After what seemed like hours the shooting finally stopped, the screams stopped too. Cody was on his hands and knees staring at his gun panting as if he had just ran a marathon. Tears streaming down his face, his hands violently shaking.

All Cody could do was nod, in the middle of the mass was Ace who stood out easily with her blonde hair, she had been trying to hold off the zombie on her and Cody was too scared to shoot it and it resulted in her being bit. Cody knew what followed, he had seen it, he had to shoot his best friend too.

Cody wiped his eyes before grabbing his gun and staggering to his feet. His eyes drifted to Katie as she ran towards them. The gun rose to his shoulder as he walked towards her "You, you had a knife. You could have helped!" He growled angrily "She said to stay put but you didn't listen to her, you ran leaving just the two of us to face ten!" He snarled, his voice rising as he walked closer "If you had listened you could have helped her! She was pinned and I couldn't do anything about it but she would still be alive if you had listened!!" He yelled. His finger moved a bit, clicking the safety off "This is a world of survival now, if you don't listen people die and its your fault. Theres no laws to protect you now." He snared, the threat obviously there

"They would be safe if you had listened! Ace knows what she was doing you b*tch!" He yelled "If your in a group you surround the young to make sure their safe not f-ing split up and leave two alone to fight ten!" He yelled, not lowering the gun at all though his voice lowered and his eyes narrowed "try having to shoot your girlfriend who was pregnant with your baby!!" he hissed, the gun shaking a bit. "I don't know you, but I will find you, and I will kill you I don't know what your like, but because of your stupidity Ace is dead." He said though he was talking more to himself like he was trying to get himself to believe she was gone "Where are the girls?" He asked, the gun still raised. Hearing Nixon he looked down to the boy "Because when she yelled for everyone to stay put, the only other person with a weapon who could have helped ran away like a coward." He said flatly

"YOU THINK I DIDN'T TRY?!" He yelled with a laugh "I can't shoot a f*cking zombie that's right on top of her with out killing her too!" He growled "I shot every zombie and if you had been here you could have saved her from the one on her!" He explained, his blood boiling "Yeah I admit I made a mistake by firing in the first place but you LEFT us! Even if she hadn't yelled it you should have had the knowledge to stay and help us!" He yelled before lowering the gun just a bit "Where are the girls? Ace made a promise to them and I'm going to keep it." He said flatly.

(Is that possible without finding a cure?)

"So you just kept going instead of bringing them back." He said simply with a shrug "Yep that's some good knowledge right there." He scoffed "Stop changing the subject! Where are they?!" he snapped

Having done track when he was in high school as well as soccer he followed her easily even with all his supplies on his back "Lady, woman, girl, whatever, where are the girls?! Ace promised them something and I'm keeping that promise and this flimsy door won't stop me from that!" He said firmly

"D*mn!" He hissed and using the butt of the gun broke the window and climbed in, seeing her get bit he knew what was to come and pulled the gun up as he ran to the girls and stood between them and her. He didn't shoot her though, she didn't seem like a zombie.

Cody stared at her for a moment before blinked, okay he was hearing things now. Putting the gun over his shoulder between two bags and on the third he turned to the girls "We need to find some where to stay for the night and I need to tell you something." He said softly, though he was talking more to Victoria since she was older

Cody turned back around "Don't that just because your alive means I'll let you have some of my stuff." He scoffed.

"You don't know Ace so don't say that!" He snarled and looked back at the two girls "Don't listen to her she doesn't know what shes talking about, no we wont and its going to be us three. I don't want someone I can't trust following us around." he said simply as if it was no problem at all. "I mean unless you girls would rather go with her, sleep in a tree and starve to death." He said to them though he was glaring at Katie since his bags where filled with food and he had a gun while she had a knife. If the two got into a fight it was obvious who would win.

"What was up with you and that girl in the hall?" She asked curiously "What's your relationship with her?" She asked and looked back at Jameson as she jumped up

"Your right, you didn't twist the story, except you could have helped her, she was my sister, how do you think i feel?" He asked, his voice surprisingly even. With a shrug he looked to Victoria "Ace promised to help you find your mother and if you want to stay with her thats fine but I wont." He said simply with a shrug heading for the door he unlocked it and opened it up, turning to Katie "When they start getting dehydrated because your not smart enough to find water, don't find me." He said and slipped out before slamming the door behind him and walking down the side walk

Glancing over to Claire then to Jameson she looked back to Liam, she was only asking this for her friend and her own curiosity really. Thinking carefully she leaned back "Whats is or was your relationship with her?" She asked

Jameson clenched her jaw, her olive eyes on him while she mentally blew his head off "It's Jameson, not James." She growled as if that was what she was mad about

"She would think I'm being me, stop f-ing using her to try anf get me to do something!" he hissed, not wanting to be too loud "Thats a d*ck move." He snapped

"I don't care if its smart or not, I refuse to be anywhere near you, simple as that." He said with a shrug and started walking, shifting the bags on his shoulders as he did

Cody scoffed lightly not even bothering to make a come back, she wasn't worth the air.

Victoria rubbed the back of her neck, she didn't want them to start fighting again. "okay theen...." She said slowly "Um your turn Liam." She said quickly hoping he wouldn't respond to Jameson

Jameson Scoffed as she bit down hard on her tongue, angrily sitting back down "Family differences? Thats not what you said to me!" She practically laughed though there wasn't a smile on her face.

Cody shrugged "Ace never said anything about dragging others along, she promised to help them find their mom. I want to keep that promise, i really do, but i don't want to drag others along with me." He said, turning around to face her "I'm also not going to waste my supplies on someone who can't fend for themselves." He said with a smile that he would give to anyone when he was in a bad mood.
