Turning away from the cliff he padded back to the clearing and glanced around, deciding that he would allow the cats to go off and do their own things for now, he still had to much to think about and couldn't properly focus on putting together patrols. Brakenstar padded away from the cats and into his den to settle down in the shade.

Scarpaw's head swiveled towards the sound of the warrior, with his poor hearing everything just seemed distant. He blinked a few times as he looked at Strangesound, trying to quickly process what it was the older tom had asked of him. He shuffled his front paws uneasily and nodded his head "A vole would be fine thank you." He mumbled. Scarpaw hated how he had to be cared for like a true elder now. He looked over his shoulder to his only denmate Fireflower as she rose from her nest, she didn't seem to mind the elder den being so empty at least.

Oakpaw's ears shot up in an instant at the sound of his mentor, turning quickly he bounced over to her with shining eyes "Of course! Though I seem to be the only one," He glanced back around the den for a moment before looking back to Hailfur "Do you have something planned for today already?" The excitement he felt was obvious and he didn't try to hide it.

She let out a hiss of annoyance as Oakpaw began to talk, and rather loudly, with Hailfur. She lifted her head to look at her friend, she loved him to death like he was her littermate but he sure could be annoying. She looked past Oakpaw to the warrior and rose to her paws "Strangesound hasn't been looking for me has he?" She asked with a respectful dip of her head before stretching one leg after the other.

It was the sound of her noisy kits that woke up the queen, Lightclaw lifted her head with a purr as she watched the four tumble around with each other. "This is the earliest I've ever seen you four awake." She chuckled and leaned forward, licking Ashkit's head before standing up "Why don't you go play in the clearing but remember, stay away from the cliff." She suggested before leaving the nursery to find something to eat.

It was Flarekit who had woken up first among the group and was quick to pounce on the others and wake them. Pearlkit had easily pinned down Ashkit while Flarekit and Sandkit were still tumbling around when their mother rose. Ashkit scrambled to his paws, knocking Pearlkit over as Lightclaw suggested going into the clearing "Come on guys last one theirs a mouse-brain!" He called as he took off out of the den with the others hard on his heels.

Oakpaw eagerly followed Hailfur from the den. Seeing her head towards the forest made his paws itch with excitement, he loved being in the forest more than he did the sandy clearing because it reminded him so much of his old home but his training sessions with Hailfur made him realize why he loved it here so much more. The training was harder here than it was in Ivyclan, it required more of your muscles and he loved that.

Flarekit was the last into the clearing but the only one to spot Fireflower. Breaking off from his siblings he padded towards the elder calmly though his pelt tingled with the need to run to her. "Fireflower would you tell me a story?"

"Will I get to climb any?" He asked curiously as he followabout hind her only a whiskers length away from her. Oakpaw wasn't the strongest tree climber but that didn't stop him from trying.

Flarekits tiny paws worked at the ground, his tiny claws flexing as he thought hard about what he wanted to hear about "Oh!" He squeaked suddenly as he remembered a faint story his mother had told them once "I wanna hear about the time you climbed down the cliff without proper training!" He said with a purr as if he were picturing himself making his way down the cliff carefully for the first time.

Robinear had finished her squirrel a while ago and had been sharing tongues with Larkclaw when Shiningstone approached. She let out a purr as her greeting before shaking her head "Nope haven't missed a thing!" She told her cheerfully.

Scarpaw had curled back up in his nest when Fireflower and Flarekit arrived, he didn't say a word to either one, instead watching in silence as the two settled down. He looked up at Strangesound as the warrior returned. "Thank you." He called after him as he left again.

Oakpaw nodded his head eagerly though the she-cat wouldn't be able to see with him being behind her. "When do you think we'll start working on climbing the cliff?" He asked curiously, having heard plenty of stories about how the cats used to do so but had stopped since the death.

Icepaw had been sitting up washing herself when she heard Strange sound calling for her, when she first arrived to this clan the timid tom scarred her but she had long since grown used to the sound of his voice. She nodded her head before standing up and arching her back as she stretched "Alright then, are we going now?" She asked

Ashkit excitedly scampered after the elder, as they entered the den he almost didn't even see Scarpaw, the small elder sent a shiver through the kit, it was was scary to think that could happen to him. He turned away quickly and followed Fireflower to her nest. Meanwhile Pearlkit and the others decided to play a new game, who could stalk the most cats. Pearlkit crept along the sandy floor towards Shiningstone and the two warriors. When she was close the kit pounced, hoping to sink her tiny claws in the medicine cats tail.

Robinear quickly shook her head "we wouldn't mind at all, the company would be great!" She purred to her friend as Thornfang approached. She could feel Larkclaws tail tip twitching beside her but her friend remained quiet. "Of course not Thornfang, the more to carry the prey the better!"

The disdain at the fact that the tom was tagging along with them was obvious as Larkclaw rose to her paws, her movements where tense. She didn't ask him not to come though as Robinear did have a good point.

Pearlkit looked up at Amberpaw and glanced at her siblings "Yeah, a very important." A purr rumbled in her chest as her siblings padded to her side but it was Sandkit who gave the signal "Attack!!" She yowled and just like that the three kits launched themselves at Amberpaw with their claws sheathed since they didn't want to get in trouble.

Purring excitedly she nodded her head "As long as we can stay quiet in the forest too." She said jokingly as she motioned for them to move along. They padded past the kits and Amberpaw, Robinear looked over her shoulder to Larkclaw and Thornfang "You know, only a few more moons until they are apprenticed, do you think you guys will be mentors this time?" She asked curiously hoping to spark a conversation between the two.

