    [hr]Wind tussled the soft fur of a tiny seal point. It was immediately evident she was no older than a moon, though one would guess younger by her size. The kitten's fur was messy and had stands of moss stuck in it, undoubtedly from taking refuge somewhere for a short period of time. All looked fine from a distance, as if the feline were merely in need of a home and good meal.




    But upon closer inspection, there was far more damage. A black face was flecked with stress and fear, a cut down one side. She was limping, her front right paw bright and swollen, appearing as if it were infected. Judging by the depth of the incision, it likely was. The kitten wasn't just small; her ribs were showing under her fur, and every step she took was followed by a shudder. Luckily, the amount of injuries wasn't yet fatal, but it would quickly go that way if she wasn't treated soon.




    She urged herself forward, just over the SkyClan border. A deep grunt of effort emitted from her throat just before she stumbled, crying out as her wounded paw hit the ground. This was it. She needed help now, and she knew it. "H-help," squeaked the kitten feebly.

She scrambled momentarily to try and get away before it spoke. The kitten froze, at first uncertain, then hesitantly mewed, "N-no... my paw hurts." She stole a quick glance down at the twisted and swollen limb, which was the thing most in need of medical attention.

    The seal point's eyes grew the slightest bit more as cats began coming out of nowhere. However, their assurance and gentle attitude made her believe that maybe they weren't all that bad. She cast nervous glances at all of them, but nonetheless, asked, "Who are you?" While her voice came in a shy squeak, it was evident she held some curiosity in her tone. Besides, it was a nice distraction from her injuries.

Balletkit is one moon old, and the daughter of two npcs, but she was recently adopted by Onestar. She's open to friends, future crushes/flings, and almost anything else. Her deep blue eyes studied Onestar and Northernstar, suddenly timid again, as if she believed they might go back on their offer. Of course, that thought was absurd, but she didn't yet know that. In the meantime, she curled up her body in Onestar's grip, allowing herself to be carried, as she was still easily small enough.

    [hr] Balletkit was, for the most part, remaining close to the medicine cat den until she was healed. The stings of her wounds still hurt, especially her paw, which was likely going to become a permanent limp. Yet she already felt a bit better, knowing she finally had a place to stay and there would always be others to look out for her. That was important for a kitten as young as she was.




    However, recovery meant that she didn't have much to do. The small point couldn't play with the others, as it might reopen the wound on her paw and cause more damage. So she sat in camp, flicking around a gray tail in boredom.
