[b]Appearance: a black spotted savannah cat
At first glance one could practically mistake Darlingkisses for a solid black cat, and if it weren't for a few redeeming factors then that's what she'd be. But the things that separate her from a normal cat are quite noticeable enough that as soon as you've overlooked her as a normal black cat your eyes instinctively travel back again to get another look. Now, when you're actually taking a good look at her you can see that she is no average black cat... and that's what we're going to talk about.
Being a savannah cat is quite interesting really as it sets your lineage apart from everyone else's. I mean having a cat and a serval as parents would be pretty cool, right? And it seems that a lot of a savannah's characteristics come from the serval and Darlingkisses is no exception. Her height, an important factor in her appearance, definitely relates to the serval blood pulsing through her. Although not quite the height of a serval she's still taller than your average-Joe and so she takes a height ranking of midway between a serval and a cat. Her legs are long and skinny instead of well muscled, but if she was a real warrior and tough trainer than that could be different, and only add to her height, although they seem to make her look a lot taller than she actually is.
The wild looking pelt that covers the soft skin on Darlingkisses' body is a dark colour, a brilliant shade of midnight black. Called wild for it's slightly scraggly look and texture her fur almost seems to have tiny little waves, like crimped hair does, in it compared to the pelt of a cat. Against the black though is an even darker shade which spots her pelt in rosettes that can only be seen up close and in direct light to make them shine a bit better. These spots cover her already black pelt, wrapping around her legs, back, side, tail and neck, although missing the backs of her ears. The ears on a savannah, and the same is on Darlingkisses, have thick, black for Darlingkisses, rings/stripes that cover them, making them stand out slightly against the rest of the body.
Now we'll move onto the finer points of her appearance, which shall be our last stop in this particular compartment. Starting with her eyes, I think. The shape of almonds they take on a very faded and pale shade of amber, like the yellow on traffic lights but a lot lighter in colour. Her ears are large, like a serval, and slightly cone-shaped, coming up to rounded and smooth tips at the end. The whiskers on Darlingkisses are long and a ghostly white, making them stand out against her otherwise black body. In between the whiskers is a nose, soft pink in colour it's bridge is long and flat, much like that of a serval. And finally upon standing up at full height one will notice that on Darlingkisses, and most savannahs, their rear end is slightly higher up than their prominent shoulders, giving them a long an sloping figure.
[b]Personality: a shy and observant cat with a stutter
If you're looking for someone bold, outgoing and very social than quite frankly you have come to the wrong place to find them. Darlingkisses is almost a complete contradiction to that type of cat, she's not bold, outgoing or hugely social. Instead she's a quite timid and observant little thing, preferring to watch rather than to join in when it comes to games. So let's talk about that and the other points in her personality that come to mind when you think of time spent with the she-cat.
Like I said before Darlingkisses is, in no way, a socialite or a party animal of any sorts. In fact she's actually very shy and barely manages groups of three and four, let alone more cats in any conversation that she's in. Due to this shyness Darlingkisses speaks with a small stutter in her words, making her sound just as nervous as she feels. A quick way of telling whether or not she's feeling nervous or shy is to look at the position and movement of her whiskers. When she's feeling shy or nervous, even both sometimes, they tend to twitch a little bit as she struggles to keep her nerves under control.
Darlingkisses is always watching and learning from the behaviour of her clanmates from a ripe and young age. Not one to join in when her siblings and others are playing games together she prefers to sit and watch what happens throughout the day and she picks up the most subtle things. How the warriors position the fresh kill in their jaws, careful not to rip or damage it any further than it need be. Even the tender way that the medicine cats and apprentices carry their herbs as if they're little flames and they're being protected from the harsh winds. If something is wrong Darling is normally one of the first to notice it, even if it just from the worried look in a clanmate's eyes.
Another thing about Darling is that she is basically as sweet as candy, like a lollipop maybe. She's always trying to help people, whether it be running errands for others or delivering fresh kill to the elders, queens and medicine cats. Darkingkisses just loves to be in other peoples good graces and doesn't believe in fighting or injuring others unless it's necessary to do so. But don't think that makes her a vulnerable target, in battle she knows her task and she does it to protect the lives of herself, her clanmates, her friends and her family.
