Silverfur heard the cats in the distance too, but she forced herself to focus on the kit. "I know it hurts but I'm nearly done. Those snakes are good guys, they have helped us and want to escape the same as we do. And.....there you go. Just rest here for awhile, try to get some sleep, and we will be back to check on you later." She left River with the kit, who was just happy to have someone to talk to. She talked to the other new cats to tell them what was going n, their plan of escape, and warnings. It was nearly dark when she had finished. "Ok, why don't we all catch something to eat real quick and then go to bed, we will need our strength for tomorrow. Also, be aware of this, the snakes sleep slither. So, if you wake up with a bunch of snakes on you, don't panic." She then caught two mice, one for River and one to feed the other kit, who could barely move. She then ate another one, made the second kit comfortable, curled around River, and fell asleep

"Sure," Silverpaw said. "It's easy once you get this hang of it." Silverpaw led them into the woods and pricked her ears. When she spotted a mouse she got down wind of the mouse, and flattened herself to the ground. Keeping silent and tail straight so not to move anything, she got close to the mouse and pounced. It hadn't even know she was there. "See? Easy! I can give you pointers if you would lik me to." she mumbled around her prey

I love that thing! I just showed it to 3 people and they had the exact same reaction as I did. Love it!

Silverpaw explained, happy to help, "You be sure to watch for sticks and stuff that might crunch. You can learn to test the ground without putting all of your weight on it, but it is easier just to watch for them out of the corner of you eye. Try again, you can do it." she encouraged