As Larkclaw padded behind her friend she watched the kits and apprentice. She knew what Robinear would ask her before she did. "Perhaps." Her mew was quiet as she watched the three kits with a look of longing, she couldn't wait to have an apprentice.

Squealing with excitement the three kits took off running but it wasn't long before Ashkit whirled around, his fluffy fur sticking out making him look at though he had eaten one to many mice that day. "Stay away from our camp intruder!" He yowled as he jumped at the larger tom in hopes to distract him as Sandkit and Pearlkit swung around and snuck behind him. Both she-kits lunged forward in hopes to either get his tail or paws.

Accepted Identity, I will have Coldpaw's mentor be Brakenstar, currently everyone in camp is just beginning to stir and everyone is doing their own things, a few warriors are going hunting, some apprentices are training with their mentors and the kits are playing around.

Exiting his den the leader spotted his apprentice Coldpaw and padded her way, he decides he would appoint the deputy later in the day when the sun was setting. Perking his ears he sat down in front of her. "Have you gotten anything to eat yet? If not I'd do it now everyone else has gone out to hunt so now would be a good time to do a bit of battle training." He murmured softly and turned his head towards Bluepaw "Bluepaw Robinear is out hunting so I want you to come with me and Coldpaw to train for a while."

Oakpaw flexed his claws, sinking them into the soft earth as they walked. "I'm going to be the best hunter in the clan." He vowed proudly, his tail sticking straight up in the air as he padded along with his head raised confidently.

Flarekit didn't give the elder time to tell her story before he launched himself into questions. "Do you remember what fish tastes like? Is it really slimy? Will we get to climb the cliff? When will Brakenstar teach us how again?" His questions rambled on until he ended with a rather raw question. "Why hasn't Brakenstar appointed a new deputy? Lightclaw won't tell." His new was a lot gentler as he knew just a bit of the death of the previous deputy.

Moon looked up as Lupin entered the den to drop off a chicken hen then turn and guard the entrance though even with her ears perked she barely heard his question. She stood up and padded over to his side to sit beside him "Ivy has gone missing again and I asked Viper to go find her, Akira had left camp not to long ago to find herbs no doubt." She reported to her mate, other than that she had nothing else to say.

Unable to hunt anything large on her own Ivy resigned to trek back through the forest to gather her prey and head back a bit reluctantly, she didn't wish to be around the others at the moment, she was enjoying the peace.

The scents of the others made it nearly impossible to fall back asleep. He angrily left the den and exited the camp as Lupin entered, his dipped his head to the alpha and trotted into the forest following the faint scent trail of his sister.[/align]

Scarpaw listened to the kit and elder with little interest until the deputy was mentioned, he had been his mentor until Scarpaw was confined to the elders den. Besides Brakenstar Scarpaw had grieved the most. Through slitted eyes he watched the kit shift around like he had fleas in his pelt and could practically tell what he was about to ask but Scarpaw cut him off. "If she said she didn't know then she didn't know! There's no point in pestering her!" He hiss angrily though in truth he just didn't want to hear anymore on the subject.

He peered up at his mentor as she leaned close to whisper to him, his tail froze in the air to keep from brushing against anything as he lowered his body slightly and barely opened his mouth, taking in the scents. "Robins....Mice....Squirrel" He kept his voice low as he named off what he could scent before his whole body grew rigid with excitement. "Rabbit!" he hissed and looked to Hailfur to see if she would let him hunt down the quick moving prey.

Icepaw let out a gentle sigh and lightly nudged him with her shoulder "Yeah I know." She murmured as they entered the foliage. Her ears instantly perked up, drawing her tongue over her maw before opening her mouth to scent the air as they continued to walk, already she could scent the mice, squirrels, sparrows, and so much more.

Flarekit instantly snapped his mouth shut when she told him to slow down, letting out a tiny squeak of apology before listening closely, taking obvious note of how the elder seemed to grow a bit reluctant to share the news of their deputy's death. He opened his tiny mouth again as if to insist on being told what happened but the sharp hiss from Scarpaw caused him to keep quiet. "Sorry, um t-thank you Fireflower!" He squeaked before turning and pelting out of the den.

He nodded his head quickly before slinking off into the under growth, keeping his pace quick and his steps quiet as he headed off in the direction of the prey. Even though he told his mentor he would give up if it looked as though the rabbit would get away he wasn't going to be able to give up that easily, after all Icepaw had already caught four rabbits since their time here in Foamclan and he hadn't even come close to one, not like this. The further from his mentor he got the more he couldn't help but feel lonely, it was strange being by himself but he couldn't allow his mind to wander now, he could hear the rabbit eating. Sliding up to a patch of ferns to hide in their shadows he spotted the fat thing sitting on its haunches chewing on a piece of grass. The tom unsheathed his claws and took only a few more paces forward until the rabbit froze and sat up straight, Oakpaw hissed angrily and lunged forward, barely hooking the rabbits fluffy tail in his claws and bringing it back to him to bite it's neck to kill it quickly.

Oakpaw turned around quickly to look up at Hailfur and set his rabbit down "thank you." he answered awkwardly, he didn't believe it was a good catch but if his mentor said so then it must be so! He nodded eagerly and trotted to a nearby tree, scrapping leaves and twigs over his rabbit to hide it so they could continue to hunt. "Okay what next?"
