A gust of wind brought a small pelt of rain into their den, causing Willowpaw to shake fiercely. Nightpaw poked his head into the den, "Hey, you four. Would you like to help Wetpaw and I clean the elders' nests?"

Owlpaw, Willowpaw, and Adderpaw followed Nightpaw out of the den all the way to the Elders' den. Wetpaw had already dragged all the old nests out, and was constantly shaking her fer from the water.

Dogfang padded over, "Hello." She nodded her head to Orangefur, then turned to the apprentices, "Nightpaw?"
Her son raised his head, and she continued, "You, Wetpaw, Featherpaw, and Adderpaw will be joining your mentors on a scout to the edge of our borders. Your first assignment, albeit a bit early, is to make sure no other strange cats are trying to make their homes around our border without us knowing it."

Nightpaw followed close behind Cloudwhisker as she led the way out of camp. Redgaze gently nudged both Wetpaw and Adderpaw through the entrance as Raven dashed ahead to catch up with Nightpaw and Cloudwhisker.
Owlpaw wrinkled his nose, "Well, I guess Willowpaw and I'll finish this up."
