[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Massive paws made their way along the very edges of Hawkclan's border. Ever since the move to their new territory, Blackjack had been doing his best to get accustomed to the mountainous region. However, he'd be lying if he said he didn't miss the sequoia forest. After all, it was where all of his important life events happened.

His mind quickly snapped back into reality as he heard two voices. One, unfamiliar. Feminine-sounding, if he had to guess. And then a familiar one - he recognized it right off the bat as Splitsecond's voice. Curious, Blackjack trotted over to the duo. Once he reached them, his dull fellow eyes trained on Anastasia as he sat down.

    "I'm Blackjack."

It would be odd, now, having another big cat in Hawkclan. Generally, the place was made up of lions, but... now a tiger would be among them as well. Perhaps he could no longer say that his home really was made up of maned beasts as all of his children disappeared and Jazzband was gone. Nonetheless, it would be interesting to see how everything worked out between these two. Blackjack was positive he'd seen a tiger in his entire life. Yes... interesting indeed.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]He was momentarily broken from his trance as an all-too-familiar voice intruded his ears. Giving a soft sigh, he turned towards the chief with sadness in his dull yellow eyes. He wished that they could go march up to this 'Starclan' and kill 'em all. The only problem with that was that they were already dead.

"... no. I suppose I will be, though." The tone in his voice was solemn as he looked over to Egretstar. "I'd rather not leave. I love... I love this place. I don't want to leave."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Dull yellow eyes scanned over those present as he walked over. Blackjack was able to catch tidbits of the conversation and was able to put two and two together: Shadowclan was looking for one of their captured members.

"What is their name?" He asked towards the Sadowclanners, his fur beginning to bristle. He was not sure how his clanmates could just sit there and offer apologies for one of their enemies being captured. If anything, Blackjack would have thought they'd be chasing the Shadowclanners off of their new territory. After all, how many Hawkclanners had their enemy captured? His homeplace wouldn't go marching around and asking for them back. Nobody in their sane mind would give a prisoner up.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]"Hawkclan, meetin'!"

Blackjack felt as though he'd not experienced a meeting in a while. It seemed like years ago, now, that he last attended a meeting. Giving a short sigh, the lion trotted over and listened to the chief speak. So... Egretstar wanted to send out a patrol to scout out their new territory. He still felt uneasy about venturing into someplace new, but he supposed it would not be long before the old territory was out of his mind. He felt bittersweet moving into a new place, as he knew the sequoia forest like the back of his paw. Kururi was also demoted; he, like the vulture, was beginning to grow accustomed to her being head aviator. Ah, not anymore. And then... the promotions. Twilighttown and himself were promoted to aviators, while Splitsecond and Travelpassion had the choice to step up as either aviator trainee or apothecary trainee. Immediately, he predicted that the brown tabby would choose to become an aviator trainee, while Travelpassion would go down the medicine path. And, yes... it was about damn time that Hawkclan had a medic. They needed one badly.

"Thank you, Egretstar," he said softly to the vulture. "Er... congratulations to everybody else." The newly-promoted aviator had to force this part out - he was not too happy about Twilighttown being promoted to aviator alongside him. She was mentally unstable. Shit, she tried to commit suicide not too long ago. Erasing his mind from the thoughts of the fox, he would continue to speak. "I can volunteer for the patrol. May be nice to have more than one as well, just to get a lay of the land."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]"I'll go and get Thunderclan, then," the lion said as he swiftly made his appearance. An angry scowl was upon his face - Shadowclan had dared to attack them not once, but twice in the past couple of weeks. It was time for payback.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Well, it was all shits and giggles here now, wasn't it?

An angry aura surrounded the newly-promoted aviator. He flexed his claws against the soft earth as he stalked towards his fighting clanmates and their enemies. Hawkclan had been picked on long enough, and Blackjack thought it was about damn time that they received the recognition that they once had. Dull yellow eyes grazed the battle field swiftly before they fell upon Mintbubbles. A soft chuckle hit the male - this would be an easy battle for him.

He lunged out and attempted to swipe the girl in the side with thick, sharpened claws.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]An angry-looking lion stomped towards the center of Thunderclan's camp. He ignored anybody who tried to tell him to stop and pushed anybody that was in his way out. Blackjack was fucking pissed at Shadowclan - they'd done damage to Hawkclan and their allies long enough, and he figured it was time for payback.

"Hello," he started, teeth grinding together. "I'm Blackjack, from Hawkclan - and we've decided to launch a raid against Shadowclan. If you - any of you could help us out, it'd be extremely appreciated."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]A frown crossed over the aging lion's jaw as he approached and read the list of clans who would (possibly) be attending Stellarclan's cookout.

"We should not attend." It was as simple as those four words, really. Unfortunately, no clans on the list but Shadowclan posed a problem - which was what made Blackjack slightly upset. He would have otherwise been very happy to attend such events, but interfering with enemies on any sort of level could possibly cause for a dispute. In addition, with the few recent raids that Hawkclan had hosted on Shadowclan, and vice versa, his home-place's warriors were not apt to fight. It would simply be the wiser decision not to attend.

