Kumiko sighed in frustration as the girl jumped onto her balcony and began screaming at the shadows. Just as she was about to began yelling at her, she noticed a figure moving from far away in the shadows. She shook her head in confusion, thinking to herself, 'How was she even able to see that?' Kumiko honestly didn't care if the stranger joined them. She preferred to be by herself, and it wasn't ideal to have to keep two people under her roof. She sighed and began to aim at the large zombie, hoping that she would be able to see a day where she could be alone again.

Just as Kumiko safely made it down from her balcony, she heard an explosion. Her dark grey eyes widened slightly in shock, but it soon dawned on her what happened. She looked towards the woods to find the giant zombie laying decapitated on the ground. She smiled softly that she would be able to continue living. Her eyes scanned the ground, looking for the two people that had been taking shelter at her house for the night. Once she caught sight of them, she nodded and headed back inside to get some medicine together.
-
Kumiko heard the girl come inside and lay down on her sofa. Almost immediately, she ran into her living room to see if she was on the sofa. To her horror she was laying down on the sofa, splattered with the blood and guts of the undead. She stood there staring at the girl for a few minutes before realization hitting her, her couch was probably covered in blood now. She started to say, "i swear, if you get up and there is blood on my couch, YOU are cleaning it all up."
-
Kumiko nodded in relief and smiled softly to herself thankful that she didn't have a carpet on the floor. She sighed and began to walk upstairs to sleep for what was left of the day. Just as she was about to lay down, she realized that she was still in her usual day clothes. She laughed softly to herself and shrugged, going to her closet and grabbing a shirt and some shorts. After getting changed, she laid down in her bed again and went to sleep.
-
Kumiko woke to the sound of Eli shouting about how she would be back with something later. She sat up and pushed her tangled grey hair out of her face and yawned. She smiled to herself, maybe some peace and quite, but she then remembered, that there was still another person living under her roof for now. She changed into her usual navy shirt and capri jeans and walked down stairs to make herself some breakfast. She grabbed a pack of breakfast bars and ate them with a small bottle of water. As she was eating, went back upstairs to sit on her balcony and eat. Sometimes, the city was seemingly peaceful this early in the morning. It was one of her favorite times of day since there weren't as many zombies out as there would be during the middle of the day.
-
As Kumiko went to sit in her chair on the balcony, she noticed Blake was already sitting there looking at some pictures. She shrugged and continued on deciding she would eat in her room and maybe clean a bit. Cleaning was one of the few things that she took pleasure in. To her it made her feel somewhat human, having something that she used to do before. As she was folding her clothes, a small picture fell out of her jacket pocket. She picked it up and looked at it closely. She smiled softly, seeing it was a picture of her and a friend. She stopped for a moment wondering if they were still alive, but quickly shrugged it off.
-
OOC: i wouldn't mind if they knew each other but i would prefer if he would still be alive... I will most likely make a new character (that will be him) :)
IC: Kumiko turned around startled to see Blake standing there. She quickly replied, holding up the picture, "Oh, this? Umm, he was a friend who was a foreign exchange student from Japan that went to my high school." After hesitating for a few moments, she continued, "is there any chance you could've seen him?" She sighed and placed the picture back down on her bed. -
Kumiko looked up at Blake, her dark eyes filled with joy. "Thank you!" She smiled and picked up her clothes, putting them in her closet, but being careful to keep the picture separate. She was now glad that she had let Blake stay at her house, because now she had a new reason to live for. She gently placed her picture on her bedside table, next to the picture of her family.
-
Her eyes widened as she turned around, "He did? Do you still have it?" Her head tilted slightly to the side in confusion. She was hopeful and curious to see if he did have it, hoping he did. She smiled nervously tapping her fingers unconsciously on her bedside table.
-
She nodded slowly, now slighltly nervous to find out what it read. She hesitantly looked at Blake and asked, "would you mind reading it for me?" She was somewhat upset with herself for asking someone else to read it, but she would rather have someone else read it to her.
