At one point the dream had begun to simply repeat over and over again until Chandler had gotten an odd, icy chill feeling. Like last time, he awoke slowly, slightly confused about how he managed to move to the corner in his sleep, but he was awake. He sat up and stretched his arms a little, still feeling slightly weak from earlier when he noticed that the others were gone, but didn't think anything of it.

Looks like the whole team's back...What was up with that dream? It was basically the same as the one I had last night.... Chandler thought as they walked in, getting up off the floor and stretching a little more."Do I want to know...?" He said sarcastically, looking around to try and figure out how long he was asleep for. Didn't seem like long, that's for sure. He was still thinking about the dream, wondering what the shards of stone he had seen actually were. At the same time, he suspected that he would find out the next time he slept.
-
"Trust me, I've seen it." Chandler joked with on last yawn."Where'd you guys find him?" He asked calmly, pushing back the thought of asking them how they lost a man carrying a sword around on a ship.
-
"It might not seem like it, but its a pretty quiet place to calm down...." Chandler started, then snapped back out of his thoughts."...Not like I'm defending him or anything." He added on with a slight awkward laugh."I hope someone wasn't planning on blowing up the engines," He said quietly, glaring over at Kai.
-
Chandler stayed quiet now, continuing to stare down the once Aegislash. Chandler never did trust him too much, even as a Pokemon. It was competition to him to be fully honest. I've got my eye on you...Master swordsman...Make a move, I dare you. Chandler thought. But still, why the engine room?
-
"Well, as long as there's nobody else I need to hypnotize today, I guess its fine." Chandler muttered, glancing out the window. The sun seemed to be going down slowly, so he figured that it'd be nice outside...And that he should excuse himself for getting everyone organized in the one room."I'm gonna go sit on the starboard balcony if anyone needs me." He said calmly, walking out into the hallway with silent footsteps and shutting the door behind him.
~Time-skip to after the ship voyage?~
-
It had been an interesting few days on the ship for Chandler, who had been lucky enough to avoid using his powers and recover a bit from the first two days. At one point, he had almost had a panic attack after nearly being bumped over the railing from his 'quiet spot' and into the water below, but he wouldn't want to admit it. He rushed off the ship and onto land, letting out a sigh of relief as he plucked some grass from the ground and letting it blow through the breeze. It took a moment for him to realize how he was acting before going back to his normal self an returning to Alina."Hello Haku. Looks like you grew a bit since last time." He greeted, thinking it would be best to get it out of the way. In the back of his head he was preparing for a surprise attack from Rose.
-
So that spirit is human now too? Arceus give me a break for once! Chandler thought, as if suddenly everything slowed down for him for a moment so he could let everything go through his head before replying. Well, at least he wouldn't have to deal with Rose until they would arrive at Lavender town. Chandler simply nodded before responding."Not exactly what I would've wished for. Its been interesting, that's for sure." He said quietly, glancing over at Alina for a moment, still thinking. So much for having Haku's Chandelure dragging him away from Rose. He wanted to ask her if she was told what Shadow's 'gift' was, but he decided against it as the answer was probably no.
-
Chandler nodded as well, looking around the small town for a moment."There's Dusty and Reggie, then Kai and Bloomace." He said quickly, pointing to each 'pair' as he said their names."Now if you don't mind Alina, I'm gonna go thank Arceus for letting us be on solid land again." He said with a sarcastic tone, but sometimes it was difficult to tell with him. He really meant that he was going to quickly take a walk around the town to see if anything had changed since last time....And look for more berries.
-
"Don't try to push your chances. Probability is yes, yes it will...And it was three people." Chandler said before starting his walk around the town, starting towards the boundary between the town and the forest. All the houses looked fairly the same, not like they ever really changed. He did manage to find a berry tree quickly, but sadly the berries weren't quite ripe yet. The whole ship trip other than the first day was boring for him, well, except the whole 'nearly being pushed off' thing that he refused to talk about, because he had to restrict the use of his powers. On top of that he kept having the same reoccurring dream after deciding to actually sleep like a normal person for once, like that went well.
