Circuitpaw narrowed her hazel-green optics at the stranger, the scent on the cat's pelt reminding her more of danger than of home. Calculations flooded her mind as she desperately tried to put two and two together - who was he? Where had he come from? What was he doing? No normal cat would just sit down and start chatting with kittens. He could be a murderer, for he carried no recognizable scent they could track him by, or possibly a rogue who was trying to infiltrate the clan - yes! Yes! That could be why he was trying to be friendly with the kits - if he was nice, then they wouldn't run screaming! And then, if he took over the clan... No, no, she was taking that thought too far. The tabby shook her head.
But the air he carried with him was not menacing, not all-powerful and confidence crushing. He was sly, perfectly collected and calm as he seated himself amongst the others. Her trust waned.
"Very dangerous, as well." she added, casting a wayward glance at Chinabelle, then slowly shifting her gaze to the others. Her orbs came to rest on the stranger, and they narrowed as she gave a disgusted grimace. Unlike her oblivious clanmates, she wouldn't take his excuses. "I don't trust you, miscreant. Explain yourself in full."