    // S O R R Y haha i'm sure i've had lots of run-on sentences in this post but it's late n i'm tired oops

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;]

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Blackjack would be the next to appear besides Quickfire and Quantum. He had to admit, he was curious about the loner on the border. He hoped that his size didn't scare of the ivory-colored feline.

// mm shit post i'm sorry

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]The large beast wondered what this... competition was. Blackjack had to admit that he'd not been as active around HawkClan as he would have liked to lately. He had still be getting over their moving to a new territory... it was all so weird for him. He felt uncomfortable in the setting. However, perhaps a competition would be able to get his activity back up - so he trotted over and waited to see which team would choose him.

// applying to participate in competition

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Ah. Good to see HawkClanners out and about.

The aviator walked over and sat next to Bitterblue. He remembered the girl from a few weeks ago, and though he had never spoken with her, he thought she would be a good friend. However, his full attention was trained on Travelpassion. Of course he wanted a way to bond with his clanmates! So he waited for the dog to pick who would be the first recipient of a truth or dare.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Blackjack pondered over the question for a moment. What did he want - truth or dare? Although dares made him seem a bit more daring, truths allowed his clanmates to find out information and therefore be connected to him in better ways... ah, shit. He wished somebody could have picked for him.

"Truth," he responded towards Travelpassion, a small smile igniting on his face. He could only hope that the aviator trainee wouldn't give him anything too inappropriate. After all, there was an apprentice present.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]A shaky breath was drawn as Travelpassion asked his question. The ultimate answer was 'no'; nobody in the clan romantically interested him. He could not help it. Blackjack would have liked to get with somebody and show large amounts of love towards them, but he'd never felt that way about anybody besides Salixcloud. And it was all her fault that he couldn't let his heart go elsewhere, eh?

"No," the lion said, teeth grinding together. "I did... many moons ago. It's had to have been at least two years. We got married, but she... died." A paw was brought up for him to inspect. He wasn't trying to let his clanmates know that he was still hung up on the ex-HawkClan medicine cat.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]"Does anyone want to go huntin'?" Blackjack's voice rang from across the new HawkClan territory and camp. He was unsure what to think about it yet, but... he knew he would miss the redwood forest. Although charred and mostly destroyed, he would probably visit the place often. After all: it was where many of his important life events happened. Could anybody blame him because he was connected to the place?

Things changed. Nobody was every in control of it - although now, it seemed like StarClan was fucking with them and telling them of poor futures if they did not do as demanded. However, they had moved to the new territory. Perhaps the deceased pro-clanners would give 'em a break now.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]As condolences were passed to him, a funky look crossed over his jaw. He loved Sal, sure... and she loved him in return. But she also loved his brother for crying out loud. In the end, the white she-cat had chose to stay with him merely because Concretejungle had disappeared. Now that Blackjack was thinking about it, it made him angry. He sunk his claws into the sand. When would he get over Salixcloud?

Then, Travelpassion announced it was his turn to ask a truth or dare. "Oh! Yeah, right, I forgot." A laugh came from his mouth and sounded quite natural, but it was forced. He wanted to move past his wife's death. "Bitterblue, truth or dare?"

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]Blackjack was the first to arrive. He carried himself over groggily. He'd been taking a nap when he heard the one-eyed vulture's call for a meeting. Almost immediately, the aviator had woken up and made his way over, catching the majority of what Egretstar said before sitting down.

"Sorry, Egretstar..." he said quietly, eyes becoming downcast. Blackjack knew he had been slacking lately, and he greatly wished to change that. He'd come back to HawkClan for a reason, after all: he wanted to help his birthplace out. "I'll try 'n bump up my game. Anyways, I can go help looking for Kururi and Twilighttown..." He was pretty sure those were the only two high positions missing anyways. He would then wait for the leader to continue speaking.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]He wasn't exactly great with making flower crowns... his paws were big, and although they became very useful whilst hunting or fighting, they were made to be feeble flower crown makers. It was hard for him to tie the stems of the flowers together without somehow breaking them in half. So, instead of requesting for either flowers of a flower crown, Blackjack walked up and watched Aurorapaw intently.

"How'd you learn how to do that?" He asked in awe as he watched her make flower crowns. "I've tried to for years now, but... I'm too clumsy with my paws."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width:500px;][justify][size=9pt]"Mmph. Sorry. Kinda zoned out there." His mind had been plagued with thoughts of Salixcloud, and he couldn't believe how he was still in love with her after all the shit they'd been through... ah, whatever. Attempting to push it to the back of his mind, he would settle on the image of Bitterblue. "I dare you to... eat a raw egg." A small giggle came from the male's mouth as he said this - hopefully his attempts, along with everybody else's, would lighten the mood.
