The sound of heavy knocking came from Amy's apartment door. As the large yellow polar bear waited for his friends to answer, he scratched his head. 'Is this the right address?' Bark thought to himself as he looked at the map in his hand.

(I noticed how we don't have any other female characters. I'm debating whether or not to play Rouge as well.)

"The only possible explanation would be...he's here."

The ground shook. While the smashers stood on the red platform, the center stage cracked and crumbled, splitting down the center and slowly pulling appart. The two lakes on either side of the stadium connected and sunk through the expanding crack. Thunder & Lightning struck different parts of the colosseum as the clouds disappeared, replaced by the Final Destination skybox.

"Two can play at this game! "Come, brother!"

Master Hand snapped his fingers, and out from the abyss of the sky came another white hand. However, this hand was a lefty, and it gave a twisted laugh as it descended. The two hands met and fist-bumped before turning to face the crack in the ground.

Then, once the lakes looked dry, out from the cracks emerged two giant blue wings.

Come on guys, there's plot happening.

Pac-Man, Junior, and Yamenwatz all jumped to the front with Ludwig and Mega Man. "End of the line, Tabuu! You'll never take the mansion from us!"

"Yeah! Prepare to get stomped!"

"We're not afraid o' you!"

Tabuu lifted his head. His eyes opened, revealing those same bright pink soulless irises that Yamenwatz had seen last year. Then, he spread his arms and his wings grew as he flew over to the platform.

"W͟h̨o ̸̢͢sa̴͘͡íd̀͟ ̶҉́I͟ ͞n̴҉e̢̕͠èd͘͞e҉҉d̶̡ ̨y͏o̷̧͜ų͘͡r ̧̡p͘er͘͟͜m̶͜iśs͘͜i̵̵͞o͟n̸͞?҉͜͞"

Tabuu slammed a fist down on the blue side of the platform and shot two sharp laser beams from his eyes. The two beams glided across the ground and singed parts of the platform.

Meanwhile...

Luigi sat ProtoMan down on a nearby couch and took out a wrench from his toolbox. "Say...Bluesy..." Began Luigi as he examined ProtoMan's empty socket. "Where is your arm exactly?"

Meanwhile again...

Mario, Vinny, and Bass quickly high-tailed it to the gym, where they were met with probably the least-destroyed room in the mansion. All of the machines seemed to be in tact, and it appeared to Mario as if one of them was being used...

...WAIT...

"Hey!" Mario exclaimed, pointing at the activated Training Machine. "Someone's in there!"

Mario ran towards the machine and looked towards the large monitor on the wall to see if there was a battle going on. Unfortunately, it seemed that the only thing destroyed in the gym was just that...the monitor. There was no way of telling what was going on in there except for the text displayed on the small screen on the machine.

"It's Tabuu..."

(I'll be playing Lira since Wisey still isn't here.)

So I'm making this as less of a roleplay and more of an RPG. The Hero characters will be traveling through subspace and fighting enemies, eventually leading to a final battle. Characters will meet up and become stronger along the way. It'd be like if Subspace Emissary were an RPG.

I'll explain exactly what's happening during the RP itself, but for now, some rules n' important stuff.

IMPORTANT STUFF
-We will be using a leveling system similar to the ones found in Amiibo "Figure Players". Each character has lost most of his/her abilities but is equipped with a device that increases their strength and adds abilities in order to adapt to certain situations. The device, once it recognizes the character, gradually reprograms itself in order to give the character its respective items or weapons...kinda like gaining skills while leveling up in an RPG.
-The enemies in this RP will mostly consist of enemies from Smash-represented franchises and dark "Shadowy Clones", which are silhouetted copies of smashers without conscience. Defeating these enemies (among others) powers you up like in an RPG.
-If you haven't noticed already, this thread will be like an RPG.
-We'll start at the base and work our way through numerous dungeons in order to progress through subspace.
-If you decide to use a villain character, please make it a relatively minor character and I strongly recommend having other characters as well if you do so.
-If we get enough RPers, we'll be splitting the expedition into three teams: Red Squadron, Blue Squadron, and Green Squadron. Regardless, fill out the Squadron section of your form just in case.
-PLEASE be brief in your Personality section. We’ll get more than enough of your personality in the RP itself.

Rules
1. Don't overpower your character (This refers to gaining too many levels from a minor enemy, gaining all of your powers back too quickly, or defeating major enemies when you are vastly underleveled). That said, if you go on hiatus and come back, I’ll recommend you bump yourself up a few levels to stay in the game.
2. Levels cap out at 50, like the Amiibos themselves.
3. 3 Hero Characters maximum; Two of your own characters max per squadron. 2 Villain Characters Maximum.

