in said game, you were free to be anything you desired to be. if you wanted to be a god, you could be a god. if you wanted to be some simple fisherman, that was possible, too. the game was meant to be for all ages, so there were quite a few classes to chose from, each with their own set of skills. and, more importantly, to beat the game, all you had to do was clear all fifty floors, and claim the demon blade on the top floor of the dark castle. but...even this game had a darker side.
kazuto stared at his computer screen, eyes wide. there, right in front of him, on the front page of "mmo daily," was a full article about a new game called demon blade online. he'd read through the article a few times, and, he had to admit, the game sounded quite interesting, but he was still unsure of this game's intentons. sure, no one would have the guts to release another death game after sword art online, thought kazuto couldn't help but think. 'what if...no...i hope not...' shaking his head, the boy took out his phone, going through the contacts on his phone until he found one labeled "asuna yukki." he clicked it, opening a blank message box. letting out a sigh, he typed a quick message into the box: have you heard about the new game?
rei stared at his nervegear, then down at the video game case, then back at his nervegear. 'do i really want to?' he asked himself, running his finger over the plastic wrapping on the case. 'i mean, there's nothing wrong with being a bookworm, despite what all of my friends say. i don't have to play...' releasing a sigh, the boy gently ripped open the plastic on the case with his fingernail, opening it and peering inside. there it was -- a black disk, labeled with the game's title in white letters. rei took the disk out of its case, sliding in the slot of his nervegear. then, of course, he slid the helmet-like thing over his head, and murmured, "link start."
[ i hope this is okay. it took so long to make. ;A; ]
