morninpaw smiled slightly and slipped away to leave the elders to eat in peace. she ran back into the forest, her breath coming out in measured puffs. she grabbed the mice for sorrelwhisker and hazelpaw. she returned to camp, her muscles smoothing over her fluffy pelt. she skidded to a stop next the medicine cat's den. seeing that they were not there, she tucked one mice each into their nests, a welcome gift for sure. her smile grew to a grin. she winked at duskclaw, a happy gesture.
she fled back to the forest, once again, grabbing the squirrel for everpaw. the apprentice was no where insight so the apprentice tucked the sparrow in everpaw's nest, her soft breath sure to leave her scent. everpaw would know who it was from, that she-cat had a nose like a dog.
by the time she returned to her prey bush, tiredness was already seeping into her bones. she shook the sleep out of her eyes as she made the last delivery. for flintstar and her mentor. the sparrow and squirrel. she approached her leader shyly, as if unsure. she dropped the sparrow at his black paws. "uhmmm, flintstar, i thought you might like something to eat, it must be hard, all these loners getting into the clan and hazelpaw's apprenticeship in a whole day..." her mouth twisted up into an irresistible smile.

morning paw found herself nodding along in agreement. "flintstar, i understand your concern. but all that training is lost if your leader isn't healthy. how about you worry later and eat this for now?" she commented wisely, prodding the still warm sparrow toward her leader. the movement provoked a warm smeel to emmit from the bird that reminded her of the meal she was going to share with her mentor after conferring with the leader. in truth, she was worried about the strain of leadership flintstar was going through but knee not to bluntly voice her concerns to worry her leader more. instead she put up the face of a eager apprentice, convincing the leader to eat her catch of the day. She stifled a sigh on flinstar's behalf.

morningpaw's eyes flickered around to diamondpaw briefly. she gave a small smile to the apprentice. she hadn't really talked to her. then again, she never really talked to anyone. she returned her serious gaze on her leader, tilting her head sideways, giving her a lopsided look.
