Dreamshade nodded and sat down, her tail tip restlessly twitching on the ground as they waited for Hawkstar and the patrol to return to camp to deal with Rowan. The she-cat was exhausted, but she didn't want to miss this confrontation.

Fuzzypaw settled down next to Dreamshade and groomed the fur on her leg. Her healed foot was still sensitive, probably always would be, and the strain from the amount of running and jumping she had done today had made it sore.

Tanglepaw twitched her whiskers and meowed her agreement. "It really has, that pesky little Whitepaw really caused a lot of trouble," she said, in a matter-of-fact voice.

Dreamshade sat a little ways off to the side, licking her singed fur and the burns underneath. Great StarClan, she thought, still grooming her blackened pelt, if my fur keeps coming off like this, I won't have any left! " Her gaze passed over the Clan every now and then, making sure everyone was still together, trying to take a head count but unable to focus much past the smoke and pain.

"The river flooded far off its banks," the calico birther explained calmly, "the whole camp is flooded completely, but everycat made it out with few injuries," she finished telling Jackal, then looked at the she-cat who had come with him. "Friend of yours?" she asked, flashing a smile to the kitty pet who obviously uncomfortable.

Coalpaw looked at his mentor, surprised that he was awake. "Yeah, The mice are for you and Boundheart. I thought you may be hungry when you woke up," the apprentice purred happily. "But you can have them both. Boundheart probably won't wake up for a while. She's always been a heavy sleeper," he told the larger tom, prodding his sister's side for example.
( I really miss this thread too, lets get it going guys! :D )

Boundheart looked up drowsily from her nest in the warrior's den. The she-cat had just need released from the medicine cats' care, and had reclaimed her usual spot. "Hey Firecloud. How's it looking out there in camp?" the bengal asked, her head flopping back down onto the moss.

Tanglepaw had been listening to Fuzzypaw recount the episode with Rowan. After the silver tabby apprentice finished the story, Tanglepaw just sighed and rolled her eyes. "StarClan knows Hawkstar is probably gonna let her into the Clan." she smiled despite the bite in her words, "He's got a good heart," she finished, licking her younger sisters ear as Fuzzypaw made a scowl about allowing a rogue to join.

Fuzzypaw shook her head in mock annoyance at her sisters gesture, and cuffed Tanglepaw over the ear softly. "Sometimes I wonder though, maybe his hearts too good," she said, smiling as well.

"There's no such thing as too good a heart," Dreamshade butted in on her way to the warriors den. "Shouldn't you two be getting to sleep? Rumor has it that a certain apprentice," the warrior said pointedly about Tanglepaw, "is having her assessment tomorrow. And Fuzzypaw, Timidillusions is going to be upset if you're too tired to train tomorrow. Get to bed, that's where I'm headed," she said, meowing a goodnight to her nieces.

I don't mind it being added! I just don't want to pick it like some people like to. I like it when the leader just names em, like in the books! I like surprises :) those names were great though, I wouldn't mind one of those being her name :D

Dreamshade padded into the warriors den, past the point of exhaustion. The she-cat curled up snug in her nest, the brown tip of her tail touching her nose. To her, it felt as though her meeting with Ashspots that morning had been moons ago, because of all the other excitement of the day. And more excitement come tomorrow, I'm sure, she thought, drifting off to sleep. Her sleep was plagued by nightmares of many angry cats, chasing after her and a certain gray tom. . .

Tanglepaw and Fuzzypaw retired to their den as well, though Tanglepaw stopped to look for Sharppaw. She wanted to spend what would probably be her last night as an apprentice with all of her den-mates, and Sharppaw was the only one missing. She waited for a bit to see where the tom was, sending Fuzzypaw into the den without her.

Boundheart laughed a bit before responding. "I wish I could be out there. I hate not being able to hunt. But I'm glad it's been quiet lately. We certainly don't need anymore foxes! As for how I'm holding up compared to Whitemist I got off easy. I'll be back in action before ya know it," she said, determined to make it happen.

Coalpaw sat outside the medicine cats den, thinking of what to do next. He was an active cat, hates to just sit around. Hopefully Mouseleap can restart my training soon, he thought, wanting to focus on some fox-fighting techniques for sure

    (Ready when y'all are!)

While Dreamshade and Tanglepaw were dreaming soundly, Fuzzypaw hadn't even fallen asleep. It was a long time after her den-mates were taken by slumber that her busy mind was finally ready for sleep.

Dreamshade woke up briefly to see who had awoken already. Seeing that the other warriors were still asleep, she picked her way carefully out of the warriors den. Once outside she padded over to Hawkstar. "Good morning Hawkstar," she greeted, happy about what the day was to bring.

Tanglepaw woke up, fully energized and ready to go. She was tired sure, she had waited up for Sharppaw the night before. But she was hyped. Today was the day, and there was no way she was gonna screw this up. She padded out of the den and stretched, making sure each muscle was ready for her assessment.

Fuzzypaw twitched as she felt the warmth of her sister's pelt disappear. She yawned and nearly got up, but when she noticed that the other apprentices were still asleep, she decided to lay back down for a bit.

(If it works out like that, perhaps. Probably not though. I think we were gonna wait til after the ceremony. Maybe during her vigil she catches a scent and goes to check it and then finds her.)

Dreamshade followed her leaders gaze to Tanglepaw. "She's a brilliant young cat. She'll make a valuable warrior to the Clan. Fuzzypaw too, once she curves that temper of hers," she remarked, almost to herself.

Tanglepaw looked at her mentor with shining eyes, "How could I possibly have slept any longer? My paws are itching to go out and hunt. I have to prove myself, so I got up early to stretch some," she explained. "And when I do pass," she said, voice raising slightly in excitement, " I'll have you to thank Earthfur." Done talking, she hopped suddenly, pawing at a butterfly floating just out of reach. " So when does my assessment start?"

Fuzzypaw slept soundly, having stayed up so late had taken a slight toll on the young she-cat, and her dreams were filled with vivid images of mice and rabbits.

"Aww c'mon Earthfur! You should know you cant keep anything hidden from me, I know things. And, I may or may not have. . .overheard a certain conversation," she said, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes as a gleeful look spread across her features.
