"I've yet to hear of this Pokemon. I'm afraid I have nothing to provide for you." She said sadly.

"Why, yes. These two-" She motioned to Gip and Pip, "are my current studies. They are very similar, but were found in separate parts of the region. I want to see their evolutionary differences, and this one-" She pointed to Tictic, "just recently invaded my lab, and I took a liking to him.
-
"Didn't Joan tell you what should be happening?" Rayn asked quietly, intimidated by the terrifying monsters and humans that lurked in the temple.
-
OOC: I'll start RPing Gres soon, just waiting for a point where I can implement him.
IC: Shion suddenly felt a wave of malice overcome him, and knew that something terrible was approaching. Shuddering slightly, he nudged Rayn and whispered quietly "Behind us... That four-legged cat-like creature that looks like it's burning... It doesn't seem to be too happy with us." Rayn nodded.
"What should we do?"
"Stay nonchalant until it decides to attack, and it will attack." He responded. -
"Well, Pip-" She motioned towards Pip, "is a female Brubble, and a water type, and Gip-" She motioned towards Gip, "is a male Grubble, and a bug type." She said. "Oh, and Crimket is a bug type as well."
-
Slowly, Rayn and Shion trudged towards the altar, feeling drawn towards the menacing, dark table-like place.
-
Heather, slightly abashed, looked up as if she'd be able to see past her ceiling. 'I wonder what that was...' She thought, tuning herself out to the world as she mentally calculated the roar. What could this Pokemon be? It sounded like... Well, no, that wasn't possible. Rayquaza surely wouldn't make itself known. Especially in Lashen airspace... She shook her head slightly. "Anything else you needed, Redwood? I was planning to head out when everything here is sorted, maybe regain Petisect..." She sighed and let her head fall back, hitting her desk with a muffled 'clunk' as she obsessed over the day's craziness.
-
Heather sat, overwhelmed by all the people in the lab. "Yes, Petisect is a fairly new discovery of Lashen Professors, he was in my care, then..." She paused, "He was... Uhm... Kidnapped." She said quietly, fearing the other professor's response. "Anyways!" She said, clapping her hands together. "What do you all want?"

Petunia looked in awe at the beautiful shiny Lucario. River, who had finally batted away the Gargantula that had been chasing her, barked happily."Wow, you look great!" The water started exclaimed, her eyes tracing the Lucario's outline.
Petunia knelt down and patted River, who jumped into her arms. Now at only level ten, the small dog-like creature was far less experienced than any of the other Pokemon in the vicinity.

A medium-sized group of creatures, who all had a crown of black fire billowing upon their equally shadowy faces, murmured quietly in hisses and muffled shrieks, as if in masks. They seemed to gravitate to the four, emanating rage. Shion shuddered again and tensed. "Rayn-" Then the creatures attacked. The four creatures' mouths opened wide to reveal a burning blue flame, and then they converged together as if in a hive mind. Behind them, a fifth, larger creature stood immobile, it's mouth opened to reveal a violet flame.

OOC: If you want you can make more characters that real with Ray. Unlimited character cap :)
IC: Arachne stopped. He was planning to go back to his base when he head distant roars over the land. Smiling brightly, he called upon his Volcarona and hopped on it's back, commanding it to follow the roar, but not to attack. Wind whipped his ginger hair back, and his black trench coat billowed behind him as he held tightly to Volcarona's heated hide. Narrowing his eyes through the cool cloud cover, he soon felt Volcarona put on a burst of speed. The chase was on. What he was chasing, though, was unknown to him.
-
Shion focused hard. "They fear... Water. Rayn, do you think you can control your powers?" He asked, and Rayn nodded tentatively. "Kate, try and shield us while Rayn works!" He commanded.
"I... I think I can. Let me concentrate..." She stopped talking, and Shion removed his arm, making sure nothing touched her.
-
Arachne glowered as the Pokeball fell. "What's wrong with you, you git?!" He pounded his fist down, just hard enough to make the Pokemon whimper. "Get the Pokeball!" Volcarona went into a dive, and swooped beneath the ball, just in time to let Arachne catch it before pulling into a soar, changing direction. Arachne smiled loftily at the ball. "Oh, my little pet, you can't escape me that easily... Volcarona, bring us back to the lab!" He had started gentle, but his demeanor changed quickly as he ordered his Volcarona. Stashing Petisect's ball into his inside coat pocket, his eyes glittered happily. He may not have caught the unknown Pokemon, but he sure as hell would make Petisect obedient, and he knew just how to do it.

