    FINNY I HAVE THE BEST CHARACTER FOR YOUR THREAD. Essentially she's going to be this crazy, hood girl who came to America from Guatemala at sixteen and worked her butt off to get into medical school, get through medical school, and get this internship, and she had to make lots of questionable choices in the process. She doesn't take any crap from anybody and still struggles with her English a bit (she's been learning for two years now), but is still a potty-mouthed goofball, low-key hoe, and an absolute hardworking genius at heart.
    She's loosely based off of the TV Personality and Musician Cardi B incase you wanted to know. Not loosely at all, this character will essentially be Cardi B as a hospital intern.
    I'm so excited. She's going to be the sweetest little ball of crazy, goofy, and genius anyone's ever seen.

    HISTORY ★ Cardina Bellanova was born into a family of poor farmers in the outskirts of Guatemala City. Her mother and father were very loving and did as much as they could for Cardi and all of their children, but sadly poverty took a toll on them. By the time Cardi was six, she and her family went from living in a cabin farming independently to living in the shack of a rich white family, farming their lands for them. However, the rich family was as kind as they could be to Cardi's family, and they allowed her to go to a schoolhouse four days a week.
    It was just a washed up shack where thirty kids from poor farming families just like her crowded around one teacher to learn anything they could, who was an angel on Earth to these children, but especially Cardi. She saw something special in Cardi, and always kept her one step ahead of the other students. This teacher was named Mrs. Iliana and Cardi absolutely loved her. She was a great teacher, who took her time and genuinely cared for all her students, but saw the spark in Cardina's eye. Cardi learned how to read and write (in Spanish) and began to excel with her math and science.
    Just as things were looking bright for the little farmer girl, when Cardi was twelve, her sister, Bertha, sixteen at the time, got involved in prostitution, which eventually got her tangled up into sex trafficking. Bertha disappeared and left nothing but some money and a note explaining how men had told her she was going to be a star, they were going to save her from the unfair life of a poor farmer. Cardina never heard from her sister again and this whole situation left her family shaken for quite a long time.
    Cardi continued to farm three days a week, learn four, until Cardi hit fourteen and was moved over to another schoolhouse. Cardi was slightly upset that she wouldn't get to be with Mrs. Iliana anymore but then she learned that the schoolhouse she was in was a specialized program funded by an American organization. This program sought to give hardworking, poor kids a good education and hopefully a successful life. This is where Cardi started learning about biology and her interest in becoming a doctor one day sparked tremendously.
    One fateful day, when Cardi was sixteen, Cardi was going around the house of the rich family her family worked for and cleaning it up. The rich family was impressed by the progress Cardi was making with her education, and decided to let her and her family move into the house and work inside as maids. While cleaning, Cardi heard a strange sound and the scream of the father of the family she worked for. She came running. She discovered the man on the floor. It appeared he had fallen and impaled himself with a pen. He was surrounded by panicking maids, all who were wondering what to do. Cardi took the knowledge she had gained from the computers at school and got to work. The maids wanted to remove the pen immediately. Cardi saw the pen was lodged near his heart and knew that wasn't a good idea. She had one of the maids call an ambulance while she pushed down and up on the man's back, helping him to keep breathing. Eventually the ambulance showed up and took care of the rest.
    After this incident, the man Cardi worked for was hysterically happy and spent a fortune on Cardi, sending her all the way to America and paying her way through medical school. The man claimed she was an angel, something you don't see everyday among poor farmers. Cardi was credulous, and she was finally being recognized for it. Cardi did her best to keep herself out of trouble while in New York, the place she was attending college, but failed terribly. Despite the trouble, she still made her way through college flawlessly and, though a bunch of circumstances, found herself here as an intern at Seattle Grace Hospital, about 90% into her English learning, and 100% determined to make her childhood dream of becoming a doctor come true.

    @tomlindone yes, you're right. they're both hot headed but clash in other departments. that never works well. i can imagine some turmoil and anger between them at times.
