Snowkit play growled and jumped, hitting his side and falling the ground. She laughed and tried jumping as high as she could to bat his ears but she couldn't reach.
"Stupid kit legs!" she giggled, continuing to try batting Tinystorm's ears.

Dalaynda (Duh-layn-duh) walked through a pine forest, looking around cautiously. She had always been a little jumpy and cautious.
Dalaynda stopped dead as she saw tracks on the ground. She didn't look to see if they were old or new, she was already up a tree. Memories came surging in her mind.

Dalaynda the little black kit slept soundly next to her sister. Suddenly sharp white teeth ripped through the den and snapped her sister's spine. Instantly she went limp. Then the fox snapped at Dalaynda and she blocked out as teeth sliced through her face.

Dalaynda shook her head back to the present. She didn't like remembering that day, the day that many bad things happened. The fox had killed her sister and ripped the tip of Dalaynda's muzzle off. So now Dalaynda could not smell or taste with a rugged-looking, hairless muzzle that was ugly and made it harder to speak.
Dalaynda knew that she was fully grown now and old enough to defend herself, but every time she looked at her face she knew she would never be able to see a fox normally again.

Dalaynda shook in her tree. She always wished she were brave, but her memory made her as frightened as a kit. She raised her muzzle to the air to sniff but out it back down again. Sometimes she forgot she couldn't sniff.
Dalaynda cautiously inched down the tree and stood trembling on it's roots.
"I'm sorry if this is your territory I'll leave," she whimpered, her voice morphed from her messed up muzzle.

Dalaynda wanted to leave but hesitated. This seemed to be a group of cats living here, and she had always wanted to live in a group. His else could she live with no scent.
"Is this a group of cats living here?" Dalaynda mewed.

Snowkit felt like there was too much going on and nothing to do about it. She ran to Wavestar's den.
"I don't want to be like a normal cat. I'm not. I want to hunt and fight like a warrior because I know how. I want to have a warrior name again."

"Haildrop stop!" Wetgaze yowled as her mate dragged her forward by the scruff.
    "Where are you taking me?"
Wetgaze gasped in horror as she realized Haildrop was dragging her to the gorge.
"Stop!" she began to thrash around but Haildrop but Wetgaze's ear and she stopped.
What is Haildrop doing? One moment he loves me, and now he's trying to kill me!
Wetgaze was in a position now where she couldn't even move. She squeezed her eyes shut as Hairdrop loomed her over the edge of the gorge. The water was flowing rapidly very far below her.

Grapepaw looked around the territory and spotted a rabbit. She ran to it but it easily outran her and went to the safety of it's burrow.
I guess I won't even learn how to hunt. You need two people to hunt, and there's not anyone that would want to hunt with me.
She shrugged it off. She didn't really need to hunt. She began to walk back home.
