Decembersnows let a smile spread on her face. "If I could hug the river I probably would." She purred. "Um, nothing." She meowed. "I mean, it's probably nothing but, well, I've just been thinking about Magpiepaw lately, and she had been possessed for a while. She never felt herself while he was in charge." Decembersnows blinked at Sheepherder. "Thats probably not the problem though. You don't know anyone who hates you, do you?"

Ew, chew his tail off and leave it for everyone it see? Deccy won' allow that. But. Like the planting a tree. And the bolder. Maybe Photoflash can cave Rangerstars name right into highrock and start a new tradition. Each new leader will crave the name is his name so the Clan can remember what a good leader they were. If the past leader was a bad leader or something they can scarr it out.

Decembersnows set her tail over Sheepherders shoulders as they sank lower with dark thoughts. "I don't know." She meowed, though she couldn't help but smile that Sheepherder had gotten a new power. That was something to enjoy. "Probably Gunslinger, he's loyal and has seniority." Honestly, Decembersnoes hadn't been thinking about who was the next deputy. Gunslinger seemed like a liable choice, he was already assistant deputy. But then again there was Archipelagoislands, Cinderella, Candlelight... So many of her Clan mates were up for the task. But Decembersnows Photoflash would choose the best cat for the job and lead them on. She pricked her ears with surprised when she heard the demotions, cheered when Her Clan mates were promoted, "Bulletinboard! Mercurypoisoning!" and froze when her name was said. "Did he say me?" She whispered to Sheepherder.

Oh, right. Decembersnows stood quickly at Sheepherders reminder. "I accept Photoflash, thank you!" She turned and nudged Candlelight, a purr rumbling in her chest. Her gaze traveled over the Can, her spirit only dampening a little at the disappointed faces. This was more then she'd ever expected, and she'd do her very best to be her greatest at it. "Photostar!" She called. If there was one thing everyone agreed on, it was that he was going to be a great leader.

Decembersnows was so ecstatic she was surprised her fur wasn't standing on end. Her tabby fur was the same way it had been before the meeting, clean and groomed thank StarClan. There had been no indication to warn her of this exciting opportunity, but she couldn't have been more pleased. Despite what everyone seemed to think, Decembersnows knew she needed some practice at being a deputy. But she knew many good cats with both expeariance and patients who could teach her. But first, she wanted to visit an old friend. "Timescale?" Decembersnows poked her head into the medicine cat den, looking for the young healer. She had been meaning to catch up with him for sometime now, and at last she was. It had been a long time since she'd been in the medicine cat den, but it looked pretty much the same. She couldn't help but smile. It felt so good to smile.

Decembersnos ears swiveled at the sound of a crow cawing and a cat meowing. Sounded like Sheepherder. She headed towards the sound until she recognized the voices well. "Archi?" Decembersnows padded up, her blue eyes slightly worried. "Everything okay?" She asked, looking at the three cats.

Everyone said great job, well done, you deserve it. And maybe she did. But was she really ready for it? She wasn't sure. Decembersnows was deputy, and she wanted to do her best. Starting with deputy lessons. Padding over to the warriors den, the brown tabby poked her head inside. "Archi?" She called. She knew how smart the warrior was, and if anyone could give her tips on how to be deputy it was Rangerstars daughter. "I need some help."

Decembersnows turned to see Alaskenkit padded out, confused. She gave him a smile. Oh her kits. Growing up. Leaning down to nuzzle him, she meowed, "I just got promoted to deputy dear." She stood up and smiled at Candlelight, Cinderella, Sheepherder. All her Clan mates she knew and loved. There wasn't any other Clan she wanted to be deputy of. Or warrior of, frankly.

Decembersnows padded up to her kit, her blue eyes amused as she watched her kit spinning and dancing. "Whats up Alaskenkit," She asked. "To make you so happy?" She was pleased to see her son so happy and energetic, despite recent events. Looked like something good had happened, and Decembersnows really did want to know what it was. She could use some good news.

Decembersnows padded towards the warriors den, looking for a brown and white she-cat. One she'd grown up with, and one she trusted with her life. "Candlelight?" She called. Was her fur end in the den? Maybe not. Wherever she was, Decembersnows wanted to share this with her.

Her kits were growing up, getting older, making their own choices. Decembersnows was thinking about a young brown kit who wasn't there. Puppetkit. Her young son had chosen to stay in BloodClan, not wanting to come back when Deccy went or fetch him. What a sad sad choice, but Decembersnows realized she had made up her mind. Just as her father had. Decembersnows chose Clan over son. If it came to battle with BloodClan, she'd fight. Even if it meant fighting her son.

"Oh Archi." Decembersnows sighed. So this was the problem. It wasn't good, but Decembersnows was so relived her friend wasn't following the steps of Amberheart and running of to betray her Clan. "You no fool, not even close your possibly the best assistant deputy ever to lead RiverClan." The brown warrior thought for a moment before meowing, "No, you are the best. Granted I haven't seen all of them, having not been born, but since I was, I think I respected you most." Of course she respected Gunslinger, he was always great. But Archipelagoislands had an air about her that said she was going to lead the Clan. Not in the way Amberheart had, where she'd be upset when someone bested her, but that she was going to lead them to glory high position or not, or die trying. And Decembersnowsgreatly admired that. "I wouldn't have picked Mercuryposioning either," She admitted. "But he is loyal." She s it'll remembered watching him heave things at BloodClan, terrifying, but she'd been Glad at the time. "We'll just have to see how things play out. I'm sure it will be okay in the end."

Decembersnows felt guiltily happy. She was deputy. She felt guilt about being happy about that. Positions shouldn't matter, it was your loyalty and dedication to the Clan. Yet she still felt tickled every time the thought crossed her mind. She also felt guilty for feeling so happy after Rangerstar had died. But, she reminded herself, she could feel happy and mourn her leader at the same time.
