to her sides, creating tension on the chains. "I wouldn't try to move if I were you," she advised him. "The more you move, the tighter they get, and I don't want to kill you. It is my duty as a guild master and a friend." Lina's eyes were drawn to the blood streaming down the male's face again, causing her to remember a helpful piece of information.
"Noya!*" Lina practically screamed through the telapathic connection that was available to all of the guild members. "I need you at the guild right now! I may have just found a way to turn the situation in our favor!" 'How the hell didn't I think of this before!?' Lina mentally questioned herself in frustration. 'If Kogi was brainwashed like the book said, maybe Noya can help trigger some memories!' Noya may not have the capability to return all memories, but hopefully some that can help change him back. Now all that she had to do was wait with Kogi and hope that the members stationed in the basement would be able to protect 'that' from Datura.

i. hate. you. (the 10+ minutes of me being shocked and mad at you)

"I will protect my friends even if it kills me." Kaiya Mays|19|Bomb Magic *Reisa says this
Lina let out a pained cry as Kogi landed another hit on her. It appeared to her that he had lost control of himself more than he already had. His eyes displayed hysteria, triggered by his capture. His flames had definitely left a burn multiple places around her body, but the pain was especially prevalent on her forearms, which she had attempted to shield herself with. 'Damn, Gwen just dealt with that hole in my arm too.' Movement in her peripheral vision brought Lina's gaze towards Datura, who was silently moving towards the boy on the floor, struggling to breathe. Lina let out a loud gasp (kind of like I did) when she had witnessed the guild master slam his foot down on top of the pleading boy's hand. What's more, the bastard left him there! The fighting around the guild hall had ceased, the other Myosotis mages who had been there left with their guild master. The Fairy Tail mages who were there were helping each other recover from the fights they had just had. Lina was glad that they were helping each other because this gave her a chance to quickly run to where Kogi was laying and help him.
With a grunt as she hoisted the boy over her burnt shoulder, Lina walked him over to a nearby table and sat him down on a chair. "Stay here." She said gently as he looked at her in confusion. Gwen had stayed behind with those stationed in the guild, especially since she has not gotten very far in training in fighting tactics. Lina had went to go find her and as she did, she noticed that the guild hall was fortunately not as destroyed as expected. The only real damage that had been done was the small area of the floor that Datura had removed and some holes in a wall. She saw Gwen finishing up a small healing job on one of her comrades, so she called her over and explained the situation.
"That's Kaiya's friend, Kogi. He sees us as hostile, but I need you to heal him as much as you can." Lina explained. "His hand and his head are the worst injuries." The two slowly walked over to the table where Kogi was, sitting in silence, trying not to alarm him. "Excuse me," the young healing mage started, "I'm going to heal you. I'm not going to hurt you, I promise." She spoke to him like he was an emotionally unstable toddler, which he practically was at the moment. He didn't say anything, telling the girl to proceed. He winced a bit, but kept still as she healed him.
"We're pulling back", the team of Fairy Tail mages heard. Vera and Jin started to run after the enemy as they began to leave, but they were just too fast. (I'm assuming that Hachi also put platforms under the unconscious crash and lightning mages too) All that remained in the area were the two crying females sitting on the floor and the other 2 members of the Fairy Tail team.
Kaiya was having unexpected things thrown at her recently, including the sensory bracelet that was glowing in front of her tear stained face. As far as she knew, Ms. Reisa had never had magic, but now she finds out that not only does she have Sensory Link, but that it's also connected to Kogi?! 'But, Ms. Reisa hasn't seen Kogi, so when did she...?' The gut-wrenching realization dawned upon the stunned brunette. 'The attack! She must have connected it to Kogi during the attack before he got lost! But if she had Sensory Link connecting them, that means...' Kaiya, who was crouched down on her feet so that she could help the woman now fell entirely on the ground, staring straight forward in disbelief. She had realized that on the day of the attack six years ago, when she and her parents had witnessed their close family friend get killed, Kogi had actually felt it happen. "Oh my god." Kaiya spoke in a remorseful tone of voice. She couldn't imagine how it must have felt for Kogi, scared and lost, to feel whatever the sensation was, probably unaware of why he felt that way. Kaiya had started training with her magic around that time, so she could have at least tried to help his parents deflect the oncoming magic. But she didn't and her best friend had to feel that brutal pain.
The heartbroken brunette looked back down to the woman holding her shoulder, seeing the tears running down her eyes. Tears of pain and worry. Thunder cracked and lighting illuminated the area around them, followed by the question that Kaiya really didn't want to answer. "Where is my son?" Silence only came from Kaiya as she shook her head, her hair and clothes now drenched by the rain that had begun to fall. She couldn't figure out a way to tell Ms. Reisa that she and Kogi were now enemies and that he was probably being brutally beaten by the people he now resides with, her doing nothing about it even though she really wanted to. Kaiya had thought that seeing Kogi walk away and protect a dark guild was the hardest situation she had experienced in her life, but that couldn't compare to the difficulty and emotional pain of trying to tell his mother what was happening to him.
Vera and Jin were staring at the interaction between the two, piecing together just who this woman was from her question about Kogi. They were also drenched from the rain, and it seemed to them that everyone had ceased their fighting for now, seeing as how they didn't hear any battles in the distance. "I think I have an idea of where Kogi is." Vera spoke, causing both Kaiya and Reisa to turn their heads towards her, Kaiya frantically shaking her head, fear present in her eyes. "Let us go to the guild. We can dry off and figure everything out." Jin added, figuring that that was where Kogi was, considering how their Guild Master needed their Memory mage to report to the guild hall immediately. He stepped towards the two and carefully picked up Reisa, careful with her leg, which could be healed at the guild. Vera tended to Kaiya, who was still shaking her head, this time less frantically while looking towards the muddy ground below them. With the two supporting each other, the group began making their journey back to the guild, which wouldn't be that far from their station.
(After a little bit of walking)
The group could see the light through the open doors of the guild as they approached. Noya had surprised them by sprinting past, probably held back because of a battle. This confirmed the team's suspicions. Kogi was here. But where was the rest of his guild?
The four slowly made their way to the doors, where they looked inside at guild members (the ones who were already there: the rest remained in their positions near the enemies) who were tending to each other. Their eyes scanned the room before they landed on a table seating the one and only "Kogi*".