Twirling, one of the midnight black creatures advanced towards the escaping Scott, pelting in front of him and screeching in anger. Rayn, who suddenly fell to her knees, lifted a hand, sending a jet of water at the creature, hitting it squarely in the mouth where it's flame resided. Crying out in pain, the creature vanished, it's flame extinguished. In its place, though, stood two more, identical to the previous occupant of the space, and advanced. Shion gasped.
"Rayn, not the individuals... Try hitting the violet one. Extinguish its flame!" He commanded, trying to clear the advancing creatures' minds as they came, only slowing them for seconds. "Kate! We need you!"
-
OOC: Not really.
IC: Two of the darkness creatures clawed at Scott, blocking his path towards the altar with gleaming resilience in their eyes. Their clawed hands swiping eagerly at the boy. Rayn panted and held up her hand weakly, but cried out in pain as one of the creatures slashed her hand, and black blood flowed from her hand onto the floor. She gasped as another creature advanced behind her, tearing at her back. Shion yelled.
"NO!" He shouted, and everything seemed to freeze around him. Angrily, he felt his mind pounding. The darkness creatures suddenly screamed in pain before turning away, and attacking the two headed creature and large beast. They fought with malice as Rayn slowly crumpled to the ground, her back and hand torn.
-
OOC: Arachne already possesses the pokeball again.
Arachne smiled widely as he landed, sending Volcarona away with a swoop of his arm, as he entered his hidden lab, crawling through the brush before opening an inconspicuous hatch and walking through the winding hallways, before stepping into the elevator and moving to the bottom floor. The floor he had fondly named the torture chamber. As he exited the elevator, he released Petisect into a tiny cage that would cause him to lay, and rummaging through the clutter.
-
Shion panted as his mind whirred back to normal, and he collapsed next to Rayn. "Get... Get her to safety, please..." He breathed shallowly. He felt drained, but he had to make sure Rayn was alright...

OOC: Kate is the last man standing, she can get the gem and sacrifice it now. -
Arachne finally found what he was looking for. A buzzing collar of sorts held in his hand, the man stood, calling two of his spider Pokemon, Galvantula and Ariados, to hold down the Pokemon, while his Venomoth scattered sleep powder heavily on it.
-
OOC: Hey, sorry, I'm grounded, but I'll be back soon okay... New person/pokemon are accepted, and whoever has the Rayquaza, my human can barely fit through the hallways, I doubt a pokemon five times his width and height would be able to enter :)
-
OOC: Accepted, sorry, still grounded.
-
Rayn groaned. Her head throbbed as if a mallet pounded against her temple, and she let out a muffled screech when she sat up, reopening the long gashes along her left arm and back. Panting roughly from the pain, she dragged herself slowly to Shion, who lied on the ground with his right leg bent at an odd angle. He breathed shallowly, in quick, unsteady puffs, and Rayn lied next to him protectively. Looking to Scott, she grimaced.
"I... I don't think light fern can heal this much... We-" She gasped in pain when a searing breeze whipped past her, "We need to amputate it... The fern can act as an anesthetic, if you crush it into a salve. Just..." She trailed off for a moment, "Do it soon!" She finally hissed. Cringing again, she reached into Shion's small bag, pulling out his semi-long steel dagger and holding it out for him to take. "The fern can scar over if you make a clean enough cut... My back, we'll deal with later..."