-
Chandler was almost done checking everything out, after all it was a small town. He decided that it would probably be best to leave the lab out of it. A scientist would probably find it more than interesting if somehow a pokemon was turned into a human, especially Oak. He instead went off into the treeline to the forest to see if he could find any more of Kanto's native pokemon that he hadn't seen in a year.
-
Nothing....Guess I can't blame them, after all, with a whole town of people around...Chandler's search came up empty. There were no wild Pokemon in sight and only one or two trainers along the way. Pallet town really was a quiet place after all. Oh well, back to Alina and Haku. Better enjoy his free time while he can. Who knows, maybe they'll need to light something on fire?
-
Where oh where might they...Be...Ah, over there. Chandler wandered around, looking for the group for a few minutes before finding Alina, who seemed to be there for almost no reason other than Haku. That was the only word that was needed in this situation; Haku. He walked out from behind some trees, sadly no berries in hand."Alina, Yukari, I'm back. The others shouldn't take long either, but who knows." He said before walking up towards the girl and the Absol. He stretched his arms a little, taking a moment to enjoy the fresh non-ocean water air.
-
"Not even a little..." Chandler mumbled in disappointment. "The few trees that I found had no ripe berries yet...They had all either been eaten or were still growing." He finished with a sigh before taking a quick look around. He was tempted to light a flame, but with all the tall grass around it wouldn't be a good idea.
-
"Just...No..." Chandler said, a little surprised that she brought Rose up so soon. Then again, a lot was different this time around."I'll find something along the way, I'd rather not have to resort to that." He said in reply."Besides, human or not, someone's got to take care of Shadow if he tries to pull anything, and I'd rather have a berry or two before having to do that without blacking out." He muttered, in a way looking forward to it. Knowing what had happened to them, his power would be effected as well. Although knowing their luck, probably not.
-
"I know I know....Hey...Now that he has a permanent body and everything, don't you think he shouldn't be able to possess people anymore?" Chandler said, thinking for a moment before shaking his head."Never mind, don't answer that. Stupid question." He said, then turned to the tall grass and cupped his hands over his mouth."Everyone still alive in there?" He said before returning his hands to his pockets."But...If you don't mid me asking, Alina...What does it feel like? I've never been, obviously, but...Well, I don't think I immediately turned into a litwick, lets just say that."
-
"That's harsh," Chandler said, rubbing the back of his neck."Kinda sounds like what happens to me after I use my fire lately." He muttered half to himself before sitting down in the grass."Except I'm not possessed. Maybe if we figure out how typing effects this whole human thing, we might get a little more insight." He shrugged a little, pushing the thought into the back of his mind.
-
"Good as a guess as mine. All I know for sure is that this began when I became human." Chandler said in reply with a deep breath."But my guess might be a little bit more...Otherworldly, might be the word. Litwick, Lampent, Chandelure....Our flames run off the life force of others and ourselves in the wild...In other words, power from souls allows us to fuel our fires." He lit a flame in the air, an ember, making sure not to let any ashes burn off into the grass."The more fuel there is, the more powerful we can make the flames. When we burn souls, remnants tend to wander around, and the life force goes to us. My idea is basically the same." The small ember quickly increased into a ball of purple fire before fizzling out a moment later."I can't withstand it yet. Like something is missing..." He snapped back to reality and realized how idiotic he sounded before letting out an awkward little laugh."Well, it doesn't matter as long as I find some way to keep from passing out on you again."
-
"And just so you know, just because I'm out cold...Doesn't mean I can't hear anything." Chandler said with a light laugh."Because even with Bloomace's torment, I appreciate it....That you worry about me-well, everyone, so much. Not to mention you're the only person crazy enough to have a team of ghosts. I'll just try to keep from using my powers too much for now." He said with a slight sincere tone in his voice."....But no promises."
-
"I admit that I have my moments," Chandler said with a nervous laugh."But it all works out in the end. Wouldn't have it any other way. Even with the troublemakers runnin around, it gives me something to do." He said jokingly, looking up at the sky and into the clouds."Zeek's getting better though, and Raggie is starting to get the hang of everything as well. Looks like I'll have more competition here...Maybe just a little. Speaking of, it got kinda quiet in there." He said, tilting his head a little to the tall grass ahead of them.
