As soon as he'd realized what was happening, he grabbed his herbs and went into his den. He grabbed some borage, poppy seeds, and wet moss. After making his way through the cats that had gathered, he entered the nursery. The scents of Lionblaze, Cinderheart, a RiverClan cat, and the other queens. He instructed her through the process.

A small, young loner, maybe 7 moons old, wandered onto ThunderClan's lush territory. Her white paws were unseen through the thick underbrush as she slunk low onto the ground, eyeing a mouse who was nibbling at an old walnut shell. She licked her lips, then sprang at the morsel, pleased with the feeling of her teeth sinking into its neck. Blood filled her mouth, tasty and warm. The she-cat stood, beaming at her prey and then digging in.
After the meal, she licked her jaws and sat down to groom her paws. Leaves were stuck to her messy white and black pelt, and her ice blue eyes were dull. Her bones were quite noticeable, as if she hadn't eaten in days.

"The second one's coming fast, it seems," he meowed, his voice calm and collected. Another spasm through Cinderheart's pelt, and the second kit was born. Two toms, so far. He put his paw on her fatigued chest, feeling two tiny heartbeats. "Two more left. How are you doing, Cinderheart?" He was worried for the she-cat, not knowing if she'd have enough energy to birth two more kits.
