Riku's eyes searched the bookcase placed in front of him, his fingers skimmed along book spines. He liked reading but this book for English was really starting to get on his nerves. It was necessary since he had just transferred here and he was required to read it for an upcoming project. The thing seemed to be evading him! He sighed, ready to give up. Turning to leave, he barely caught sight of the blonde girl sitting on the floor by herself. "Hey, what are you doing here by yourself?"

ooc: G'night!
ic: He quietly gave a short laugh at her reaction, then walked into the forest.
-
Trekking the bushes, Nile pushed numerous tree branches out of his way, careful to avoid accidentally injuring the girl behind him with a stray flying stick. "So, do you think we'll find anything?"
-
Nile halted suddenly as something came to mind. He turned around, rubbing the back of his head, an almost sheepish smirk in place. "I can't believe I haven't asked this yet, actually it was quite stupid of me not to before, but what's your name?"
-
"Just Nile. Nothing fancy. But Violet's a pretty name for a girl like you." he then coughed subtly into his hand, quickly looking away, embarrassed after his slip up. "A-anyways we should keep going. Something must be nearby." Turning away, he marched further stiffly into the woods, silently cursing himself.
-
"Well, better just pray that we find something before that then." he replied. "Let me know if you see anything thing though."
-
Frustrated, Nile sighed as they continued moving through the trees, they hadn't found anything worth mentioning yet, and they had been out here searching for a while now. "Maybe there's a place we haven't looked yet." he mumbled quietly, glancing around suspiciously for anything hidden.
-
"Always?" Riku frowned, confused. Did she mean she came here often enough? "You like the library so much that you're always here? Don't you ever go outside? Can't be healthy to stay indoors like this all the time."
-
"Well that doesn't sound exciting." Riku said, glancing around. He stood there awkwardly for a moment, unsure of what to do, then sat down near the bookshelf. "It's alright if I stay here for a little while, right? You look like you could use a bit of company, must be lonely up in this library and I've got no plans for the afternoon. I couldn't even find the stupid book I came in here looking for anyways."
-
ooc: Victoria? I thought her name was Emiko...
ic: "If I remember correctly it was a classical book I needed for an assignment." Riku sighed, absentmindedly fidgeting. "But it was so much trouble just looking for it. I couldn't even find it after about fifteen minutes of searching."
-
Riku raised an eyebrow, staring at her in surprise for a few moments before getting up. "Okay... Thanks for telling me that, I'll be back in a few minutes." He headed to the stairs to find the book."
-
ooc: sry internet has been down.
ic: "Mushrooms? Man this search isn't getting us anywhere." he said, staring down at the fungus with contempt. "I hate mushrooms..."
-
ooc: how are they going to get to the other world?
ic: Nile collapsed back against a tree and sat down. "There has to be something we are missing here."
-
ooc: Alright.
ic: "Eh, maybe there's something in those mushrooms." he suggested after a while. "It doesn't hurt to check, no matter how disgusting they may be."
-
"So how are we going to create a distraction big enough to keep them away for a while?" Dewpaw asked Autumnpaw quietly.
-
Hauling himself off the ground, Nile sauntered his way to the mushrooms, he kneeled down to take a closer look. "It doesn't really appear to be anything special." he reported. "They're just set in a weird pattern."
-
He came back soon, brandishing a new book. "Thanks for telling me where to find it. Now I won't have to worry about it." As he stuffed the book back into the bag, he seated himself again, setting the bag down near him. "So I take it you spend a lot of time here?"
-
"It could mean something." Nile circled around the ring of plants, examining it critically. "I mean I don't think anything like this has been seen before."
-
"But why? Riku asked curiously. "Are you under house arrest or something close to that?"
-
He only blinked before resuming his silence, waiting for her to continue.
