Oh, mystical beings from above, why is this so? What have we done to deserve such cruelty?" Her tone drips sarcasm and bitterness. "Apologies," the kitten says with a sigh. "I'll be excused now."

    Dee stands without saying a word, padding after her brother with silent pawsteps. The feline wonders why they cannot speak to Frost, truly curious and a bit outraged she cannot have free will. Shouldn't she be able to choose who she does and doesn't talk to? It's ridiculous.