-
Kumiko nodded, happy he was alive. She smiled and thanked him, sitting on her bed, taking a moment to process the words. She looked up at Blake and asked, "Do you mind if I see that?" She wanted to look over his writing to make sure this was all real.

[mergedate]1476331310[/mergedate]OOC:Kumiko took the paper from Blake, reading over the words, but stopping when she heard him ask about if he was more than a brother to her. She looked up a little, trying not to blush, "Well, umm. I guess you could say more than a brother..." She quickly looked away, not used to talking about who she liked or how she felt about people. She quickly handed the paper back to him and thanked him before excusing herself to go downstairs.
-
Kumiko rummaged through her cupboards looking for her hidden stash of liquor. She smirked to herself and grabbed a bottle. She went to sit down at the table and opened the can. Her eyes lifted up towards the clock on her wall. She shrugged seeing it was around lunchtime. She took a small sip from the can and sighed. One of her many new flaws was that she drank sometimes. She tried hard to never get drunk, even though it had only happened once, she was good about it. As she continued drinking, she thought back to Blake. She felt bad in a way for straight up telling him how she felt for Haruki. She quickly shrugged it off. That was another problem of hers, she didn't think too much about her problems. Most of the time, she simply ignored them. Although it could be a problem, most of the time, it helped her get through things.
Haruki sat casually on the branch of the tree as he watched the city. He grabbed his handgun as he heard a stray zombie moaning at the base of the large oak tree he was taking refuge in. He sighed and pulled the trigger, watching as it fell to the ground. He looked around as he heard voices somewhat close to him. His head tilted in interest, wondering if there were actually survivors around and if they were friendly or hostile. Caution made him stay put in his tree for now, seeing if he could find any people.
-
Kumiko looked up and smirked, "Yeah, but it kinda helps me get through things." After a short pause she continued talking, "But a honestly, can't thank you enough for saving him." Just as she was about to continue drinking she remembered Blake was there and asked, "Do you want a drink?"
-
Kumiko nodded at Blake, smiling softly up at him. She finished her drink and headed upstairs to get some stuff together for the next day. She planned on getting both people out by tomorrow, not that she didn't dislike Blake, she just wasn't used to having a group. She wasn't too sure about Eli, although her first impressions with her weren't that great. She began thinking of a plan as she began shoving some small weapons, snacks, a few bottles of water, and a pair of clothes into her black backpack.
Haruki smiled slightly as he spotted the two people talking. He sat there for a few minutes, listening to their conversation. He tried hard to not laugh at some points due to their arguing being somewhat ridiculous. He smirked as the girl said something witty and placed her hand on her hip. His head tilted in interest, seeing how she carried a large deer on her back. He was surprised she had been able to find one. He leaned forward, trying to get a closer view, only to be startled by a sudden moan coming from below him. He let out a strangled yell of surprise and fumbled around for his handgun, quickly shooting the creature through the head. He cringed in anticipation, scared to see if the other people heard his yell. He hoped that if they did, they wouldn't kill him or take all of his stuff.
-
Haruki smiled shyly and awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck, "Oh, um sorry about that. Don't mind me, i just live here." He looked at the girl and became confused again, seeing that she stopped smiling. He thought about what might be wrong, but couldn't figure it out, "Are you OK?" he asked, suddenly curious why the girls attitude had suddenly changed. His eyes darted around the forest, looking for any zombies, wondering if there were any nearby. He couldn't see anything, so he looked at the male standing across the from the girl. Nothing strange about him. He wondered what could be wrong.
-
Haruki looked at the girl in confusion, "Umm, Haruki...Why do you need to know?" He was unsure of why he even gave her his name, and why she even wanted it. He stared at her in confusion for a few second, until he looked at the male and gave him a confused look, wondering if he understood what was going on.
-
Haruki snickered softly to himself. He looked at the male and smirked, "Yeah, but what do you mean by there seem to be a lot of me around." He wasn't sure what that meant and shrugged to himself, wondering what it could mean. His brown eyes darted back and forth between the male and female, curiosity building up inside him. He was tempted to ask them some questions, but figured it could wait.
