Saphira shook the nightmares from her head and stood on shaky paws. She looked around the cave and found Sirren sleeping soundly in the corner. Eclipse was nowhere to be found. His scent in the cave was still strong and she figured he was either in Twi's territory or with her pack in the clearing. She stepped outside and watched the dark clouds quickly roll in to the darkening evening sky. The heavy, humid air and the wet smell in the air surely meant rain. Saph groaned. She hoped it cleared up by morning.

Saphira twisted her body into an elegant arc and whirled through the clouds. Her fur-tipped wings were soundless, much like an owl's, as she thrust herself upward. Flying came naturally to her, unlike most, her type was born to take to the sky. Despite all her troubles, she could always manage to lose herself in the clouds. The freedom was comforting. Her white coat made her almost impossible to spot amongst the clouds. Ice crystals formed in her fur as she continuosly gained altitude. Her current height was nearly airless and any animal not built for flight would not be able to stand the weightlessness. When the ground had disappeared from sight and she was surrounded only by clouds, she arched her back and folded her wings to her body. She turned and dove, making her slim body perfectly vertical. This was her favorite part. She realeased her grip, seeming to let go of reality and fell, covering thousands of feet per second, the ground was quickly nearing. Seconds from the ground, she spread her wings and flipped her body around to the side. She landed gently, her strong paws absorbing the shock. She stopped inches in front of Twi. "Beat ya," she smirked.

IC: Saph stepped slowly into the darkness of her cave. She emerged with a small grey bundle of fur in her teeth. She carefully set Sirren on the ground in front of Twi. Sirren looked up at her with just-opened bright yellow eyes. Her ribs showed through her charcoal grey fur and she was much smaller than a normal wolf at her age. She squeaked softly at Twi.

Aero whinnied happily and galloped toward the sound. From behind the brush she saw the silhouettes of horses against the high afternoon sun. She trotted towards them. She tossed her head in happiness, her thick black mane billowing around her. She approached the horse nearest her, who she assumed was the one who whinnied. "I'm Aero," she said politely.

Saph watched Twi warily. She knew there was nothing stopping her from doing the same. How badly she wanted to run, to fly so high into the clouds that she could just escape life. But one thing kept her. Eclipse. She had thought about just taking him with her many times but there was no way she could get Twi to come too. She was too attached to her pack. Saph had learned over the years not to become attached to things. With her own eyes she had seen years of work and cooperation be slipped out from under her in an instant. Deep down, she knew this wasn't the case. Twi's pack needed her. As much as she hated to admit it. That was another reason she could've left. No one here needed her anymore. Eragon had taken her whole life away. All she had left was Eclipse, and Eragon would never get rid of him. He would do anything he wanted to Eclipse but he knew better than to kill him. The reason being that, simply, if Eragon killed Eclipse, he would have nothing left to use against her.
