"i honestly didn't know that you were dating." he began, tone of voice suggesting that he was telling the truth even thought it sounded stupid. he didn't see them around much but that was probably because leo was with nico nearly every second. it was hard for him not to be clingy even if the two of them weren't dating.

[fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 300px; height: auto;][hr][justify][size=8] friends? that didn't sound quite appealing but that wasn't because of the crush reason. no, it was because of something else. even though leo still followed nico around, it was for the wrong reason. recently, leo had found something out about nico that no one else probably knew. once he confronted the leader about it, nico instantly began to...maybe hate him? the two of them don't say much nice things to each other and they nearly got into a fight. they actually said some pretty mean stuff about each other and leo made the mistake of using that certain fact against him, which almost made nico cry, which made leo feel really bad. now he was trying to make things right between them but so far, it wasn't working out.

"friends...i don't think it'll work. we said some pretty mean stuff to each other lately. but i guess i'll try." leo finally answered, his light eyes darkening for a second before returning to normal. their relationship was pretty rocky so far but they acted like friends in public to ensure that nothing was possibly wrong with them. but since percy was nico's boyfriend, leo felt like he had the right to know what they were doing. of course, leo wouldn't give all the details since that would be pretty stupid. he didn't want nico to get into any more trouble with that certain fact.

[fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 300px; height: auto;][hr][justify][size=8] that was a very good question because he didn't know at this point. the monsters were literally right in front of them yet he had no idea what to do. leo wasn't even sure what he was planning from the start. well, this wasn't good. leo took a gulp of air, his gears working to try and find out something that would get them out alive. something that would...help them win the fight. maybe he could try and take the peaceful way out? "hehe, we come in peace," leo began, trying not to cringe as the beady eyes of the monsters fell upon him. they had quite the stare. leo swayed uncomfortably, trying to resist the urge to fall down before the monsters could get him.

[fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 300px; height: auto;][hr][justify][size=8] "oh, it was nothing important. i just found out something about him and then he got mad at me, then i got mad at him, and we ended up arguing which got a little too personal and it ended up being a 'who can burst into tears first' type of argument. but i guess that it wasn't too bad." leo was lying at the end because it was pretty bad and personal. it was the type of argument that leo wanted to avoid at all costs. but he didn't want it to sound as bad as it actually was. nico and leo were both basically treading on thin ice called life. whoever stumbled would drown and leo had a feeling that it would be nico who would fall first.

[fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 300px; height: auto;][hr][justify][size=8] ha, no. no one hurt his boyfriend crush without his consent. no, leo was not having that happen or go unpunished seeing as it already occurred. he looked the monster dead in the eye before saying in a dangerous tone of voice, "i'm going to shove this hammer so far up your ass, your mother will feel it." leo was only serious in occasions like these where nico actually did mange to get hurt. leo would have actually hurt the monster of his common sense didn't hold him back. since when did leo have common sense? he didn't know himself.

if there was anything that leo liked the most about nico, then it was his pessimistic views. that have the chance for leo to try and get his hopes up. his wild eyes scanned the amusement part around him, searching for something that would serve some purpose. a roller coaster? no. a balloon stand? negative. ah, finally! a bouncy house! leo pointed at the bouncy house, craning his neck to look at nico. "can you try to shadow-travel us over there?" the latino asked hopefully, knowing that it was going to be a hard thing to do, especially with nico injured.

"for those who want to help, go ahead."

then his light eyes fell upon nico. despite the tensions between them, leo still mustered the energy to smile at him as if nothing was wrong. "look, i made one for you, neeks!" leo knew how much the other hated the nickname so that was why he used it. hey, it was a cute nickname and leo liked it himself. you couldn't make much nicknames out of "Leo."

"okay...um. how was your day?" that was the best he could do. sometimes he felt worse than nico at people skills but then he remembered that nico was the definition of socially-awkward and thought better of it. even though they argued a lot, they had a lot of fun at times, especially when they had an epic singing fight/contest and leo won when he sang "milkshake." nico literally went into complete hysterics and leo couldn't help but think of how he had such an adorkable laugh.

"we're touching now." he stated the obvious, trying to not look at the monsters, who were watching curiously.

[fancypost borderwidth=0; width: 300px; height: auto;][hr][justify][size=8] leo was angry. he and nico had been arguing left and right for days now, always pulling on a "friendship" facade whenever they were in public. don't get him wrong, there were always those few peaceful moments where leo remembered why he liked the anti social leader in the first place. it made him feel like there was hope for them being able to get close and maybe even close enough for leo to hug him or tackle him. but for now, the two of them were walking on tightropes. their ropes were wearing thinner and thinner as the days passed.

the golden cat didn't even bother saying anything happy to nico as he approached him. he was angry at him. he was angry that nico had a boyfriend. he was angry that nico kept on hitting nerves while they argued. he was most ragefull about the fact that no matter how hard they tried, they just couldn't get it right.

"hey death-boy. we need to talk," the older cat sneered, almost as if he was looking for an argument. you hated those you loved.

"we can set things on fire. build things. explore new places. you name it." the golden cat was open to many options since he was always full of ideas. they could literally do whatever they wanted and get away with it. of course, nico might catch them doing it, causing leo to try and bargain his way out of it. a sudden thought sparked through the latino. what did nico act like around percy? he hadn't seen the two of them together much but he would assume that nico tolerated more with his boyfriend or at least showed some emotion at times. leo was nowhere near that point.

"oh, i know this really cool place that we could go to!" leo grinned, walking off without even waiting to see if percy followed after. he could always catch up of he wanted to.

"i fell into that puddle once. well, i was actually pushed." leo commented, light eyes dancing with mischief. there were actually many things to do here. leo actually stored matches somewhere around here. "wanna set something on fire?" he offered, grinning like an idiot.

"take your time, broski. i adore being watched by these monsters." he remarked, a small laugh escaping his lips at the end of the sentence. the demigod didn't mean to sound pushy - he just didn't want the monsters to make their move.
