the chocolate smoke had gone much too inactive. she didn't know most of her new clanmates, other than grandpa and those other few. and now, even her grandfather wasn't the same grandfather as before. ben was now the leader - but at least martin was still good ole martin. goodness, there had been a lot of change over the past couple moons.

flicking a snow-tipped tail, the starclan-devoted kitten poked her head into the medic's den. it always smelled nice in here, the bad scents mingled with rosemary and honey. she knew that this was never going to change, even after the many movings she had gone through. it gave her good memories of mom. oh, where had mamma gone after everything?

churchkit padded over, confused as to what kind of "training" this was. now, she wasn't usually one to speak out against these tomfooleries, this one just made no sense. pah!

it was this one. the one with the unholy name. the one that had demonic parents who could probably care less about the loving creator. sometimes the chocolate smoke had to question her world's logic. what ever happened to the days were starclan was the most important force in the universe?

"what's wrong?"

"is starclan finally showing what a mistake your name is?" was something that churchkit would have liked to say, but that was a sin to insult freely. no way was she going to make an error like that. her siblings got to be angels -unfair, of course- and she was certainly not letting go of that. the windclanner would prove how great of an angel she would have been, and sinning wasn't going to get her any closer to that goal.[/fancypost]

needless to say, churchy was utterly shocked at the sight of these bear cubs. young or not, bears were scary, murderous machines. was this a sigh from starclan?

narrowing her eyes at the bear cub -which felt scary, actually- churchkit looked over to the younger kitten. this little one at least had a reason to be asking stupid questions. sighing, the chocolate smoke responded to morningcoffee's son.

"a nightmare is like a bad dream. they occasionally will be caused by starclan as a sign of danger, though they usually are just regular nightmares. nothing to worry about, most of the time."

taking daypaw's word like they were a delicious batch of cookie-dough, churchkit quickly ducked behind her older clanmates. goodness, so young and adorable, yet so terrifying. would their mother arrive soon? what would happen then? should that happen, what would the chocolate smoke do? fight? flee?
