once a long, long ago, a young cat named ariana's mother was slain by a shadowclan cat. this ariana was outraged, and swore vows of vengeance. the night her mother was killed, ariana had a dream. a dream about her mother, who came to her at a place with a big, metal thing that made a huge dong every few seconds. she whispered, "come, to wish well for her at the toller's bell. to come and make a clan. this clan will believe in us, or we will wither away among the stars and wind. in turn, we will help you. we cannot help you physically, but we can warn you when we can. for you are the chymers and we are the tollers, and we cannot live without eachother." and so ariana did.

"ah, i see, day has come. would you like to stay and know more of our territory? very well then, come this way."
our territory begins at the plains, of which is the normal chymers' den. the den is big, the inside laid with moss. but it doesn't end there, there is a river that separates the normal chymers' den from the kitters', the kits' and the ancients'. there is stepping stones from the river begins at the top of the cliff right of the plains and river, and of which holds the first chymer's den, or the leader's, however you prefer. the beginning of the waterfall has a huge bell tower in the water; it's giant! we ring it at our festivals and other things. all the dens are made of willow, by the way - our territory is pretty warm during the seasons, but you've got to pad your den thick with moss during leafbare! brrr!

1 .. we are a civilized clan, no murder or anything of that sort! harming another chymemate purposely is a crime punishable by death.
2 .. respect and obey your elders, and cats above you, as in a higher ranking.
3 .. always pray to the tollers before eating, thank them for our food. and remember, manners! we eat sitting down, and eat neatly.
4 .. do not harm nature and her friends, unless you need to.
5 .. normal chymers and others that rest below, on the plains, may not go up onto the cliff.
6 .. clan names are frowned upon, and banned. no cat shall use pro-clan names.

1 .. remember! this is advanced, no bad grammar and use speech marks properly. i will remind you - fifth warning, you're out! i'm sorry, but it just really, really, annoys me. accidental mistakes are okay, and tiny ones are okay. just no '"hello" he said "my name is example and i am here because i am". and 3+ lines for each post!
2 .. no godmodding, powerplaying, etc. if you don't know, it's like being a god-like thing and no one can hurt you, and making another character that's not yours do something.
3 .. if someone asks for a recap, give them one. it's hard when you have to read like ten pages of stuff to catch up.
4 .. all wcrpg rules apply. [size=5pt]duh[/size]
5 .. if you have an hp, be active. at least one post a week! but if you have rl issues, just pm me and someone will take over your character for a while until you come back.
6 .. you cannot be your own mate, or mentor.
7 .. no two-dimensional personalities, like 'strong and silent'. and put effort into your form!
8 .. avoid graphic scenes.
9 .. no ooc posts, unless you are giving someone a recap. and no ooc arguements. no cussing, unless its warrior cusses like 'fox-dung'.

"you wonder about the religion of our clan? ah. you must be tired of hearing 'tollers'. yes, then, i shall tell you about the tollers and our customs."
we believe that the tollers created the world, and that was why they led aura, the first leader of the chymers, to tell others that it was them. if no one believed in them, their power will fade as well as them. if that happens, the world will be destroyed.
when a cat dies, they either go to the tollers or the ringing fire. the tollers are the good clan, like starclan. to go there, you must truly be a good cat in life and you have to die either naturally or in battle. the tollers live above the great bell. when a cat goes to the tollers, the chymers ring the great bell five times. then they bury that cat at the foot of the Faller cliff. the ringing fire is not a group of cats, it is below the earth. it is a place. if you have been very evil cat, you go there when you die. the ringing fire always rings out when they receive a cat, you can always hear the first screeches of agony. if that does happen, the chymers throw the body of that cat away, usually in the river. there is no proper burial or anything.

the blue bird
back when aura still led the chymers, one day, a message was sent from the tollers that there would be a betrayal, but of course, they said it in a prophecy to the diviner. the night before the betrayal, a blue bird croaked out from a tree, calling out. then in the morning, it called out again, a feather dropping. the day of the betrayal, the same blue bird swooped from the tree and landed at aura's feet, then flew away again. when the betrayal was happening, a dark cat named sweeping trees was about to kill aura, the blue bird sang out one word. aura noticed, and slew sweeping trees instead of him killing her.
the pearl
at the time of the early chymers, they still wore little white beads on their ears, pinned. each of the chymers' beads showed a picture of the great bell tower. the beads were made by the leader, aura, who scratched the pictures onto the beads which she found long ago when she was still traveling to make the clan and find the bell. the beads are transparent, bluish. but here is a story of when a young cat found a milky bead, a shiny one that was white and smooth.
so a young kit was playing in the grass of the plains when her paw hit a hard thing. she grasped it and looked at it, and saw that it was a bead. but it was not like the one in her ear, it wasn't clear and transparent. this cat's name was little jay. she brought it to her mother, and whom which brought it to aura. as aura held it, other chymers saw it too and immediately wanted it. after the inspection, aura gave it to one of her trusted deputies and told him to keep it well. the deputy pinned it to his ear, so everyone could see it and aura's trust in him. everyone was always looking at it and they all wanted it, until one day a very jealous cat fought over the bead, and killed the deputy. the cat was banished, and he became very mad.
at night, the cat plotted to kill the leader. and the clan was in a mess, all of them wanting the pearl until aura took the pearl, and threw it into the river. everyone and everything was in chaos. so aura, frustrated, called out a meeting. then, pearls were no longer a required accessory. but then, in the dawn, the cat came back and angry, he was about to kill aura when a loyal deputy came in and saw him. the deputy killed the cat, and aura was saved.
