"Why should her even care? He doesn't even care about his own kits let alone another cat's!"

"But I-I wanted to do my ceremony with her sitting right next to me." Mousepaw said

Mousepaw nodded but still felt sad

Mousepaw nodded as Snakestar jumped onto the highrock.

Duskkit was so furious. She pounced on Cherryflame then sunk her teeth deep into her flank.

"During a training session there was a rock that was about to fall on Mousepaw. His mother, Honeyfern, pushed him aside and the rock fell on her. She didn't survive and we will sit vigil for her tonight." Snakestar said

"Wait is it true? Really?" Mousepaw asked.

Mapleleaf was watching the other queens and their kits when she saw Smoothcloud come in with Smokefur not far behind. "Good, great actually. How are you?" The light brown queen asked.

"Hmm Abdominal pain, eh? I had that in the first few stages of my pregnancy." Mapleleaf said thinking back to when there was so much pain she thought she was gonna die.

"Well if you mean how far you've gotten in your pregnancy your at the beginning." Mapleleaf mewed.

"Yes, of course Smoothcloud. I mean you still have a long way to go but it's good that you came." Mapleleaf said.

Mousepaw stood in the medicine cat with his siblings hoping it was true.

"Well I might be able too since I just got done with a patrol." Mousepaw said

Mousepaw layer down the moss and made a nest for Firekit.

"Well first of all go somewhere private. I'm sure he will enjoy it but also worry for you." Mapleleaf said

Mousepaw nodded at Firekit then at Jayheart. "Okay but later. Cmon." Mousepaw said heading over to the Highrock.
