[justify][glow=black,2,300]Remember that crazy hacker group called Anonymous, and how they were all protesting outside banks and government? And remember how the rest of us all looked at them like they were crazy and paranoid-even viewing them like they were erratic terrorists who would gladly kick a puppy on the street?
Yeah, well, they were right.
In the year 2028, the American government FINALLY announced that the Constitution was going to be, "...modified to fit the needs and wants of the modern American people in a more efficient fashion whilst still maintaining fair and liberal policies...". The country was in an uproar, especially when the people began realizing that certain government officials, including members of the Senate, House of Representatives, and many Supreme Judges had all mysteriously died or gone missing- but only those who were against the modernization of the Bill of Rights/Constitution.
The country split into many different sections, all for different purposes. Some people were supportive of the new plan for our country- even though it practically annihilated all basic human rights and prevented us from protecting ourselves from crime. Others were totally against it, most of these people being previous or current Anonymous participants. Other groups branched off from there, as I'm sure you can imagine.
In 2031, after several years of the chaos-not-quite-anarchy, the new Bill of Rights, renamed the U.S. Allowance Ordinance, was released to the public. It reads as follows:
The People of the United States of America, now obeying under the authority of a communist-socialist government, do hereby adhere to the new Laws and Regulations thus (graciously) provided by the New Age Privileges. In doing so, each individual Civilian shall pledge their Life, Leisure, and Liberty to the New Age Privileges: providing Peace, Calamity and Justice for the Commonwealth in order to promote the Welfare of those who Obey.
Each Civilian is granted the Right to Speak Freely (yet appropriately) about any topic they desire, as long as it does coordinate with any ideas of Rebellion or Criticism.
Every Civilian Minor, starting at age six, is Required to attend Primary Class, Secondary Class, and the Militia Academa- graduating above the eighty fifth percentile in order to be granted liberal adulthood.
No Civilian, of any age, ethnicity, gender or orientation shall own or wield Any sort of Weapon or Substance that can lead to the endangerment of the Society or Government.
Any Form of Rebellion or Disobedience, even in the smallest fraction, shall not be tolerated by any means.
False Speech, Suggestive Actions, or Violation of this Ordinance shall and will result in said violator being taken into custody for appropriate action.
For the Safety of All, Soldiers of the New Age Military will be stationed in Every District, Establishment, Educational Facility and Government Building. Provocation towards these Men and Women Shall result in appropriate punishment, due to the according law.
No Average Civilian will be Granted Access to the Courts nor be Given a Trial of any Kind to preserve resources and prevent Domestic Inaccuracy.
Failure to Obey these Laws and Regulations shall lead to an appropriate course of action to be taken- including Death and Imprisonment.
[color=skyblue]And just like that, America was enslaved. At first, they were very lenient with protestors and rebels. But as the months dragged on, the peaceful sign-making and mask wearing just faded away- replaced by bullets to the head and gas bombs. Widows and orphans were sprawled out all over the country, poverty hitting an all time low. The rich- they were rich. They obeyed and were rewarded and pampered like no other. In stead of president, we had a Leader. Schools were destroyed and replaced by military-like training centers where the children were brainwashed into submissive little zombies.
And even with twenty years of crime in the streets with no consequences and a hushed sheeple way of living, rebels lived on. You see, other countries around the world saw the enslavement of the citizens and tried to help. It, of course, ended in war. Americans were being bombed left and right, and our enemies took advantage of the feeble state of the country to attack us at will. The population was reduced to a sixteenth of what it had been. The government eventually forced people underground, creating an entire civilization safe from the explosions.
All of America was deserted- except for the military stations that were lined around the perimeter of the underground base- now named Terra Privila (privileged earth). Soldiers were trained above ground and sent on missions into the wild and primitive ashes of once great America.
A hundred forty years passed since the initial completion of Terra Privila, and the former Americans stayed underground without a single complaint. But those rebels who so long ago escaped the smoldering ruins and fought the wilderness to stay alive surged forth- survivors.
Refugee camps, small bases, groups of bandits and a very post-apocalyptic way of life was adopted. There were paths around the west coast that were taken by the settlers of what was named Regenica. Five major Sectors were all connected by these paths- ranging from desert trails to mountain hikes and even crumbling freeways littered with rusting cars and crows.
[color=orange]Sector One: Pompeii
Sector One is one of two Sectors that is set what used to be Arizona. It manufactures mainly fire fuel and gasoline, along with precious minerals.
Sector Two: Atlantis
Sector Two is located in present-day San Francisco. It is primarily a fish and salt supplier for the other Sectors.
Sector Three: Pyramid
Sector Three sits in Death Valley, providing building materials to the rest of the Sectors.
Sector Four: Chernobyl
Sector Four is the medical sector. Medicinal supplies, surgical tools, vaccines, antibiotics and more are shipped around the Sectors from here.
Sector Five: Boomtown
Boomtown is the largest sector, housing over five hundred thousand people. It's located in the ruins of present day Sacramento (California) and is the trade center for all the sectors.
[color=skyblue]Bandits and various groups of vigilantes roam the roads between sectors, hijacking goods and occasionally even murdering the travelers. There is no form of government out here, simply coexistence. But a new threat has been arising-
The New Age Privileges want to emerge from the Earth and rebuild America.
But the only way for them to do it is to conquer Regenica and its residents.[/glow]
