OOC: bump, you there?

Dawnpaw yawned and padded out of the apprentice den to enjoy the weather. It seemed like a good time for hunting, so she slipped through camp and out the entrance. She was the smallest of the apprentices, and she figured that if she brought home some prey, the others wouldn't tease her that much any more. Dawnpaw wandered through the fields, looking for some prey.

Dawnpaw's eyes widened when she noticed what she had stepped on and yowled in pain as the snake bit her. She jerked her paw away from the small rattlesnake and glanced at the big one, backing away from them. "Sorry!" She meowed, not knowing if they would understand or not but figured it was worth a try.

Dawnpaw started breathing rapidly. She looked at her bite, then thought about the medicine cat. Surely they had cured a snake bite before? But what if they hadn't? "Um, do you know how to cure it?" Her voice was small, and Dawnpaw felt like a scared kit.

Oliver,a pegasus stallion, had been taking a walk on the beach to clear his head from the computer codes he had been working on earlier when he glanced up and saw a flicker of something far out in the ocean. Curious, he reared up onto his back hooves and called out, "Hello? Is somepony out there?"

"Hey, don't go!" He pleaded. When the figure didn't return, he flew up into the sky and scanned the ocean for whoever it was he saw. Oliver was gliding just a tail's length from the water as he looked for something, anything that would let him know he wasn't just seeing things. "Please come back! I won't hurt you!"

Oliver smiled seeing Feather. He didn't notice her tail, just thought she was a mare going out for a swim. "My name's Oliver, what's yours?" The stallion asked her.

Oliver's eyes widened in surprise as the mare's tail came into view. His wings gave out and he fell with a splash into the water beside Feather. "N-Nice to meet you." He stammered, still in shock of Feather's tail.

"Have you always been a merpony?" He asked quickly, not trying to sound rude but was just really curious.

"That's really cool." Oliver told her. "I was born a plain old pegasus." He laughed, hoping to become friends with the merpony.

Oliver smiled. "Is it cool living in the ocean?" He asked.

"I wish I could breathe underwater like you." Oliver said, thinking how fun it must be to swim underwater for hours without coming up for air.

Oliver looked up as the moon rose and stars shone brightly. "Are there other merponies?" He asked.

"Are there towns underwater?" Oliver was very curious to know everything about how a merpony lived.

Personality: Not very trusting of other elements, but will trust them with time. A little quick tempered with everyone but his sister Jade since he learned to get used to her.

Personality: A little shy but is friendly with everyone,and is a little mischievous. Occasionally she will set herself on fire when she's over excited. Loves to make jokes.

Cooper stood in the backyard of his home, trying to teach his sister how to control her fire. It had been a while since his parents had owned the house, they disappeared one night and never returned. That was when Cooper started becoming weary of the other elements, thinking they had something to do with it. He had told Jade that they had just stepped out for a bit, and she believed it quickly. Jade summoned a small bit a fire to her hand and kept it still for a bit, before it flickered out. "I'll never get it right!" She exclaimed, accidentally setting herself on fire. Cooper sighed, this would take a while.

Oliver nodded. "I won't tell, I promise." He told her honestly. Then he continued with his questions. "Is it really big? What does it look like? How come no pony's ever seen it?"

His eyes widened. "I could really see it?" Oliver was excited, but wondered how he would be able to go down so deep into the ocean.

Jade tried holding the fire again, only to have the same results. "Gah! This is impossible!" She yelled. Cooper rolled his eyes and summoned his own fire, keeping it steady in his hand. He walked over to Jade and put the fire in her hand. "There, just try and hold this for a while. " She nodded and focused on nothing but the flame in her hand. "What do the other elements learn to do?" Jade asked her brother curiously. Cooper didn't reply, just looked at the ground. He didn't know the answer, and wasn't sure he wanted to know.

Oliver looked at the seaweed suspiciously for a moment before taking a bite then eating it all. He didn't tell Feather how bad it tasted, in case of hurting her feelings.
