Spiritpaw smiled mischievously. "We can't be sure that the rumors are true," she mewed, thinking. "Most likely it was just some elders trying to scare kits with spooky bedtime stories." She licked her silky, dark fur. "I'm willing to find out, though. How long will the trip take us?" She laughed, excitement ringing out of her voice. She could almost feel the power surging through her veins already.

Spiritpaw grew uncomfortable as they wandered into the camp. "Lets not sleep in the apprentice den," she growled, looking over at it. "I'm afraid I'll claw someone's eyes out if we do." She padded closer to Scarpaw, feeling cold in the continuous rain. She pointed her silky tail at some boulders at the back of the camp. "Lets find a spot under there."

Spiritpaw opened her eyes and yawned. She rubbed her eyes with her paws then sat up, looking at Scarpaw. The she-cat smiled. It was nice waking up next to him. "Right," she mewed. "Lets go." Spiritpaw trotted out of the make shift den and creeped out through the back of camp.