Tabuu put a hand up above his head and blocked Lucina's strike with his palm. The Falchion dug into his hand, which caused a black swarm of particles to ooze out and dissolve into the air. Tabuu then withdrew his hand, as well as the lasers, and roared, which pushed the fighters back and flung Lucina over the back edge of Final Destination.

Bowser Jr painted a green circle around himself and out popped the Clown Carrier. He then ascended into the air and flew up. He flew around to Ludwig and passed him by. "Alright, Ludwig. Let's light 'em up!" He exclaimed, flying up to Tabuu. Bowser Jr began to fly in a figure-8 pattern around Tabuu's head, shooting cannonballs and fireballs while doing so.

(Gonna skip a lil bit)

Oliver laid down a large blanket on the shore of Shalour Beach. "Well, here's our 4-star suite." He said jokingly, dropping his bag onto the sand. He then released Spuds, Stark, and Simon, and they all stretched their legs before situating themselves on the blanket.

Greetings, amigos. Lucas teh Chocodile has arrived.

(So we have Bowser Jr and Ludwig up in the sky shooting projectiles, Lucina going for a more head-on approach, Pac-Man & Yamenwatz being inventive, and Samus & Raynor doing...stuff?

Outside of the program, Mario is inspecting the gym with Vinny and Bass while Luigi is back with Yoshi fixing Proto Man's arm. Olimar is deploying items around the mansion, and Yoshi & Toon Link are doing...stuff?)

The Falchion gashed Tabuu's chin as Lucina rocketed upward with her uppercut. Tabuu slammed both his fists on the Final Destination platform and roared in anger, pushing the platform back.

Then, out from seemingly nowhere, Tabuu drew an electrically charged whip.

"Keep plantin' those hydrants, Pac!" Edmund called out to Pac-Man as he attempted to light his torch. Pac-Man planted Fire Hydrant after Fire Hydrant in a row, tilted at a slight angle.

"Got it!" Yamenwatz exclaimed, holding up his now flaming torch.

"Light 'em up, Eddie!" Pac shouted, giving a thumbs up.

Mr. Game & Watch lit the hydrants, causing them to fly off towards Tabuu.

"Ludwig!" Junior shouted to his brother. "Stay back! That thing looks dangerous! Attack from a distance!"

Bowser Jr sighed and rolled his eyes as his half-brother fell out of the sky. "You call yourself a genius..." He muttered under his breath as he flew over to Ludwig. He activated the grabbing claw on the Koopa Clown Car and a robotic claw emerged from the mouth, bending down and snatching up Ludwig by the shell. Tabuu lashed again with his whip, but Junior swerved out of the way and flew back towards Final Destination.

Mario closely examined the machine, seeing if there was a way he could turn it off. The pause button was smashed, the off-switch missing entirely, and the pain absorbers smashed beyond repair. "There's gotta be a way to shut this thing down..." He said.

Mario moved between the machine and the wall, where a single cord was plugged into the wall. "Aha!" He exclaimed, attempting to shimmy between the machine and the wall to unplug it.

Then, Mario was pulled out from behind the machine by his legs.

"Oh, no no no no no. We can't have a little rat running around in our kitchen."

(I mean, you could open the door for Bark...)

Hooray, my Christmas/New Years hiatus is over!

Luigi stepped into the Cafeteria and carefully looked around, his Poltergust in hand ready for attack. As he came closer to the area where the Wraith once stood, now reduced to a pile of gold goop. "A-ha!" Said Luigi to himself as he found the arm lodged in the pile. Switching on his Poltergust, Luigi sucked up the remainder of the goo and picked the Proto Buster up off the floor. He then ran back out and returned to Proto Man.

Meanwhile, in the gym...

Lira shook Mario, still hanging him by his legs, and giggled. You people are so weak. It's quite fun, really. She then flung him away, causing him to smash into a wall and fall to the floor. Cracks could be seen in the wall as the dizzy Mario staggered to his feet. "But I would never deny father the pleasure of ending you. I'm only buying him time." Lira continued. So if you three could just stay out of our way, that would be stellar."

Ricky approached the side of the gargantuan tower and looked up, seeing countless windows and staircases along the outer walls. Surely, any strong-enough flying Pokemon could reach the top just by flying up, but he then noticed how tall the structure really was. It pierced the clouds in the sky and still continued to rise above them. Ricky backed away. No Pokemon could fly that high for that long. It's impossible. They'd need to go through from the inside.

(Whoa, that's a lot of text.)

From outside the tower, Ricky could hear Pokemon talking from inside. As he turned a corner the tiny Phanpy looked in the door and saw six Pokemon at a standoff. Two of them he recognized- the Staraptor and the Lucario. Of course, he didn't exactly KNOW them. His father knew theirs.

"Helloooooooo?" Said Ricky in the doorway of the tower.
