The Shadow tom swiped at Elegy, and taunted her as she dodged. She finally built up enough courage to strike back. She hit him across the face where he knocked his head on a rock. She laughed weakly, expecting him to get up. When he didn't she sat down to catch her breath.

The tom leaped up and knocked Elegy down. The two struggled for what seemed like millennia(However that's spelled) until Elegy got back on her feet. Both cats were tired, but they continued to strike and dodge.

The shadow tom finally broke away and ran.
Elegy, surprised she had won, climbed back up the hill they rolled down to rejoin the fight.

The tom-named Sparrowclaw- was furious that he lost a fight to a cat a third his size, and went to find Elegy for a rematch.

Elegy leaped onto the back of a shadow she-cat only to get thrown off. The she-cat laughed, "Pest kit! This isn't your fight!"
Elegy shook the dust off of her starry pelt, "I am no kit." She growled at the cat in front of her, once someone she knew; now someone she was forced to hate.

The she-cat laughed, "Loner scum! Come and fight!"
Elegy lunged, scraping the edge of the shadow she gave off.

Elegy continued fighting the she-cat until she was thrown to the side by Sparrowfang.
Sparrowfang pounced at Elegy, who had been thrown in front of a tree. She rolled to the side, causing Sparrowfang to hit the tree and be knocked out.
Confused from the impact and crippled by blood in her eyes she was an easy target for the cat she once called friend.

Elegy stumbled blindly in front of a shadow cat she was once good friends with. The cat steadied herself to pounce, but had a change of heart and instead. She picked up the small confused warrior and hid her in the bushes.

A cat dove underground, being tailed by two shadow cats. The first made it through easily, but the second got stuck. The star cat ran through the tunnels, being followed closely by the first shadow. She then took an immediate left that confused the other cat following her. She turned around and waited until she locked gaze with the other cat before attacking.

The cat came out of the tunnels and was greeted by another star cat.
"I need some help, Koneko!" He yelled, trying to fight three cats at once.

Koneko swiped at one of the shadow cats, getting his attention. The two cats stood perfectly still, waiting for the other to move.

The shadow cat striked, moving so quickly that his glowing eyes left a green trail. Koneko ducked even quicker, her black eyes glowing intensely.

Koneko climbed halfway up a tree and twisted around; kicking off of the tree and knocking down the cat.

The star-cat, a longhaired tabby named Rustpelt smiled at Koneko and started to say something, and he was interrupted by a shadow cat pouncing on him.
Koneko went to help, but instead attacked a different shadow cat

Koneko somehow found her way into an empty clearing, still hearing the roar of battle, though. She blinked, then went back towards her friend.

Rustpelt met her half way and finished what he was about to say.
"So, Koneko, how have you been? I wish you would let me call you by your warrior name!"
Koneko let out a sigh and nodded.
Rustpelt laughed, "Yes! Quietheart, another thing too, say something. Please!"

Koneko thought for a moment, then said, "Alright Rustpelt, see, I'm talking. I do have a question for you. Are you mad I left the clan?"
Rustpelt quickly replied, "No, no. I could never be mad. It was your mother's fault anyway, not yours. She had to have a mate in Shadowclan, then die in a fight with that same clan."

Koneko looked at her paws as if they were really interesting. She then looked up and said, "Lets rejoin the fight Rustkit- I mean Rustpelt."
She got up and ran after a shadow cat.

Rustpelt watched her leave, knowing his mistake. "If you want to get a she-cat to like you, don't mention either of her dead parents." He shook his head and helped a clanmate backed into a tree.

Koneko used a branch as a vantage point, balancing dangerously on the smallest branch, that swayed with her weight.
