Oh, so it included feelings? Sammi didn't like to talk about feelings, since he believed that he didn't have any except for anger or distress. "I was just wondering." he answered simply, not wanting to get into the details of why he was curious about friends. It must take a lot of effort getting friends. All the trust that has to go into them seemed a bit difficult. "Do you have any friends?" Sammi questioned, still not glancing up from what he was working on. The thought of friends didn't seem too bad, but Sammi was still questioning the effort that had to be put into it.

Sammi shook his head, "Nope, I never had any friends. It didn't cross my mind until now." He was lying when he said that; he did think of friends from time to time but whenever he did, the possibility of him actually having a friend decreased. First of all, he was wanted. Second of all, he caused tons of trouble, so therefore, he was less trustworthy. At the last sentence Josiah said, Sammi grew quiet, silently agreeing even though he never experienced having friends.

"I'm not the same. I don't - I shouldn't - have feelings. I'm not designed to have friends. Case closed." Frustration prickled at his skin but he ignored it, finishing up the rest of the code. He spent most of his life alone and he wasn't going to change that, even though he wanted to. He took a couple of steps back once he was done, crossing his arms as he examined it for any mistakes. "I'm done."

    [ooc:] it's okay! =D

[ic:] Alfred smiled happily, mood always seeming to get better when Arthur was around. "Hey Artie!" He glanced up at his boyfriend, attention focused on him for a second before it finally drifted away to what was behind him. Alfred peeked over Arthur's shoulder, giving the entity a warning glance. Of course WhiteFace wanted to break something to cause Alfred more stress. WhiteFace seemed to be growing more hungry for attention, which Alfred didn't like at all. Arthur could see WhiteFace, he just never noticed the entity. However, WhiteFace seemed to be more ambitious for that kind of attention...Alfred just hoped that Arthur wouldn't notice.

Slight frustration flickered in Sammi's eyes and he didn't say anything for a moment. Of course he wouldn't like it if he was referred to as an 'it' but he didn't want to actually admit it. However, he did eventually answer, "No, I wouldn't..." Yet he still found it difficult to believe that he was actually the same as humans. There were so many differences.

Sammi honestly had no idea what he was feeling right now, mostly because he had no one say that to him...ever. It was actually sort of a relief. Sammi was actually tempted to ask Josiah if he could be his friend, but his shyness got in the way and he ignored the temptation. "Thanks..." he muttered, not good at showing much emotion.

Sammi's temptation only grew as the seconds passed but he kept ignoring it, not wanting to be rejected or anything. He wasn't trustworthy, so there wasn't any possible way that Josiah would accept him as a friend. He might as well try, right? "Do you want to be my friend?" he finally asked, silently hoping that the answer would be 'yes.' Sammi was a pessimist, so he immediately thought of the worst, which only made his worry grow.

Sammi nodded in understanding but he was secretly fan-girling on the inside. He didn't actually expect Josiah to accept him as a friend, and the thought of having one excited him. "Yay! A friend!" As soon as he said that, he cleared his throat, saying in a less cheerful voice. "I mean, that's cool." He didn't know why, he just didn't like expressing happiness in public. It was a little embarrassing, to say the least. He had never done it around anyone.

Sammi actually don't realize how awkward it sounded and instead thought that it was just something friends did. "Okay!" He nodded his head, still happy that he had earned his first friend. However, Josiah might leave soon, since he didn't belong in this sort of world. The thought dampened his spirits a little but oh well. At least he experienced having a friend, even if it was for a little while.

Alfred turned his attention back to Arthur, giving him a questioning look. "Yeah?" he asked, casting a couple glanced behind him every now and then, just in case. This sort of behavior seemed strange, but Alfred didn't care. As long as Arthur didn't find out. Maybe if he did, WhiteFace would haunt the both of them and the last thing Alfred wanted to see was Arthur getting hurt. Honestly, Alfred could care less about his own personal being, as long as Arthur was still okay.

"Humans are so fixated on their touching. They can't go a day without laying their hands on somebody else. Their minds are weak, and they don't have any common sense. They can't comprehend anything until someone thoroughly explains it to them, and they are very self-centered." Sammi began to rant, stopping himself before he said anything else that might be offensive. In actuality, he could list way more things but he didn't want to be too mean. "You sorta changed my opinion so not all humans are like that. The ones I met in the past either wanted to kill me or were part of the government."

"But pissing off-" Sammi began but held his to tongue, not wanting to press on the matter. Instead, he wanted to know about the human world. "So what do you humans do for fun? I heard of something having to do with snow. Speaking of snow, how does it feel? Like, what can you do in it?" He was always curious about snow. He had only seen images of snow on the Internet.

Alfred found himself staring into Arthur's emerald eyes and he searched for the right words that could tell Arthur that everything was fine, when it really wasn't. "Nothing's wrong, I'm just..." His voice trailed off as he thought of some more excuses that might get him out of this situation. He had used tons of excuses before, and he hoped that he didn't run out of them. He only started panicking when he heard a thumping sound, and glanced at WhiteFace who was just asking for more attention. "Ignore that." As soon as he said that, Alfred mentally face-palmed himself. Idiot! He scolded himself.

Sammi thought for a moment, only choosing some of the questions that he thought were the best. "What about the stars? I've only seen pictures of them but I always wanted to see them in real life." Sammi was blushing a little, since he felt a little embarrassed asking that. He didn't know why, he was just interested in them. They seemed pretty by all the images he had seen. "What makes them so special?"

Sammi breathed in awe, "They sound amazing. Your lucky to live in that kind of world." The only good things about living in the digital world was free access to internet and the power to hack. That was about it; you never got to see beautiful things such as the stars or the snow in real life. You can only find images of them. It did get pretty boring at times, since Sammi was alone a lot.

So Alfred couldn't hide from the truth now, even though he wanted to. He debated on whether or not he should make a reasonable lie for this, but that would take him some time and apparently he didn't have any of that. The American was silent for a moment before he began, "Err....it's kind of a long story." He wasn't sure what WhiteFace was going to do if he actually did tell his lover so he started off slow, as if checking to see if it was okay. The entity made no move to stop Alfred, but he wanted to wait for a couple of more seconds before he began to tell how the whole mess came to be.

The thought of actually coming along with Josiah made Sammi grow more eager to come along with him. "Yeah, I want to come!" he grinned happily, the cheerful attitude coming back. Sammi's personality seemed to change a lot, since he was unused to actually being around a human being. He normally kept his emotions to himself, which didn't work sometimes. Anyway, Sammi was just plain thrilled to come along with Josiah and experience all the things normal humans did.

Sammi shrugged, "Yeah, I can, I just don't need it." To Josiah's second statement, he grew a little unsure. Was he just unused to being touched or did he actually not like it? "I'm not used to physical contact but I can live with it, I guess." Touching was still new to him but he guessed that was what humans did daily so he might as well get used to it, even though it was such a strange concept.

Sammi flinched at first, looking a little confused. Of course he knew what hugs were, since they were all around romance movies, but he never experienced one himself. It was quite strange at first, but then Sammi allowed his muscles to relax and he didn't seem as tense. Should I hug back? What if I do something wrong? He wasn't sure if he should take the chance but he tried anyway. He tried his best to copy what Josiah was doing, just in case he accidentally messed up. "Sorry if I mess up." he apologized.
