PaisleyKit shuffled her paws in the clearing, hoping that the movement would warm her frigid body. The icy winds blew hard and strong, chilling the camp. Leaf bare was the darkness looming over everybody's head, the thought of greencough, starvation, colds, and a short supply of herbs overwhelmed the clans every leaf bare. But the tortoiseshell didn't know that. Of course, all she could remember is the sweltering sun of green leaf, this was very different. Even though it was afternoon, the sky brightened by the sun arcing high over the camp, the cold was coming, and it was coming fast. A wispy tail raked up the remaining leaves. She'd only have to stand three more sunrises of this boredom, because pretty soon, the cute little she cat was to be apprenticed.
What a strange match her and her future mentor are, one sweet and innocent, the other the exact opposite. But, natrually, the two weren't from here. Both were born on different areas of the earth. Niether from the clans.
Paisley's fur fluffed out, blocking out the threatening wind. Her small face turned upwards towards the sky, and she stared blankly at the fluffy white clouds, as if painted, onto the periwinkle blue sky. Oh, the world was marvelous. But boredom wasn't.
